Golf Home 17, located directly behind the 7th Tee of Black Butte Ranch's Big Meadow championship course has been our vacation paradise for 21 years. Prior to this, our family rented this wonderful place every summer for 10 years.
We've never wanted to stay anywhere else on the Ranch! It has been a labor of love and we keep it in immaculate condition.
Furnishings are eclectic with a mix of modern, traditional and antique. Single level floor plan is 1,800 sq. ft., plus double garage. There are three excellent Queen sized beds, two twins and a trundle bed.
While we and many others have enjoyed superb family holiday experiences, we have found that golfing people consider our home their ideal choice during all parts of the extended golfing season. The deck and living room windows offer an unmatched view of every drive off the tee of this course's longest hole, dog leg left.
Located on Fiddleneck Lane, our quiet location is within an easy bike ride of two swimming pools, the main Lodge, canoeing, Recreation Barn (and climbing wall in summer), tennis courts, ball field, Restaurants, Big Meadow Club House and the driving range. In winter, one can often cross country ski right from our door and Hoodoo Ski Area is less than 15 miles away.
We have mountain views of Three Fingered Jack, Mt Jefferson and Black Butte.

I am a retired manufacturing and research chemist and manager.
In retirement I refurbish/repair bicycles for my church project "Bikes for Kids"; my wife and I both are Hospice volunteers and active in Scottish Terrier Rescue Northwest.
My wife is a semi-retired marriage and family therapist.
Why the Owner Chose Black Butte Ranch
We rented this house for 10 years of family vacations and purchased it from the owners when they decided to sell over 20 years ago. Black Butte Ranch is in a world class location with countless recreational opportunities. We knew this would be a good investment, and it is.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We continue to enjoy entertaining family and friends, but we must admit that most of our time here is spent keeping the house in top condition; it has truly been a labor of love. We like to watch the golfers, we walk, bike, swim and play tennis. We have used our house as a base of operations for extensive hiking, backpacking and climbing in the Three Sisters and Mt Jefferson Wilderness areas. My wife loves the nationally acclaimed Sisters Quilt Show in July and my grandsons and I love the annual Sisters Rodeo in June.

We had the best time. Great for family reunions. Lots of space and the back room was perfect for the kids to play while the adults relaxed on the back deck watching the golfers... just watch out for the 9:15pm golf course sprinklers... we tried to get the kids wet, but they were too smart for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful memories!!!

We just got back from a wonderful week at your house. It was very spacious and we loved that the kids room was so big and just far enough away from the adults! We spent every morning and evening on the deck watching the golfers tee off! What a remarkable experience! Everything was just perfect. We had a great stay this winter. It was the perfect size - we had 2 families (4 adults, 3 kids). The family room was great for the kids - it's at the end of the hall so the kids could get to sleep early without us waking them up, and they really enjoyed the space, toys, and games. Note, there are 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, the family room with 3 twin beds, and a third queen bed is in an alcove off of the living room, with a sliding screen between it and the living room. That's not very clear from the house description, but the setup worked just great for us. The house is very well maintained, well stocked, and clean. It's not fancy - but for us that was part of the appeal. It's a place you can be comfortable in. It's on a very quiet street and the views of the snow-covered golf course were lovely. The golf tee behind the house made a perfect sledding hill. All in all, we had a wonderful time.
Owner response:We really appreciated this response. As to the house description, it was right on. What this reviewer calls "Family Room", we call "Bunk Room". It serves both purposes. The "Alcove Bedroom", we call the third bedroom and its accordian doorway is visible in the background of the photo of the main living room. It best fits the persons who are the earliest risers and want to put on the coffee, warm up the living room, light the fireplace, take a walk or just enjoy the morning quiet. All the queen beds are equal.
