  This house was first-class all the way. It is in a great location right across the street from the beach. We had a large party consisting of 12 adults and 3 children and we fit comfortably into the house with room to spare. The house was very clean and spacious. It is roughly 100 feet from the house to the beach, which is fantastic. The private pool in the back yard is a huge plus, as well. The owner was truly helpful to work with and quickly accessible. Overall, the week could not have gone better and we will definitely look to return in the future!

  We were there at the end of April/beginning of May. The weather was perfect and there were not many people on the beach so we felt like it was just ours. The house looks beautiful in the photos but I think it was even better in person. It's a very large house and felt very comfortable to be there with others but have your own space. Just Beautiful!

  Wow, what a fantastic property! We had an amazing time, great owners, the property was super clean and well maintained, wonderfully appointed with a great living space, comfortable bedrooms, a fantastic turn-key kitchen that was a pleasure to use...we enjoyed it so much we hardly went out, just stayed there and cooked wonderful meals, enjoyed the beautiful beach, amazing views, and never wanted to go home! I can't wait to come and visit again, don't pass this property up, or you will kick yourself.

  OMG...what a great beach house. Everything about this place was perfect. The description of this place cannot do it justice. This has to be the cleanest property we have ever stayed at. We did have to contact the owner twice but she was very, very helpful both times. We are already making plans to stay next year. We ate at some great restaurants in the area and grocery stores were really close by. Highly recommend "The Bistro" restaurant just up the road. There is a menu in the kitchen for this place. Pool was still cool but tolerable. If you can find a nicer place in Surf City, please let me know. Thanks Lisa for letting us enjoy your beach house!

  This house was AMAZING! Everything and more even an elevator. This house had everything. I could not find anything wrong with this house.Great Kitchen, 7 bedrooms(6 with bathrooms), family hang out space, Deck space, Hot tub and pool. All the extras, cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards, games and puzzles, extra blankets, extra refrigerator/freezer, nice laundry room, Crock pot and all the kitchen supplies you could need. Awesome views of the ocean, day and night. We had two families of four,the house was easy to keep straightened up. This was the BEST local vacation we ever had. Location was great. It felt like we had our own private beach.The owner is very easy to work with and always answered her phone for questions. We will definately be back.

  My sister and I were looking for somewhere to stay with our families. This was the perfect place! We had our young children, our parents, and both sets of in-laws, and there was still plenty of room to spread out. The hardest decision was whether to spend time at the beach or the pool! We cooked fresh shrimp purchased at the spound pier in Topsail, and it was outstanding. The home is well equipped, with very nice furnishings, and the owners were responsive to our emails and questions. We would definitely stay again!

  My husband and I stayed at this beachhouse from August 22-27, 2010. We feel that this house is everything that they say it is and more. The location of this house is in one of the nicest areas, with unhindered views of the ocean and beautiful sunsets on the sound. The house was very clean, with hardwood floors and extremely nice furnishings. The easy access to the dock on the sound made it very convenient for crabbing and fishing. We enjoyed the uncrowded beach, the private pool and the hot tub overlooking the ocean. The owners were very good with responding to our e-mails in a timely manner and were very nice to work with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again. We also would rate this house a 10.

  I just spend a week there and the place is a 10--I don't usually rate anything as perfect but well equipped and all that is said, is true!. I would recommend this place as a great place for families. Surf City is great place if you don't want a crowed beach and not much to do.

  great home. good service throughout. only problem was the wireless internet did not work. otherwise it was great.

  Owner response: Internet equipment and service is supplied by CenturyLink through a DSL line. The modem failed (The centrylink rep I spoke to said it was a faulty model) and was replaced as soon as we were alerted to the problem. After our guests departure he emailed us to say the internet was not working. It would have been fixed during their stay if they had phoned and and said there was a problem.
