I have to give this home 100% the place to stay in this area. The home was more than we expected. So very clean and when you walked in you felt welcomed and the welcome basket and personalized note was wonderful. I could not believe all the amenities that were there that I have never found in another place. This may seem small to some but I was impressed: dish detergent, laundry supplies, paper towers, garbage bags...etc...then the kitchen had supplies that others would throw out. There are just to many to list. The pool was cold (but we knew not heated) but was still nice to sit out there and relax. In prior reviews I read that others wrote....yes there are very sharp knives..these people take your reviews and do take care of any issues. Thank you for opening your home to us. : )

I spent a great six weeks at Cheryl's "home away from home". The home is spacious, very well equiped and in a very convenient location. Many west valley golf courses are in close proximity - Palm Valley 10-12 mins. Raven @ Verrado ~20 mins. Coldwater 3 mins driveway to parking lot and Legacy less than 1/2 hr. For hockey fans less than 15 mins to Buy.com arena. Also Fry's, LA Fitness, Chase Bank many restaurants 5 mins away. Very relaxing sitting around the pool even in winter. Cheryl is wonderful to deal with and the gift basket was a thoughtful and much appreciated extra touch. She genuinely wants your stay to be memorable. I would highly recommend the home for a guys golf vacation, girl's getaway, family vacations, etc. I have rented several homes in the Phoenix area and this is by far the best. Would love to return in the future.

My family stayed at this lovely vacation rental home for one great week. We loved everything about this home. It is very spacious and everything you need is there. We were very happily surprised to find all the comforts of home. It was great to see they had golf clubs that we could use without paying to rent some and the bikes were great too! There was a beautiful welcome basket waiting for us and a personalized card too. We did grille out a few times and it was made so much easier as there were condiments in the fridge and all the cooking utensils we could ever need. There is a plethora of information about tourist stops, restaurants, and places to shop. We even found coupons for different attractions. We went to the Wildlife World Zoo and had buy one get one free coupons left for us in the Welcome Binder. Everything was very clean and very well organized. They even had a discount card for the local grocery store to help save us money. We loved everything about our stay and can't wait to do it again!

The house made our trip, it was awesome! The layout and decor was beautiful. We had everything we needed just like being at home. We don't eat out so being able to cook meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner was great. The bedrooms, bedrooms and TV room was well stocked with everything needed. This is important when traveling away from home that the accomidations you expect are there. The house was located close to the track, which was a big plus when we rented the house. It was also located in a quite well established neighborhood. The house was close to shopping and restaurants. We can not say enough about this property. We hope to be able to go back next year to the race and will rent this property again. The entire process was handled in a professional manner. We were happy with Cheryl and Debbie. We want to thank them both for making our trip great!

Relaxation At Its Best

We came to relax and that is what we are doing!!! The house is great-We have spent our time reading books by the pool, going in the pool (the water has been great!), and watching a video or going to the show to see a movie in the evenings. One night we had the theater all to ourselves. This was not a sightseeing trip this time and we all agreed that it has been just perfect. The September weather has been very good. Definately need a hat and plenty of water when you do go out. Husband has been walking several miles each morning and one morning I went with him to the Estrella Mountains to hike. Very HOT, even in the early a.m.

