Our gorgeous, two-bedroom, beach front apartment is in Villas Playasol, an intimate and secure condo complex located on the soft white sand of Mexico’s Riviera Maya. With an ocean view and just steps from the sea and the biggest blue pool in Puerto Morelos, our modern little Mexican hide-away is a wonderful vacation choice for couples or families.
The condo features a shady breakfast balcony, pool and ocean view, and manicured tropical gardens. Playa Sol is not just a rental property — it’s our summer home! For your convenience, we offer an on-site, English-speaking manager plus, we rent for our neighbors if we're booked. Ask about availability.
If you're into wet-tee shirt contests and loud parties, this is not for you. Puerto Morelos is a laid-back fishing village with an appealing mix of Mexican, Canadian, American, and European residents. Its location is perfect for visits to Maya ruins and colonial towns, shopping and nightlife, or swimming and snorkeling the colorful reef just off our beach. We have such good snorkeling that the reef has been declared a Marine National Park.

June and Bruce are professional travel writers who have been writing about Mexico and Latin America for two decades. Their Yucatán and Riviera Maya travel guides have won national book awards and their photos have been exhibited at the National Arts Club in New York. They live in Puerto Morelos for three months of the year and visit frequently.
Why the Owner Chose Puerto Morelos
A number of years ago we decided to buy a place in one of the many appealing south-of-the-border towns and villages we visited either as travel writers or while on vacation. To choose, we each made a separate list of our favorite places and wouldn't you know it, Puerto Morelos topped both our picks. It's a lovely location, quiet and safe yet close to the airport, hospitals, shopping, and recreation. Kick off your shoes and walk downtown on the beach!
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
We think our condo is arguably the best one in Villas Playasol. It catches the ocean breezes without being too windy and has a shady balcony where we eat our breakfast and dinner al fresco. We live there so we know you'll find it a comfortable, fully equipped apartment, not an impersonal rental. And you can't beat the big pool, white sand beach, and close proximity to shops, restaurants, and the central square.
