Casa de la Fuente is perched high on the hillside of “Los Balcones”. This magnificent open aired home is perfect for those who want to be within a short walking distance of the vibrant heart of El Centro, yet retreat back to peace, tranquility and “spring like” breezes that sooth the weary spirit. Facing northwest, the house overlooks San Miguel and the Sierra Madre Mountains, commanding spectacular views and sunsets seen on four of the terraces.
Enter through the commanding, early 1800, hand carved, antique door, into our 4 bedroom, smoke free casa. A colorful red wall with nichos on each side, guide you down a few steps into a charming living room with two inviting upholstered sofas and seating area centered around a beautifully carved cantera fireplace.
The dining area features a hand-made, round mesquite dining room table (seats 8) and is surrounded by imported, hand-carved cabinets. The entire living room and dining room area offer extraordinary views beyond the main terrace, to the lower garden area and the mountains beyond.
The living and dining area flow out to the main terrace, also overlooking the gardens, San Miguel and beyond. The terrace features a comfortable sitting area around a fireplace and an oval table for dining outside. (seats 8)
As you walk down from the main terrace past the fountain, a magical garden calls out to you saying “por favor, pase and leave your troubles behind”. Tucked away behind the lush flowering gardens, a bubbling hot tub, (up to 12 people) greets you with its soothing sound.
Also located on the main floor is a large, fully-stocked kitchen featuring a counter top with bar stools, as well as a round breakfast table (seats 4). This beautiful, sky lit room can also be used as an artist nook.