Awsome! Great place no matter if you are looking for relaxation or a great central place to use to get to many sites, THIS IS IT! Cheryl has been great to work with through the entire process. Her home is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. We flew into Phoenix and got to the house in about 30 minutes. The house is in a newer neighborhood that is very quiet and hardly any traffic. Perfect for relaxing. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary. It is very easy to get around for anything you need. Cheryl made it even easier by welcoming us with a lovely welcome basket and plenty of brochures and menus so we had some idea about the area, where to eat and shop. We traveled around the area, even drove to Grand Canyon Village. Close to many antique shops in Glendale and a little further is a wonder town called Prescott. She has a desktop computer provided in the house and WiFi so our laptop worked great and if needed we also had the desktop for looking up area info. Close by are many things like Dutchman's State Park, Saguaro National Park East (Tucson) and Sedona were easy day trips from the house. We ate some meals in the house, Sam's Club, SuperWalmart and several other stores for shopping near buy it was easy to grab steaks for the BBQ and light it up. The weather was HOT 106 when we arrived, stayed about 105-107. The pool was a nice cool way to combat the heat. Cheryl is very honest that the pool is not heated. We used the pool a couple of times but if you want to swim go late in the summer. The house was immaculate and we really liked the no smoking and no pet rule. The beds are all really comfortable. We used the master bedroom mostly. We both had good nights sleep! The sectional sofa is wonderful, I feel asleep it watching TV and it was soooo cozy. ? The private backyard pool is a year-round feature and a great place to spend relaxing times. Most people like to swim in it from May through September when the water temperature varies between 72 and 86 degrees, which can feel refreshing when the temperature is over 100. This home was beyond amazing! My family and I had to travel to AZ on short notice for a family emergency. Cheryl and her Manager made the process seamless even with our short notice. When we arrived at the Avondale home, I was instantly blown away. I stepped in and saw what appeared to be a 'Model' home. This home has a great open floor plan that is well furnished, modern, beautifully decorated, and super clean. Every amenity was there for you. Whatever you accidentally left at home, more than likely will be at this home. Also, the pool and separate outside eating area are just as clean, inviting, and lovely as the inside. This Avondale area is newer with every store and restaurant you can name close by. I went to Fry's Grocery, and I noticed a discount store card on the house keys, I saved money!! I had tons of questions prior to arrival and Cheryl made sure that I had an almost instantaneous answer. When it was time to leave the only thing I had to say was, "I don't want to leave this house." I cannot wait to get back. In the meantime, I will make sure that my friends and family know where to stay when traveling into Avondale or the Greater Phoenix Area in general.

The house is truly an escape from the doldrums of the everyday. It was sparking clean when I arrived and everything was in it's place and easy to find. The house is fully furnished in every aspect of the word. The pool was in perfect condition with a water temperature of 82 degrees in June. I will be recommending this property to my friends and neighbors for a great place to get away. Very close to everything with a lot of tourist destinations in all directions.

This was SO much more than we expected! It's impossible to adequately describe. You just have to experience it. Avondale is a lovely, peaceful, clean and friendly place with everything within easy driving distance, including some wonderful eating establishments and great shopping. Cheryl clearly cares about her guests and wants them to have the best possible stay. She has anticipated every imaginable need and is extremely generous with the amenities. It's the most fully stocked vacation rental I've seen. The home is absolutely gorgeous. It's much bigger and more luxurious than it appears in the photos. You genuinely feel that it's your home while you're there. Certain people are gifted with nurturing qualities, an eye for detail and the desire to pamper others and Cheryl is just one of those people. She remembers specific details about her guests and customizes a very thoughtful gift basket. You will not be disappointed if you rent this property, unless of course you don't book it for long enough! I'm already dreaming of next year. I'm so grateful to have found this breathtakingly beautiful gem!

Whether you are looking for rest and relaxation or a place to use as a hub to get to many sites, than this is it! Cheryl has been a pleasure to work with through the entire process. Her home is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. We flew into Phoenix and were at the house in about 30 minutes. The house is in a newer neighborhood that is very quiet. Perfect for relaxing. My husband and I went with our 18 yr old son. It is very easy to get around for anything you need. Cheryl made it even easier by welcoming us with a lovely welcome basket and plenty of brochures and menus so we had some idea right off about what to see, where to eat and shop. Since our trip was a 'no stress get away', we did not do any research about the area before hand. We took it day by day and using the maps and computer provided in the house found wonderful options to amuse us. Dutchman's State Park, Saguaro National Park East (Tucson) and Sedona were easy day trips from the house. We ate most meals in the house, with Costo, SuperWalmart and Fresh and Easy Market providing the food. The weather was great - 90's when we arrived, low 80's when we left. Cheryl is very honest that the pool is not heated. My son used it a couple of times but if you want to swim go later in the month of April. The house was immaculate and we really liked the no smoking and no pet rule. The beds are super comfortable. We used the master bedroom and my son tried the other two. Unanimous that we had great night sleep! We loved every minute of our trip and are already planning our next stay. Thank you, Cheryl for making this our 'home away from home'.

