Recreation abounds in the foothills with plenty of hiking, mountain biking, rafting, rock climbing and more as Morrison is surrounded by several mountain parks and open space. In addition to the warm weather sports, alpine skiing, snow mobiling and several winter sports are only an hour up the road in Summit County. Charming Morrison is a tiny town of 500 people and home to famous Red Rocks Park and Ampitheatre and often a day trip for many visiting Denver.
With a new addition, our renovated mountain home was the original "town jail" of Morrison. This apartment is located right downtown and is in walking distance to various restaurants and shops. With great views and privacy, this rental has
a sprawling patio, chiminea, BBQ and comfortable furniture to enjoy evenings outdoors. Inside, the tastefully decorated apartment has a king bed, queen futon, t.v., wireless internet and cable and small den or office. The fully equipped kitchen has granite counter tops, new appliances and as well as easy access to an outside patio seating for morning coffee.
Whether you're in Denver working or just visiting, historic Morrison has a fantastic location with easy access to other destinations. The town of Morrison offers a Rocky Mountain experience with a western flavor!

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
MONTHLY RENTALS ONLY ... $2000. a month for couple or single. Additional rent is rent for more guests. A rental agreement and $1000.00 refundable damage deposit is required at the time of booking along with half of total rent. Also a departure cleaning fee of $100. Total payment due 30 days in advance. Deposits and payments are 100% refundable with a 60 day notice of cancellation and 50% refundable 30 days out from day of arrival. .

A friend and I stayed at the "old jail" of Morrison for a week in July 2009. It was a wonderful get-away and we had fun hiking and attending a concert at Red Rocks, just minutes away. The house was a perfect home base. We dined al fresco for just about every meal. We watched the peregrine falcons up on the butte and the humming birds diving from the sky. The stars were amazing, including the Milky Way. Lots of great hiking trails close to the house. It was also an easy walk to town which featured several excellent eating and drinking establishments. The home decor is lovely, spacious, bright and airy. We especially loved the over-sized stone shower! And as cooking is a joy of mine, the kitchen was a dream. A great property!
