Comfort, enjoyment 2400 Sq. Ft. cottage nestled under the Giant Hemlocks. Stroll through the stillness of the forest, pass the hours by in comfy patio furnishings or visit Fort Mountain State Park within 5 minutes which offers hiking to the overlook & old fort, fishing, swimming at the white sandy beach,paddle boats & canoes,putt-putt, bicycling or camping and hours of wild life viewing from walking trails. Bicycling is a common event on the mountain as well. Don't forget all your sports events may be viewed on 52" BIG SCREEN too or use the convenience of Broadband/ Wireless interent. Plan a barbeque on our big gas grill or enjoy smores & marshmellows by the fire pit. The best horseback riding in the state is only minutes away as the guide takes you through amazing scenery, through the mountain streams and up into the lush green trails of the forest- very worthwhile.
Professionally decorated two level ranch home accommodates a large group or is cozy enough for a couple on the walk in level. Don't judge this book by it's cover as it is a very spacious home-looks like a cottage from the front but bigger than it appears with large rooms. Bedrooms include 1 King master with private bath, one guest Queen with hallway bath Lower level has a second guest queen , another King, a twin & full with access to hall bath. If additional bedding is needed for kids just let us know and we will be glad to accommodate you. Gather around the old wood stove "gas" heater, play air in the game room or simply sleep under hypo-allergenic down comforters until your heart is content. Of course, don't forget the hot tub outdoors to sooth away your troubles or the majesty of the Mountain Forest. Umbrella table on the deck with extra chairs gives you a view into the woods and the small lake behind the cottage. Large gas grill for cookouts. Camp fire wring available for marshmallow roast - bring your logs or get limbs from the woods.
Remodeled completely with granite countertops, wood floors and ceilings, designer colors and very comfortable furnishings as well as upgraded bedding you can't find another home at this price anywhere with the quality we offer. Every one who visits has raved about the charm, atmosphere and comfort of our special get-away!

( Cheese Cake Factory Brand goodies and home made everything in the Deli- local artisans and more)( Offers special occasion family meals upon reservation).
You can bring your little K-9 buddy (small doggies only)and there is an additional non-refundable cleaning fee as we do extra indepth cleaning after a pet visit to accommodate the next guests.

Why the Owner Chose Chatsworth
Very easy to get to as well as other attractions on either side of Fort Mountain. Fort Mountain State Park is only 2 miles away and has a spring fed mountain lake with a beach, paddle boats, canoes, minigolf concessions, hiking to spectacular overlook where you can see for 50 miles.

The property is beautiful, the national forest is adventuresome, the neighborhood is quiet, the house is totally comfortable and well appointed, the spa is a delight and friends or family just love coming. What else is there?
Owner's Map of Chatsworth
We simply love the water and the mountains. So hard to choose so we decided to purchase a home that has both. There is a small lake behind our house for viewing and it is so tranquil and relaxing to sit on the deck and enjoy the quiet. Then if we want a bigger lake we just jump in the car and in 5 minutes we can enjoy paddle boating, swimming at the beach with a picnic, or fishing. Just doesn't get any better! We love the ocean also - just too hard to choose!