THIS HOUSE WAS AMAZING!! It had anything and everything we needed right down to maps, coupons, and area restaurants' menus! This was going to be our last BIG family vacay since we have high schoolers graduating, but we are booking again for next year! We are huge Milwaukee Brewer fans and came out for Spring Training. When we got to the house we walked in to see a fantastic welcome basket Cheryl had left. It was complete with Spring Training baseballs for all the kids and sharpie marker for autographs!! Every correspondence between Cheryl and I put a smile on my face. She was so genuine in wanting to make our vacation the best ever. And it was!!!! Thank you Cheryl for everything!!!!!!!!!!!!

NASCAR weekend made better with rental home

We rented this home for a place to stay during our visit to Phoenix for the NASCAR race in spring. It was very close to the track (although traffic revisions made us go the long way around), and provided a great place to recoup after the day's festivities. The house was just as it was stated in the ad. The beds were very comfortable and it had all the amenities that we needed to hang out there when not at the track. I especially thought that the hand written note and the gift basket waiting for us upon our arrival was a very nice touch. It showed a clear attention to detail and made us feel like we weren' just another guest in a hotel renting the room for that day. If I had to state one thing that I was least pleased with, it would have been the sharpness of the knifes. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils needed to prepare every meal at home, and we took full advantage of that. (We also saved quite a lot of many going this way as well.) But the knives left a little to be desired being the cook that I am. I look forward to our return visit in November for the next NASCAR event in Phoenix and will definetly be calling back on this rental.

Owner response:Immediately after these guests checked out a knife sharpner was put in the kitchen drawer. There are a variety of steak and carving knives, including a ginsu knife, as part of your home-away-from-home cutlery collection. Glad to hear that everything else was great.

We have rented many vacation rentals and this was one of the best decorated we have stayed in, the king bed in the master was very comfortable. We enjoyed the yard, patio, washer and drier and rode the bikes around to explore the neighborhood most every day. The home is very well equiped and we enjoyed the gas grill for that dining option. Shopping and restaurants are conveniently close by. Cheryl was very pleasant and professional to deal with and we will rent here again if in the Az. area and if the home is available. We have stayed in many VRBO houses. This was the best yet. Cheryl thinks of everything, even down to Christmas gifts under the tree! The guest info book and restaurant suggestions were very helpful. All of the utensils and supplies encouraged us to make several meals, including shiskabobs on the grill. The discount tag that came with the keys saved us a lot at the local Fry's grocery store. A classy lady and a classy place!

Where do I start, from the first call to Cheryl she was wonderful to work with. Very accommodating, understanding and easy to get a hold of. Once we arrived everything was perfect just like the pictures and description. The house had everything you would ever need, close to shopping and restaurants. We went to the Nascar races and the house was about 6 miles from the track, traffic was a breeze in and out could not ask for anything better. Great home in Avondale. Close to the freeway, really quite, nice neighborhood (got to meet people while out trick-or-treating on Halloween). The layout of the home was very inviting and the backyard was perfect for hanging out at the pool and BBQ nights. Owners had organized, detailed information on just about everything you would need. Awesome place and will definitely be going back!!!

This property truly meets the definition of "home away from home". The house has everything that you need and more! The house is extremely clean and equipped with all the essentials to prepare meals, entertain a few guests or just simply relax in the beautiful pool and back yard. My family was so comfortable in this home. Cheryl has equipped it so that you want for nothing while you are there.......from washing machine detergent and dryer sheets to golf clubs for the neighboring course and floats for the pool! I was so impressed with the details and the great decorating that she has done in the home, especially considering this is a vacation rental! Cheryl, we will be talking about our fantastic visit for a long time to come. Your beautiful home made it easy for us to concentrate on the wedding and visiting with family. Summer Fun!

