  My husband and I stayed with another oouple in Villa dei Pini for 8 days. The property was so beautiful. We sat out on the balcony every morning with coffee and every evening with a glass of vino and enjoyed the view and talked about the day. The villa was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were able to do our laundry, cook our meals and relax after long days of sight seeing. The villa is centrally located with grocery stores, restaurants, train station and bus stops nearby. We had a car (which is a MUST) and drove to Lucca, Voltera and around Pontedera. We took the train to Florence, Cinque Terra and a bus to Pisa. We had the most wonderful time; the weather was perfect. Vivettta and Marco were so sweet and helpful in planning our day trips. I would highly recommend this property for a wonderful stay in Tuscany.

  We cannot say enough about the villa and Vivetta and Marco. They truly are super hosts. Not only are they good people, but Vivetta is also a fantastic cook. We enjoyed some of her fantastic Tuscan food and her delicious sauces. The villa is absolutely clean and spotless. It is very safe and is gated. We found this place to be very convenient and central to a lot of day trips. Florence 35mins, Pisa 20 mins, Lucca 25 mins, Siena 1 hr 15 min.The beach near Livorno is also very close.You will definitely need a car when staying here. Vivetta and Marco were very helpful with directions and advice about the places to visit or to avoid. They have a lot of maps and pamphlets about tourist places of interest, which we found very helpful. Vivetta and Marco thank you very much for your kind and warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. If you a looking for a place to stay while in Tusacny, in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, friendly hosts and awesome Tuscan food, then this is the place.

  Absolutely wonderful. The property was better than described and the owners generosity and friendliness were exceptional. We received directions for travel, eating, and sightseeing every day and the advice was perfect. I would recommend the Villa Dei Pini to all my friends, associates, Presidents and Kings and Queens of the World. We just had a lasting memorable experience that will stay with us forever.

  The on-line listing is understated compared to the actual property which very clean and extremely well maintained. To our friends we have described the house as a mansion and it is so spacious we felt “lost” at first. There are French doors in the halls between the bedroom spaces and living, so if you have early risers, they do not have to disturb the others. Villa is beautifully furnished in rich woods. We especially enjoyed the view from the balcony where we took morning coffee and evening wine. All amenities were available, including a generous assortment of electrical adaptors. Vivetta and Marco are very warm, welcoming and generous. We were treated to home-cooking (Vivetta made us the most amazing Bolognese sauce) and we were greeted with an amazing Chianti. Admittedly we needed their help with making reservations at local restaurants as we did not have much luck on our own. The villa is so pleasant, you might want to spend all your time there, but it is in a small community so a car is needed if you plan to see the sights. There is a train station only 15 minutes away. We preferred to travel to places such as Pisa and Florence that way. We have and will continue to recommend this place to family and friends.

  I just love my Italian home away from home!!!! I look forward to every trip to Tuscany, especially because I know that my experience will be comfortable and relaxing! Staying at Villa Dei Pini allows me to unwind from the stresses of everyday life as I explore all of the wonders that Tuscany has to offer! The setting is beautiful and very peaceful, yet close to so many fantastic places to visit in Tuscany. Imagine my surprise when I found that there is a Prada outlet less than 15 minutes from the apartment! If you are looking for the comforts of home blended perfectly with the Tuscan lifestyle, Villa Dei Pini is the place to stay. I cannot imagine a visit to Tuscany if I weren't staying there. Vivetta and Marco make every visit special!

  We stayed here this summer for a few nights to visit our cousin. Beautiful house, centrally located for visiting all that Tuscany has to offer. Our four-year old particularly enjoyed feeding the resident tortoises and Vivetta was very thoughtful giving us a big box of toys for Sean to play with…. Very roomy and comfortable.

  I have stayed at the Villa dei Pini multiple times over the past decade. Each time, I am met by the warm welcome of Vivetta and Marco. They treat each of their guests like members of their families. The property is like a home away from home. In fact, it is larger than the home I usually live in! The apartment is equipped with all the conveniences of one's own house: linens, kitchen appliances, pots, pans... in short, everything you need to live like a real Italian for your vacation. The hamlet of Castel del Bosco is centrally located, just minutes from the major east-west autostrada between Pisa and Florence (20 minutes from Pisa airport). Being so convenient to the highway, you are just an easy drive to any of Tuscany's major attractions, be they siteseeing opportunities, or beaches. I would recommend this property without any reservation to anyone wanting a stress-free sojourn under the Tuscan sun!

  We loved our time at Villa Dei Pini! Everything was perfect, including Vivetta and Marco. The location was very convenient for day trips and the house was large and well equipped. If we return to Tuscany, we would certainly stay there again. Jackie and Joe Mazur

  I had the most wonderful experience when I first visited Tuscany in July of 2003. I stayed at Villa dei Pini with a friend of mine. I felt like I was staying in a friend's home rather than a vacation rental. I enjoyed beautiful views from my bedroom and enjoyed many a meal on the balcony. This was one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever had! The apartment is close to so many sites. It was easy to get to the train station or just hop in the car and be on our way! The owners extended their warm, Tuscan hospitality upon my arrival. By the end of the week, I felt like a member of their extended family! Anything that we needed, they were quick to take care of. I enjoyed staying in a neighborhood rather than in the middle of all of the tourist attractions. It was truly the best of both worlds ... a relaxing home away from home in a beautiful, tranquil setting, just close enough to enjoy all that Tuscany (and Italy) have to offer!
