We are a beach front unit. Nothing separates us from the water but 50 feet or so of pure white sand. This 10th floor unit has spectacular views. A great vacation awaits you.
Let the sounds of the waves put you to sleep soundly in the master bedroom with King-size bed and balcony access. Guest bedroom has two single beds perfect for children. Very comfortable queen sleeper sofa allows two additional persons. Each room has TV/cable/DVD/VCR.
Spacious kitchen has everything you need to make a gourmet meal. Plenty of seating - table seats 6 plus 4 seated at the breakfast bar.
We welcome children of all ages. The little ones will enjoy the selection of knick-knacks stored in the unit. The older kids will enjoy the use of boogie boards and other beach gear.
Island Royale is a high end Alabama beachfront condominium with extra features including a grill/BBQ area, fitness center, sauna, steam room, indoor/outdoor swim through heated pool and indoor and outdoor hot tubs! Island Royale has only 6 units per floor and under 100 units total. Private beach access gives you plenty of space to enjoy the beautiful azure water and white sand of Gulf Shores.
A number of shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Bike to the Alabama State Gulf Park. Beautiful view of Little Lagoon from the front door.

Wonderful stay! Beautifully decorated - 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths! Two teenage grandchildren gave it 5 stars! Three TVs made everyone happy! Fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. Fantastic beach right outside. Terrific bargain. Very clean and convenient to all tourist attractions. We would definitely visit this place again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family, 2 adults & 2 teenagers, spent a week at this condo. It's a great spot with a nice big balcony facing the beach. It was great to have the 2 bathrooms & 2 bedrooms (one of which has twin beds which our kids appreciated). The condo is nicely decorated and really well stocked with all the esentials. We really appreciated the fact that there were beach chairs we could borrow. Really the only thing missing was a hairdryer. The building has a nice indoor/outdoor pool and 2 great hot tubs. Dealing with the owner was super smooth & a real pleasure.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

The condo owner is great to rent from and very easy to work with on rental. We have rented from the owner the past 3 years without incident. The entire property is very nice.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was all that we expected. Enjoyed our time on the beach and the view was great from the balcony. Lots of great places to visit and the fresh seafood was very good. We would definitely book the condo again. Location was good - close to some very good restaurants.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was very spacious and comfortable. The view was amazing and we had so much fun sitting on the balcony enjoying the sights and sounds as well as spending lots of time down at the beach. It was really nice to be able to just take the elevator down and walk out to the beach. The closet on the balcony held lots of items that the owner allowed us to borrow which kept us from having to bring them from home. There is also a common area by the breezeway that we could take things from to use for the week. If you arrive on Sat. go right down there and see what you can find. The owner was very quick to respond to our questions prior to our stay and was very easy to work with. We would highly recommend eating at Niki's Seafood in OB, taking the Surf's Up Dolphin Cruise, and kayaking at OB Watersports while you are here! Great experiences!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The condo was clean and had necessities until you could get to the store. Lots of near-by attractions and entertainment for the grandchildren. Being right on the beach was very convenient. The boys really enjoyed the go carts. I don't know where the 7th bed was.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We had a wonderful stay at your condo. We would definitly stay again. The condo was clean and spacious. Our girls loved 'their room'. We made ourselves at home and didn't want to go home. A dream vacation. IF i had to choose 1 thing i would change it would be the mattress on the master bedroom. It was a little hard, but i am used to a soft bed. I still would stay again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family enjoyed our stay tremendously!!! The condo was great and roomy for our family. The balcony area was the perfect spot to start and end our days. I highly recomend this rental to anyone. The condo was extremely clean and had everything you need for your stay.. The owner was very helpful with all my questions and concerns and was quick with responses. I have a son with special needs and in regards to him the layout was perfect. The balcony railing is at a perfect height so he couldn't lean over and fall. I have already recommended this property to all my family and friends. While we were there we visited Perdido Pass and fished with our sons which was thrilling to watch them catch fish. The looks on their faces were priceless. We enjoyed eating at The Oyster House and Wintzell's. We went deep sea fishing on The Cat out of Sportsman Marina and had a great trip... We will be going back and booking this condo again.....Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We traveled 16 hours from Michigan to this beautifully decorated condo with our 2 children ages 13 and 12. We were very comfortable in this condo and loved the blue and green colors and family artwork. We had been told the beaches in Gulf Shores were beautiful, but didnt realize how beautiful until we saw them with our own eyes. Our kids had a blast body boarding and playing in the sand. The local restaraunts were very accomodating to families and the food was delicious. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub everyday on our way back from the beach. Gulf Shores was definately worth the drive! I would definately recommend this condo and Gulf Shores to just about anybody, its nice to visit such wonderful places in our own U.S.A. This was not only a great spring break for our family, but my sister suprised my husband and I with a little beach vow renewal for our 15th Anniversary....This is one vacation that I will always treasure.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This propert & owner where phonomenal! The listing was just as described. Photos were accurate. Very clean & well maintained! Owner responded promptly with all questions & concerns prior to visit (& even once during visit!) I would highly recommend this property to anyone! Cancellation policy:
Key Pick Up: Keys provided by key-code – to be emailed by owner upon receipt of final payment. 1. This is a NON SMOKING unit. Evidence of smoking in unit or on balcony forfeits security deposit. 2. Sorry, no pets allowed. 3. Age restriction of 25 or older unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. 4. DAMAGE/RESERVATION REFUND: The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. a. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned before departure. d. Keys are returned to front desk. f. No linens are lost or damaged. g. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), the local law enforcement, or the building security. Excessive noise (loud music, etc) can result in eviction. 5. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of guests is limited to six (6) persons. 6. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE: While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. A small supply of soap/shampoo is provided, but we suggest you bring additional bath supplies. One load of laundry and dish washer detergent is provided, we suggest you purchase or bring additional supplies. 7. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS: Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in. 8. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS: Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. 9. PARKING PASSES: Must display parking pass in your vehicle. 10. HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY: No refunds will be given unless: a. The National Weather Service orders mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or b. A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest. The day that the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund: 1. Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered, 2. Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten their stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and 3. Any advance rents collected for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period. 11. CANCELLATION – Cancellations are accepted if 30 days or more before arrival date, with full refund less $45 processing fee. Cancellations within 30 days forfeit their security deposit. Cancellations within 7 days forfeit all rent – owner will offer balance paid as a credit on a future rental for good causes, at the discretion of the owner. Owner will allow change in dates due to illness of a family member.

About the owner: I co-own the property with my brother-in-law from Atlanta. He is in the IT industry, I own a small business in Birmingham that provides services to non-profit associations. I have 3 young girls and a wife; my brother in law and my family love the beach.
Why the Owner Chose Island Royale:
We love the indoor pool for those in between seasons like March, April, October and November when it may be just a bit too cold to go in an outside pool. Of course December-February the indoor pool is a must. We also love the ability to walk to stores and restaurants. Gulf Shores is also great for biking with many dedicated bike lanes and sidewalks, we find it to be much more bike and pedestrian friendly than any other beach location I can think of. But my favorite thing about Gulf Shores is meeting people from all over the USA: Kansas, Texas, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and on and on. We love meeting people and talking with them about why they chose Gulf Shores, how the enjoy it, etc.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our property gives you the beach front experience: Sit on the balcony and listen to the waves. That is #1. Open the screen door in the master bedroom and sleep listening to the waves. That is #2, or maybe a tie for #1. We are also one of the rare units that shares our beach gear. We leave the balcony storage open so guests may use our beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and beach toys. This is a big advantage when it comes to packing for the beach. We also stock our unit with playing cards, puzzles and other games and items for those rare rainy days.