We were teased a little about heading to Phoenix during the hottest time of the year, but it proved to be a terrific decision; this house was a big part of what made it so great. My husband and I were seeking someplace to hang out and enjoy with our two teenage kids. Having a private pool was just the ticket. We spent a lot of time in the back yard. The photos on the site do not do it justice! There are umbrellas for shade, a pool volleyball set, a mister on the patio, and nice landscaping. The inside was lovely and VERY comfortable. The beds were amazing...so comfortable! It was nice having spaces in the master bedroom for lounging. We've rented several places and this tops them all in terms of having everything you might possibly need. It was nice to have the computer available. Enjoyed the bikes. The owner is more than accommodating, always available, responsive, and friendly. The neighborhood is a little bit of a drive to some of the things we did, but Phoenix is a big place! Really enjoyed Wet 'n Wild water park; great way to beat the heat. We would recommend this house to anyone. These summer rates are unbeatable and a real value for what you get!

Beautiful home in Avondale!

Our family stayed in this amazing home July 2010. We were in Phoenix to attend our son's graduation from Universal Technical Institute. The house was conveniently located to the school, as well as being less than two miles from our son's rental house. We felt very "welcomed" with the darling welcome basket, and quickly felt right at home. Super comfortable, yet beautiful home! We really enjoyed cooking and grilling, especially since Cheryl has done an excellent job of supplying the home with all of the essentials, right down to the spices! My husband really enjoyed the misters while grilling. The bikes really came in handy, as we biked back and forth to our son's house a few times. The designated bike lanes in the area were really appreciated. The beds were very confortable (loved the linens, too). We will definitely recommend this house to our friends and hopefully will be able to return soon, ourselves!

Thank you so much for the use of your lovely home. We enjoyed our stay very much. We have rented cabins in Ruidoso several times and loved them, but they didn't hold a candle to the porperty in Avondale. We also rented a condo in South Padre Islands and they didn't supply much of anything. The owners of the Avondale home supplied everything we needed and more. The beds were so comfortable, the decor was beautiful and the swimming pool was an awesome treat. We highley recommend this wonderful vacation home to anyone.

Amazing Home

My friend Kelly and I where looking for a quiet get away and this home was exactly what we where looking for! As soon as we arrived there was a gift basket waiting for us with snacks and small gifts which just made us feel right at home. The house is in wonderful shape as well as all the furniture. I was surprised at how many amenities the home had. Not just the every day appliances that we all enjoy like the refrigerator and dishwasher but there where toiletries in the bathrooms, sunscreen and aloe vera, and toys for the pool. Not to mention I have never slept on a more comfortable bed. The location was also wonderful. We where off the main road so there was almost no road noise at all. But we where only 5-15 minutes away from restaurants, grocery stores, department stores and even the movie theater. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend the home to any of my fiends and family.

A much needed, relaxing weekend!

My girlfriends and I went to this awesome home for the weekend the last 4 days, and we did Not want to leave! We had so much fun floating on the pool toys, tanning and bbq'ing, and riding the bikes. We must have used the bikes 4 different times cruising the golf course, the trails behind the clean community, and we even rode to Panda Express down the street. The weather was perfect, and we were located close to Phoenix where we went out on Friday night. The super Walmart on the way in down the street provided all the food we needed for the weekend, but we still managed to end up at the Whataburger a couple blocks away and enjoyed reading the funny menu over and over. This house is in a great location, is perfect for families and friends, and overall just a great place to get away and vacation!!! We'll be back SOON!

We came to Arizona for an adult college graduation (at the Chase stadium in downtown Pheonix) We were going to stay at a hotel but we had four adults and wanted to stay for a week so we needed room to spread out. I found this house on Home Away. com and it was one of my top three choices. The reviews and the owner Cheryl, made this property my final choice. Cheryl was helpful and almost planned our whole trip for us including site seeing excursions. The house was perfectly located to enjoy all of Arizona in day trips. The amenities that the town Avondale offer are fantastic but the main attraction is the home. We could have stayed in the house for the full week and have enjoyed ourselves. The house is impeccable and the backyard is an oasis.The pictures are beautiful on the internet but the house took our breath away when we entered. We had every convience of home anything you can possibly need is provided. I was so relieved and proud to bring my family to this home just wish we could have stayed longer. We may go back just to stay at the house!

My family, along with 3 family friends, just spent a week at the house and we were all extremely happy we chose it. Three girls under 12 thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the big couch in the living room. House was very clean and neat, full of little extras we didn't need to run out and purchase. We used the outdoor grill almost every night, sat on the porch afterward. After a trip to the Grand Canyon, the 5 ladies enjoyed a horseback ride just 30 minutes from the house. We even had a nightly visit from an ice cream truck. There's several markets and stores within 10 minutes of the house, but the neighborhood is very quiet. We all were very happy to have picked this house for our April vacation and I think the odds are very good we will be back!

