Want to stay in a new cedar cabin on the quiet coast of Maine? Sunset Cove cabin was built in 2006. It is a two story cabin with 3 upstairs bedrooms. Its location is very private and peaceful. It is 75 feet from the water at high tide, part way down a small cove. There is a deck with a view of the bay on the bank above the water. Kayaks and bikes are available for use. The property has hiking trails and gravel beaches to explore as well as a marsh with tidal pools.
Located at Birch Point, you will rediscover nature. Famous for its bald eagle population, the area has some of the highest tides in the world. Birds of all kinds, including sea birds such as coot, ducks, loons, sandpipers and terns abound. Wildlife, including moose, deer, bear, rabbits and foxes may also be spotted.
The cabin has propane (gas) appliances including, stove, refrigerator, hot water heater and gas lights which are easy to use. Because of our remote location, we do not have electricity or television. We have an office phone for guest use.
If you are looking for solitude, great views, ocean breezes, rugged coastline and woods to explore, then you will not be disappointed. Sunset Cove offers a return to the past, when life was much simpler and a remote setting not often found on the coast of Maine. |
