Had a great time here! Our 3 generation family fit nicely. The porch was great. We ate most of our meals there and there was plenty of room! The access to the resort activities was a definite plus! We took the scenic boat ride and also the pirate excursion. It was also nice to have ice cream walking distance. The children enjoyed playing at the playground and swimming in the olympic salt water pool. The yard was great. Kayaks are available for your use. The view from the bedroom windows, kitchen and porch was breathtaking. We all appreciated having a washer and dryer. Totham Cove was a nice close by beach. Popham Beach State Park and Fort Popham were close by and the beach there was great! It was our first time in Phippsburg and we would definitely consider a return visit. We are missing the ocean air.

Highly recommended!! Everything was great - only the weather could have been better for our 4 generation family reunion (ages 2 - 85). The owners are fantastic to deal with - very responsive and supportive of anything that you need or if anything goes wrong. The house is great - it is large with lots of living space - we had 9 people stay the entire week including 2 young children and a dog and were always very comfortable. It is clearly more than just a rental property - there is everything you could need right there, including an abundance of towels, linens, kitchen supplies, etc. The house is very clean and well taken care of - the pictures are very accurate.
Owner response:We love to host family groups- there is truly something for everyone in this part of the world!! When we stopped by late one cloudy day, the four generations were all content and happily engaged right at the house. Of course, there are lots or adventures to be had and field trips to explore, but how nice is it to come "home" to your own place? We hope all our guests will feel at home here.

We, my husband and I, celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary with our son and his wife, and our daughter and her husband and our four adult grandchildren, in this wonderful house with it's beautiful setting. It was all perfect in every way, fortunately for us that included the weather! As we drove into the property we could hardly believe it was ours to enjoy and appreciate for our week's stay. It is NOT an ordinary "cottage", it is furnished beautifully, very well equipped, and as I said more than once, "it was too good to be true". We greatly appreciated that the Horners were willing to share this special place and location with strangers. We enjoyed everything, bike riding, kayaking, swimming some (water 68 degrees), sitting and enjoying the view, hiking, eating lobster fresh from the sea, having fresh steamed clams every night, putting it all together made an unforgettable week for our family. We also appreciated the Horner's comments and suggestions, done in a helpful and friendly way. Too, we were very happy that they have a spot. not on their lawn to interfere with croquet being set up for the entire week, to park our RV and still have easy access to it. It was a special occasion in our life together, celebrated in a beautiful place. It could not have been better in any way. Thank you Briane and Stephen Horner for making this a reality. We stayed at Briane and Steve’s Sebasco cottage for a week in early June. The weather was great and the house was perfect. We loved the huge backyard and the beautiful view of the harbor. Beautiful house in great condition. The house is just as pretty and clean as the pictures on the website. All the amenities and details taken care of – the house was well stocked with cleaning supplies, tons of fresh linens, and the kitchen had the basics. Kayaks, BBQ, Lobster cooker and other amenities worked perfectly. Internet and Cable work great, cell reception was OK too! We recommend Spinney’s and Percy’s for lobster. Great access to Sebasco Harbor Resort. This is the best house I’ve ever rented on VBRO and we look forward to coming back again in the future.
Owner response:We are always happy to host our Bowdoin College friends, parents and alums.

We have been holidaying in Maine for over 20 years with our children and now with our grandchildren. Our week in June at this delightful cottage will stand out in our memories. The ocean views, the waterfront with new dock and kayaks for our use, as well as croquet on the front lawn are all unforgettable. We enjoyed our access to the nearby Sebasco Harbor Resort - daily newspapers, bike rentals, a huge salt water pool, great ice cream cones, and a spectacular ocean view from the top of the lighthouse. This cottage was a perfect setting in which to share our love for Maine with our son, daughter-in-law and new grandson. The excellent amenities included a well-equipped kitchen, lots of baby accessories (high chair, pack & play, crib) huge screened in porch, wireless internet, lobster cooker. On top of all this, it is dog friendly! Thank you to the owners for sharing their 'home away from home' with others.

We rented this great cottage the last week in May and the weather was warm and sunny all week. There was always a cool breeze off the sea which kept us comfortable, even when the temps reached almost 90 inland. We had fun with the kayaks and at low tide, the cove was warm enough to go swimming. The kids hunted for beach glass at low tide or sat on the float with their feet dangling in the water. The house has a huge front porch which accommodated 12 of us at the table for a birthday dinner. The beds are super comfy with good quality linens and comforters. The other furnishings are nice and also high-end, including the cookware and towels. The cottage is a blend of old 1920's charm with a brand new kitchen and master bedroom. The views and seabreezes in that room were outstanding. The cottage was clean and comfortable with a feeling that you could just put your feet up and relax. The cottage has a huge front yard which overlooks the sea and is on a quiet dirt road. It is a short walk down to the Sebasco resort with a nice 9-hole course, pool and restaurants. Our little terrier enjoyed herself too! Briane was very helpful and available if we needed anything. It is a short drive to Popham beach or to Totman's Cove- a great place with a long shallow sandy beach. Fresh lobsters are everywhere and inexpensive. Park for free by the old fort and watch the seals at the mouth of the Kennebec river. I would definately recommend this to people who want to get away from it all and just relax on the lawn, deck or porch, light a fire in the fireplace and listen to the loons, seagulls and pilliated woodpeckers. The cottage is loaded with puzzles and games for rainy days, and numerous children's toys too. Fortunately, we spent all our time outside with NO blackflies. We would just move the lawnchairs around to catch the sun or shade, grab another glass of wine and a book and relax. That's what I call a vacation!
Owner response:What a wonderful week - you never know with weather in Maine!

My family stayed in this cottage for two weeks last summer. It was wonderful. The location is naturally private, thanks to the beautiful trees that surround the house. There is an inviting lawn that looks out to the water and bay beyond. My kids loved picking the wild blueberries outside the house. They also loved exploring the creatures at low tide, in addition to the campfire sing-a-longs at Sebasco Harbor Resort. We loved watching the sunset as we ate dinner on the huge screen porch.