Home was everything advertized and more.We booked 2011 within hours of our arrival! Large rooms, well kepted.Fantasic back yard. What a change from a Wisconsin winter. We attended 13 baseball games, but still found time to travel to Grand Canyon, where our oldest son became engaged, as well as Oragan Pipe Cactus Nat'l Monument. Our plans called for most meals to be at home (except lunch at ball parks) Kitchen had all necessary tools.. This is our fourth trip to Arizonia and we love it. Avondale is close to our needs..

The last 9 years we rented a condo for a month, but that sure did not compare to our stay in Cheryl's home in Phoenix. Anything we needed or could possibly have wanted was supplied in this home. It was so clean and well kept. The owner "Cheryl" always was extremely nice and was very accommodating anytime we called her or had any questions. We enjoyed the Cincinnati Reds spring training and some of their games. We also did other sightseeing trips, such as the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Also we had friends and family stay with us part of the time and they also enjoyed the home very much. What a wonderful vacation home we would recommend it to anyone.

Our stay in the Arizona House made us a home away for our 47th wedding anniversary! The home has absolutely everything, even the duct tape... and many, many suggestions, and helpful hints. We have been in many condos in the US and even some foreign countries because of a timeshare trade. However, this became our "home" for these 10 days. Perhaps, Streets & Trips software(Microsoft) would be nice on the computer --yes, even a computer--may be a great help; I had it on my laptop and it is so good. We even went to the Civic Center Avondale Library and printed our boarding passes --day pass and print--only $2! If we can come back soon to "warm up," we will. Exquisite

This great home-away-from-home offers a Computer with basic Microsoft Office programs and features and FREE internet access. MapQuest and Google Maps are easily accessed on the internet. No printer currently. It is a good idea for guests to bring their lap top along if they have specific programs they already know and use. There is also FREE secure wireless Internet access for our guests' lap tops.

A Wonderful Home away from Home

It's been a wet, cold winter in Virginia so we were glad to be able to mix business with pleasure for a week in Phoenix at the end of January. Our adult son flew down from Washington state to review a vocational school with us and we were able to relax and explore a little. Rather than the hassles, noise, and crowds of a hotel, we chose to rent a home for the week and we are really happy with that decision. The home was beautiful, tastefully furnished, and had a variety of extra amenities. It is conveniently located, quiet, private, and extremely comfortable. As a matter of fact, it was a little too comfortable because thanks to the wonderful experience we had there (combined with 3+ feet of snow greeting us a few days after we got back to Virginia) we are now seriously talking about moving back to Arizona and are actively looking to purchase a home in the same neighborhood where this rental home is located. The computer and wireless internet allowed me to do my business easily and comfortably. We enjoyed a few of the movies available at the house and also rented a couple of others from the Red Box down the street. Janet enjoyed the soaker-tub and we followed suggestions in the activity guide, going hiking in Estrella Park. We had a great time. The house was wonderful, and Cheryl was incredibly gracious and accommodating over the phone. Plus I think our deposit refund beat us back to Virginia! That was nice. A wonderful Home Away from Home. We highly recommend it.

We were welcomed with a New Years Eve themed basket & card when we arrived - nice touch! The home was VERY clean which is very important; and a well manicured yard. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and at home. The location of this home is great; close to Cardinal Stadium and groceries and of course Coldwater Golf Course! The beds were 10+ for comfort! Even the kids slept soundly which doesn't always happen in a different setting. The cupboards were stocked with spices, oils, everything thing you need for that special meal. There is a computer with internet access which was fabulous for finding golf courses & map quest. We would recommend Cheryl's home to our friends and family and hope to stay again real soon! Our Christmas reunion in Cheryl's vacation home

