We had a marvelous time! As my son stated, "this place feels like home." The information provided about it was completely accurate. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were lovely and clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The living space was perfect for our group of adults and kids and it provided perfect opportunities for lounging, napping, playing board games, and puzzles all simultaneously. The extensive DVD movie selections were a total bonus. The grounds were lovely, the hot tub warm and cozy and clean, and the process of making arrangements was so easy. Everything you could possibly want or need is there from a garlic press to cozy bath towels to tennis rackets. We absolutely loved it and look forward to our next visit.

This place has everything you need to have a blast no matter what the snow conditions (we did bring our own skiis and snowshoes of course). All the finishes are top notch and the beds were all very comfortable. The owners thought of a lot of small touches that really make things easy like lots of extra plates for the kitchen and towels for the hot-tub and bathrooms. I would reccomend this property to any of my friends and family who like the mountains...

We found this Mt, Baker getaway to be extremely well appointed and cozy, The power went out the first evening but it didn't matter, There were lots of flashlights around so we played games and had a great time. We would definately stay here again. Thanks for making Shuksan such an enjoyable place to stay.

What a nice cabin this was to stay in! The Christmas decorations were a very nice surprise and much appreciated! Even though the conditions at the mountain were less than ideal, we found plenty to do including sledding, eating at the local restaurants and hanging around the cabin. We will be back! Perfect! Beautiful home, beautiful surroundings! Jane, the décor is beautiful. I love the autumn touches. The detail is wonderful. 5 Star property. We will be sure to share our experience with many of our friends! Our only downfall is that our trip was too short (even though we were here for 4 days)! We drove up the Glacier Creek Road and loved the trip and the views. The pool table was a huge bonus! You have stocked your home with everything that we needed and then some. You have thought of everything! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We absolutely loved every part of it.

It was a dream for us to live in this wonderful cabin, all of us, eight in total, appreciated your facilities. The kids enjoyed so much the house that they didn’t want to hike with us in the so beautiful Mt. Baker trails. We come from France and will do it again for sure.

Just wanted you to know we had a wonderful stay at your cabin. It is lovely and had everything one could need. Our 3 yr. old grandson loved all the movie selections, the hot tub and the bunk bed. The pool area is so nice with so many things to do for a family and you are so gracious to have the things to take to play with like the bocce ball, fishing pole etc. What a great place!! Thank you again and hope we can rent again down the road when we come out to visit our son and family in Seattle.

I really like staying at our cabin. I like to bike ride on all the roads. I like the cozy beds at night. I like swimming in the pool. At night it’s really, really dark. The campfires at night are fun because I get to roast marshmallows. I also like the hot tub because the jets feel good on my back. I hope I can come back here many times with my family, aunts & uncles, cousins and friends. Jordan, age 6.

Amazing Time

We enjoyed a great few days at the Shuksan during the end of the ski season, and had a fantastic time together as a family. An easy drive from Vancouver, we arrived at night to find the cabin bathed in gorgeous lights set on a quiet cul-de-sac in the forest. My wife smiled, a relief for me because you never know! We walked in to find my sister-in-law already in full vacation mode relaxing in the awesome hot tub with one of my nephews. A great start to the vacation I thought to myself. Within minutes we were all in full vacation mode, far away from the stress of our careers, and fully enjoying the gorgeous cabin, comfortable furniture I'd love to have in my own home (not your typically "rental seconds" furnishings you find in most places), amazing fireplace, and great jazz music over the built in speakers (bring your Ipod!). The Shuksan is absolutely perfect for large families like ours, but would also make for a great getaway for 2-3 couples as well. If you want to enjoy the woods in-style, the Shuksan is your best choice. Also, thanks for the great tips on where to shop and eat. We managed to catch the Canucks game a short walk away at Chair 9, and at the same time, discovered what I now consider to be the best pizza I've ever eaten! Amazing ... We'll definitely be back, and will not hestitate to spread the word to all our friends and colleagues about this hidden gem in the woods, The Shuksan. Thanks.

We enjoyed a great few days at the Shuksan during the end of the ski season, and had a fantastic time together as a family. Cousins Weekend #13. Great house, great snow conditions with 4 feet new in the 5 days leading up to our visit. Snowed again up on Mt. Baker while we skied. Loved Glacier. The Italian restaurante and Graham’s were both terrific food. Would love to visit again.

Such a pleasure staying at The Shuksan. The homeyness was wonderful. Our families were able to sit back and relax in the hot tub, playing games and on the slopes. One word – WOW! Our trip would not have been as wonderful without the Shuksan Lodge. From the beautiful décor to the warm and relaxing hot tub, it was great to unwind from a vigorous day of snowboarding at Mt. Baker. We just loved the Shuksan Lodge.

We’ve been coming to Snowline several years now and this is our best rental yet! It’s perfectly comfortable for our teenage boy and three girls. Five other families have also rented in Snowline over the years and loved the Saturday potluck at Shuksan the best! We relaxed with appetizers and wine under the covered area while our son got the campfire ready for s’mores. The hot tub has been wonderful after hikes – yesterday Skyline Divide and today half the family went to Heliotrope and down to the glacier, while the other half went around Chain Lakes. We want to come back in the winter and go skiing. Love it here!

Six of us had a wonderful long weekend in the beautiful Mt. Baker area. The house was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the sound system, the back patio and hot tub, and the movies. We hiked the little trails around Artist Point and Chain Lakes one day. The next day some of us hiked Heliotrope Ridge with the spectacular glacier and amazing wildflower filled meadows. Others relaxed around the pool all day. A beautiful place. Thanks.

Thanks for the use of your cabin. Everything was excellent and we truly enjoyed our stay. Wish we could stay longer. We hiked and played in the snow on Mt. Baker, went to Nooksack Falls and hiked around the various trails that were close to the cabin.

Your cabin is amazing! The six of us (and one 8 month old baby boy) could not have asked for a nicer place. We made use of the fire pit, the hot tub, the fire and the pool table. The décor is so cute and cozy. The trails right outside made for great hiking and snowshoeing further up the forest service roads. We will be back without a doubt!

This is our second time staying at the Shuksan and it will not be our last. We love the stillness and serenity of the surroundings, and the house makes for a cozy retreat from the wear and tear of the city. Eight Icelanders came here to snowboard at Mt. Baker. The cabin was excellent, the cherry on top of the journey. We really lucked out and got six amazing days at the mountain … Pow we’re talkin’! At the end we felt at home with the locals down at Graham’s. We tried hard to see Bigfoot but unfortunately didn’t. Maybe we’ll come back to pay him a visit!
