  Have just returned from our second visit to this wonderful property and it truly has become very special to our family! We love the island, the Kohala area, the resort area and most of all this wonderful home! Words just do not express our thanks to Jan, the wonderful owner who is a dream to work with...even the smallest problem is handled so kindly and with the greatest of speed! As previously mentioned, the home is wonderfu! Clean and comfortable, modern, well equipped, quiet and the location superb! So handy to the pool and the shops right next door, everything is so convenient and easy. Having a yard for the children to run and play in is an added bonus....it just doesn't get any better than this!!! Mahalo once again Jan

  All we can say is WOW, WOW, WOW! This was our second stay in this fabulous home and we couldn't wait to get back to it.....felt like "home away from home". The interior decorating is impeccable, clean, well-stocked, organized; it's got it all. Plenty of space for entertaining/dining/enjoying "sound surround" music inside and out and once the guests have left....laying out under that incredibly black sky filled with the stars. If ever there was a day without sunshine in Hawaii, you'd be thrilled to kick back and enjoy all of the amenities of this home. Great beds/pillows, T.V.'s in every bedroom, good appliances throughout....all of life's simple pleasures are here. Great access to well-maintained pool/exercise room and the Shoppes next door are only steps away. You can take in the Hawaiian Hula Show on Sunday nights....loved by young and old alike. The Villages are close to the pounding surf of Hapuna Beach/Prince Hotel, and more shopping at the King's and Queen's shops near the spectacular Hilton Hotel. Many thanks again to the Owners for keeping this beautiful property in tip-top shape and allowing us to thoroughly enjoy our vacation in their Hawaiian Paradise; this home in the Villages at Mauna Lani.

  After many visits to Hawaii, this was our first visit to the Big Island and could not have had a more wonderful family dream vacation. The biggest factor was due to our stay in this wonderful home. The owner Jan was a dream to work with (I feel like I have a new great friend!) and could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Everything was fantastic. Home was beautiful with great constuction and every ammenity one could need. Spotlessly clean, a kitchen that was better equipped than my own, great appliances, plenty of space, a wonderful outdoor kitchen and a great yard for the grandkids to run and chase the birds. Pool on the other side of the hedge was wonderful and we met so many lovely people here from the Villages. Maintenance of the properties was top notch. It is constantly being mowed, raked, cleaned, watered and it is beautiful! Having the shops next door with a grocery store 2 minutes from your door was beyond convenient as were the restaurants and the beach club was fun with some of the best snorkelling on the entire island. We have stayed in many, many resorts in dozens of locations and can honestly say this experience in this wonderful home is right at the top for overall satisfaction especially when travelling with 3 generations of family. We are already planning our return next year! Thank you so much Jan and Peter for sharing your home with us!

  We just booked our 4th consecutive holiday vacation at this lovely island retreat. We have been traveling from the Bay Area to the Big Island for 15+ years and this has been our favorite spot so far. As our family has grown, we have needed more space and this is perfect for us! The unit is impecably decorated with designer touches throughout. Jan and Peter have made us feel like family, and we feel like we are coming home with every year's return. You could not get a better location with proximity to the market, hotels and beaches. The unit is well stocked with more than you could ask for with everything at a high quality level, from towels to glassware, bedding, snorkel gear and more. This is truly a first class location.

  My husband and I stayed here for 10 nights and absolutely loved this place. Seconding some of the other reviews, we really enjoyed how convenient this unit was to the shopping center and pool/workout area. We also liked the fact that this unit had much more lawn area than most. The unit is decorated beautifully (as indicated in photos) with plenty of Hawaiian accents, and all the conveniences you could want. There is a management company on-site to take care of any questions.

  We loved this home! Even the beautiful pictures don't do it justice! From the moment we walked thru the beautiful front door, we felt the Aloha. The classy hawaiian decor is terrific - you know you're in the islands! And the location is primo! It's close to the entrance, a minute walk from the gourmet market, has a private lanai and backyard, PLUS it's close to the pool and workout facility. My grandchildren appreciated and enjoyed the boogie boards, pool toys, and snorkling gear that was available for our use. The owners have obviously taken great care to provide everything that you'll need and then some - nicely appointed kitchen, bedrooms, baths and living area. We also took advantage of the private beach - a 2 minute drive - where the snorkling was some of the best w've ever experienced. It was perfect for "kids" of all ages! We were on the Kohala Coast to attend a wedding at the Fairmont Orchid (very close) and many of our freinds stopped by - they were all jealous of our digs! Thank you so very much! If we have occasion to be in the area again, we will definitely try to stay in this lovely home. Mahalo! Pat K.

  Aloha Janice--- We had a wonderful time on the island and were able to take a 2 hour helicopter ride around the entire island that hovered over the lava flow into the ocean.....an image that was breathtaking. We spent one night in Volcano at a B&B, and took our time driving back to see waterfalls, an old Chinese cemetery, turtles and the black sand beach. On another day, we all took a 22 mile ATV ride in the North Kohala area to the edge of a cliff viewing the sea and back to some secluded waterfalls. It was really only sunny one day, but didn't have much rain. The weather was comfortable, but somewhat overcast. Your place did not feel like a rental ---it felt like "a home" that is loved by the owners. Your home is more beautiful than the pictures and the special attention to details certainly made us feel welcome. My parents were so impressed, not only with your personal taste in decorating, but with the organization of all the instructional manuals to the TV and appliances. Special touches like the bottles of water in the fridge; the shampoo/conditioner in the bathrooms; availability of cleaning supplies; and even the flashlights by the door were extras that expressed hospitality. My parents felt this was one of the best vacations...... because of your home and thoughtfulness. We have made some wonderful memories on this trip and would like to thank you. Mahalo ---- Cynthia

  This is a fantastic unit. We stayed for 3 weeks in December 2008 and right from the moment we stepped inside it felt welcoming and very comfortable. I would say it was like home but it was so much better! Thanks to the owners who were great to work with as we were finalizing our plans and who have taken special care to make their home a treat for guests. From comfortable beds with good quality linens, beautiful furnishings and fully equipped kitchen (indoors and out) for preparing meals at home - it is all there. The unit is well located, with shops nearby and the pool just a few steps away. Mauni Lani Villages is a great place for a vacation and this unit is superb. We hope to stay there again soon.