Our family, our daughter and husband plus their son and daughter, all from Maryland and our son and wife and their son from from California gathered together at Cheryl's house to spend Christmas with our grandson stationed at Luke AFB. We were suprised to find that the house was completely decorated with all the trimmings for the Christmas season. The house was completely furnished with all the ammenities a person could want. It provided a place where we could all gather together and share family relationships under one roof. Everyone was extremely pleased with the house and the arrangements. The location was perfect for our activities, a quiet neighbor hood and convient access to major roads to any place in the valley. We enjoyed a complete Christmas meal serving all of us with turkey,ham and all the trimmings. We also enjoyed the fresh grapefruit from the tree in the back yard. Overall it was a very fulfilling experience in excellant quarters. We highly recommend Cheryl's house as an excellant place to come and enjoy the Pheonix area! We stayed from Nov 21 - Nov 28, 2009. Temps were 75 - 80 degrees throughout the week. We couldn't use the pool (water temp was 55), but soaked up the sun on the pool deck. We have a daughter that teaches in Avondale and our "home-away-from-home" was only minutes from her school and her house. We found the neighborhood to be quiet and felt safe walking throughout the neighborhood and to the nearby golf course (we didn't play). Shopping and restaurants were convenient (we love In & Out and the Paradise Cafe & Bakery - cookies to die for). The house was FANTASTIC! Five stars! I can't think of a single thing that wasn't provided. We felt so at home and would stay here again without a second thought. Sue's parents were with us and our daughter and friends were able to visit often. Cheryl is a terrific communicator, answering our questions before we were able to ask. If you're going to visit the Phoenix area, give this "home-away-from-home" some serious consideration. You won't be disappointed.

About the pool...I'm glad you were able to soak up the sun pool-side (and hopefully you enjoyed some morning coffee or evening drinks by the pool). I'm sorry you were unable to swim this time of year. We advise all guests ahead of time that the pool is unheated. The best time to visit and get full use of the pool is from May through September. So, come on back to your new "home-away-from-home" and check out the pool this summer. You're sure to enjoy it! And, maybe play some golf next time? There are mens and womens golf clubs in the garage for your use.

We had the pleasure of staying at Cheryl's rental property during our recent visit to Phoenix to attend the Nascar race. You couldn't ask for a better location. Upon arrival, there was a beautiful welcome basket, complete with four Nascar mugs for all us! What a great touch. Cheryl also provided lots of information about the area and tourist attractions. Just wish our stay was a little longer to take in the sites. All in all, the property was well maintained with no detail left out if you forget something from home. We had a wonderful week in this home away from home. The house and grounds are well maintained and show pride of ownership. The owners were great, thought of everything you could possibly need, handled the rental details professionally and were prompt in refunding the damage deposit. The backyard was very private and perfect for relaxing by the cool (unheated) pool all day long. We appreciated all the "extras" that came with the house, especially the Welcome Basket, the lotions, the seasoning in the kitchen, and the computer for looking up directions and emailing our family. We stayed at this house for a week the first week of September and it was amazing. There is everything you could possibly need in this house and the pool was also very nice with the 119 degree heat. Very refreshing. Can't wait to stay there again. Certainly beats any hotel!

After staying in such a wonderfully comfortable home for our vacation I will never want to stay in a hotel again! The house was stocked with everything you could ever need on vacation. The location was perfect for us as we were there for the Nascar Race Weekend, golfing, shopping, and sight seeing. You couldn't ask for a better way to start the day than coffee by the pool. The whole experience was stress free from booking the house to the instructions of arrival and departure. Thank you just doesn't seem like enough to say to Cheryl and Larry for allowing us to stay in their beautiful Arizona home. When we entered the well kept home, the first thing the kids saw was the welcome basket with the REESES Eggs, how did you guess that those are their all time favorite!!! We had a wonderful time relaxing, sightseeing, and playing in the pool. We found that the house was very centrally located for all the things we planned to do. The driving was easy and it was wonderful that we could look directions up on the computer. You have definitley thought of everything to make your guests stay more enjoyable. We loved this property, it's so clean, comfortable and the beds are wonderful. Dealing with the owners and property manager were very positive and they went above and beyond to make our visit wonderful. So many amenities, right down to a mending kit, everything was thought of to make our stay a memorable one. We were there for a month and enjoyed every minute. The community is safe and quiet, convenient to the highways and many attractions. We hope to visit again.
