Summertime in Quebec City

My wife, 2 daughters and mother joined me on our trip to Quebec City. It's located near a lot of restaurants, and shops (mostly on rue Saint-Joseph). Most of what you need is within walking distance, including a Metro supermarket. Everything in the unit was clean, and kitchen tools and equipment were all carefully provided for us to cook while we were there. The A/C worked well. The bathroom was spacious, so we could give a bath to our daughters. The washer and dryer was also very helpful. The original listing is for the 1st floor, but French 1st floor is the English 2nd floor. So it was a challenge hiking the stroller up the stairs every time we wanted to go out. The internet and phone also was working well, and I was using one room as a home office. You're about an $8-10 taxi ride to downtown, or you can walk uphill which is a real challenge with the family. I would rent this property again.

We loved this condo, it was clean, well appointed and maintained. All appliances were in good order and the kitchen had all accoutrements necessary for cooking. We appreciated the washer and dryer and internet. The owner was very helpful and her recommendations for restaurants and activities was appreciated. We have been visiting QC for many years and always rent condos when we visit. None of the condos we have rented in the past were what we were looking for until we rented this one. We plan to return to this condo on our next trip.

Quebec City Apartment

PROS: The condo was cute and clean. It comes with a free parking spot. It's conveniently located to a bus line which gets you to Old Quebec in 5 minutes. There are a couple of other hotels located nearby where you can pick up a tour bus. It's a short walk to a grocery store, restaurants and bakeries. CONS: The condo rented to us was NOT the one in the photos. Be aware that this condo is up 3 flights of outside stairs. There is no convertible bed so it only sleeps 4 people. There is no dishwasher. The dryer does not dry. The 3 chairs provided in the living area were very old and uncomfortable. This area is considered "up and coming," so some parts are a little rundown. We enjoyed our experience in Quebec very much. It's a beautiful city where you can always find something to do.
Owner response:Thank you for your apreciation. We decide to renove this condo #3. (Bathroom, Kitchen and living furniture.) The renovation will be finish for Mars 2011. It will be the more beautiful . Thank and regard, Lisette du www.lemeribel.ca

This rental in downtown Quebec City was convenient for shopping and restaurants. There was dedicated off street parking. The kitchen facilities were excellent and the apartment was tastefully and comfortably furnished. This place is deserving of highest praise.
