Welcome to the Sand Castle located on the beautiful Silver Strand Beach! We are pleased you are interested in our home and we look forward to opening it up to you. Silver Strand Beach is an exclusive beach community located in Oxnard and stretches over a mile long between Channel Islands Harbor and Port Hueneme Harbor.
Our home has breathtaking views of the Channel Islands. Watch the surfers catch waves in the early morning as you enjoy your cup of coffee on the deck. Or sit back and marvel at the spectacular array of colors that dance across the sky as the sun sets. This will prove to be a little piece of heaven on earth.
“The Strand”, as locals call it, is a level white sandy beach and has a reputation for world renowned surfing, bogie boarding, wind surfing and body surfing. It is considered by many to be the best surfing beach in Oxnard. One of the best parts of Silver Stand is that it is not crowded like you will find at neighboring beaches. It is very serene and peaceful.
Whatever you crave to eat, we have it….and it bursts in flavor!! The myriad of restaurants that are found in this area are wonderful. Or if you prefer to cook, just pick up your groceries; we have some of the freshest produce in the country, often grown right here in Ventura County!
Camarillo, which is just a short drive, has a wonderful Outlet shopping mall. Santa Barbara and Malibu are both also just a short, but extremely beautiful drive down the Pacific Coast Highway, also known as the PCH.
Once you get here, all you have to do is relax, unwind and let the views do the rest! We welcome you to our home and look forward to helping make your trip one that will become a family tradition!

This was a vacation like no other- House was exactly as listing showed - beautiful, clean and lots of "extas" to accomodate us ~ Weather was beautiful, surf was great and it was a perfect spot for walking on the clean sandy beach ~or just relaxing on the porch overlooking the ocean.The jacuzzi on the porch was great too! It was perfect for our family and guests who came by ~We would definitely recommend this house to a family or group .~~Loads of room and things to do ~~we did not leave the property during our stay to do anyting else but enjoy it and the beach ! The owners are great people to work with as well ~

We were very pleasantly surprised with the nice accommodations at the Beach Front Castle. The incomparable views, the overall layout, and the roominess all made our stay memorable. We have rented many homes in this area over the years, and this was one of the best. The kitchen was also well-equipped - important for our cooking family. And of course, the pool table and ping pong table make the evenings a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone.

My family stayed here in 2010 and I have wanted to return. What better way than to bring my high school friends here to enjoy your home! We all had an amazing, relaxing time in your home and beach! They couldn't stop commenting how this was SO much better than staying in a hotel!! Looking forward to another stay at The Beach Front Castle!

While the weather was uncooperative, the house and location were both amazing. The kids and adults found plenty to do and we can't wait to go back. We recommend bringing bikes to explore the area as the house is in a wonderful community with restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The house offers a small kitchen downstairs by the beach with the main kitchen on the second floor. It worked well for us as we had 5 little kids running in and out of the house to play on the beach. We highly recommend this house if your planning a beach getaway.

What an amazing family vacation we had in your home! The house has EVERYTHING one needs from adults to kids. Having grown up in Oxnard, old friends came over to hang out, which we did on the wonderful deck and the beach, & they loved it as much as we did. Our boyz played football on the very open and clean beach, and LOVED the game room! We can't wait to return next year! Thank you!!

I rented this house for a week to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. We had some family/friends over and everyone was so impressed by the house. It has so much to offer for both adults and kids. It has the perfect location, great views, in a great neighborhood. The weather that week was kind of cloudy and cold, except for a couple days of sun. I guess that's to be expected for Oxnard. Nevertheless, it was a great week. We got the R&R that we so badly needed :o) Last but not least, Shirley is so great. She's a real sweetheart and so easy to work with. Although we did not have the sunniest days (but we know that about the California coast) we had a great vacation in this home. The house is in great condition, well furnished and has almost every gadget you would need. All of the beds were comfortable. Game room, computer access, wonderful. No wine glasses, but we left ours from wine tasting for the next guests! The spa on the deck is great, sit and relax and watch the sunset after your day on the beach. Close to Ojai, Ventura, Santa Barbara for quick day trips when the sun does not come out till later. The pictures do not lie, they are current! I would definitely recommend this house and return to it, and we have stayed at many in Oxnard over the last 20 years.

Had a great time at "castle". Clean, uncrowded beach. Spacious house in quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the pool and ping pong tables and hot tub. Kitchen well supplied with dinnerware and utensils. Good restaurants at Ventura Harbor (short drive away). Looking forward to returning next year. Our thanks to Roger and Shirley for sharing their beach house.
