Excellent condo with incredible location

We stayed in Steve and Rena's condo for four nights in September. The unit is very comfortable, clean, fully stocked and has an incredible location which gives new meaning to the word oceanfront. The staff was gracious and friendly. Terrasol was empty so we had Mario all to ourselves. He was doubling as cook and bartender but was great at both. We didn't have much time so we mostly stayed around the marina and took as many excursions as we had energy for. The snorkeling cruise to Chileno bay and the sunset dinner cruise on the Caborey were our favorites. Alexander's at the marina has great steaks/seafood and service. Esther at the front desk was a joy and Marie did a good job with the cleaning. Steve & Rena are friendly, well organized and very good to work with. I am grateful they are willing to share their home with the rest of us.

Ideal Location at Terra Sol

Stayed at this wonderful condo in mid-Feb 2011. The owners are absolutely delightful to work with, and are obviously experienced in the process. All your paperwork is neatly packaged, along with very helpful tips for the newbie. Having stayed at the Sol Mar 7 times (remember the Rocca Suites?) and the Playa Grande 4 times, I can say I truly enjoyed this condo. It has the original characteristics and charm of the old Sol Mar, without the big groups of people. Imagine always being able to find a poolside lounge chair (try that at Playa Grande in the summer!) The beach faces the Pacific, and geographically speaking, the patio of this condo represents the closest Terra Sol building to Lands End. You literally step off your patio (accessable from the master or living room) to the beach, which remains private and vendor-free. A new bar has been opened, carved into the rocks just below Pedregal. It's a 10 min walk - just step out your back door and turn right. The condo is very clean, with plenty of linens, and your charming maid provides a daily cleaning up for you. There are a number of parking spaces if you rent a car, but downtown is only a 15 minute walk, or a 5 minute cab ride. This means you can leave the hustle and bustle of the night life when you're ready, and head over to your quiet side of Cabo. The view from the upper deck of the check-in lobby is postcard material, and the grounds are kept immaculate. Your kitchen is stocked with utensils and pretty much everything you need, save for the food itself. The full size washer and dryer make finding US quarters and running trips to the laundrymat unneccesary. A few steps out your front door leads to the pool and swim up palapa bar. I highly recommend this location and plan on returning in the future

A week to remember

My sister and I live on opposite coasts. We both needed to get away somewhere and relax and that's just what we did. The condo was everything it was advertised to be and the location could not have been more ideal. Only a five minute walk to the marina and ten to town. The beach is wide and serene and clean (though not swimmable) but the waves can be spectacular. We were there during the whale birthing season and we could see them spouting right off shore! And equally wonderful --- no bugs! Every night, beautiful sunsets, every morning, beautiful sunrises. For swimming there are three pristine pools with a palapa bar. We just loved the beautiful landscaping - cacti and exotic plants everywhere. We could never figure out how to use the satellite tv but we watched a movie every night and who needs tv? Thank you Steve and Rena for a wonderful vacation. It was just what we needed. Next year??

Perfect vacation condo

My family and I stayed here christmas week and found this to be the perfect vacation condo. Fantastic location close to the pool and right on the beach. Comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen. This condo has everything you need. The margaritas at the pool bar are second to none. We will be back!

My family stayed in this condo the week before Christmas and it was absolutely perfect. The pictures and description are accurate. There is no better location in Terrasol. The condo was in great shape with nearly new appliances and the ac worked great. I will definitely book this unit on our next trip. Thanks Steve for a great week in Cabo.

My husband and I, along with our two-year-old daughter, spent a week at Casa del Mar over the Christmas holidays and absolutely loved it. Initially, we couldn’t quite wrap our heads around the idea that people would rent out their Mexican condo for a charitable donation but that is, in fact, the case; they are just really good people.The owners have done a great job of maintaining the property and ensuring that it is well-taken care of. The location of this particular condo is phenomenal and one of the very best in, not just Terrasol but, all of Playa Solamar, as it is steps away from both the swimming pool and the beach. The pristine beauty of the beach and rocks also comes with a great deal of privacy as there are no hawkers or time-share reps. on the premises. Along with this privacy comes the convenience of the Talapa Bar (attached to the swimming pool) which serves a great and reasonably-priced breakfast and lunch. Even though Terrasol is a private condo complex, they take good care of their guests and provide services such as transporting luggage to and from your condo, arranging for transportation, etc . . . Finally, this complex is an easy 5 min. walk to the marina where you can find all kinds of food/entertainment or catch a water taxi to Playa Medano.Overall, this condo exceeded our expectations and we hope to be back one day!

This condo is FANTASTIC and the views are unbelievable! My younger sister from California (age 49) and I stayed a week and loved every minute of it. I was very hesitant to make the booking because I was afraid the condo was owned by an eccentric Hollywood actor who might change his or her mind, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the owners are a genuinely charitable older couple who really do have "renters" donate all of the proceeds to a Christian charity. At this condo, you step off of the balcony into the sand, and from the balcony or living room you can watch the waves and see the beautiful Land's End rock formations. We saw dolphins jumping out of the water one evening at sunset! The sunsets are beautiful, and the beach is great for walking on day or night. The pool and excellent poolside food & drinks are right outside the front door to the condo. The marina is less than a 5-minute walk, and downtown is not much further. This is a great place to stay, and I highly recommend it!
