From our 9-year-old son Nicolas: 'Visit Rio Nido by Guerneville, California. Rio Nido is a quiet village right near the Russian River. It is filled with beautiful hills and towering redwood trees. There are also a lot of events and get-togethers with everyone in Rio Nido, such as community barbecues, pancake breakfasts, and marshmallow roasts. Another good thing is that a pool is nearby and so is the River, so you can take a swim in either one of them. So if you need a vacation, try Rio Nido!'
From parents and friends: 'A wonderful getaway in a unique area, laden with history and personality, yet supremely quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature. This place has it all: you can go hiking, biking, swimming, canoeing, or sit back, relax, and enjoy the serenity of the majestic redwood trees.' A nice vacation rental on the Russian River.
The house features 3 bedrooms and their own separate full bathrooms, a private hot tub and deck at the back of the house, a main deck at the front, water-based radiant heating system in every room, and a wood-pellet stove in the living room. The house features Cable TV, high-speed Internet access via Cable with wi-fi, and a propane BBQ grill.
A few blocks away from Russian river access; 1.5 miles from Armstrong Woods/Austin Creek state parks; close to major wineries; down the road from community area with miniature golf, private swimming pool, and games area with night-time entertainment for families; 20-minute drive to Pacific Ocean and Sonoma County beaches. Perfect location for a vacation home!
Sleeps 6 (including all children age 3 and over) in 3 queen-size beds. The maximum daytime occupancy is 12. Off-street parking for 3 vehicles. One well-behaved dog not exceeding 40 pounds permitted; no cats. No smoking.

My husband and I booked Peaceful Paradise for a weekend getaway with friends and it exceeded our expectations. The house is beautiful, and each room having its own bathroom made for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen is spacious and fully stocked, the view in the living room is gorgeous with so much natural light, and the surrounding area was indeed very peaceful. From the house it was an easy 10 minute drive to Johnson's Beach and about 15-20 minutes to get to Monte Rio Beach (which was lovely!) and rented kayaks for the day. We took a short walk to Rio Nido Roadhouse, stepped into the Mini Golf park a few blocks from the house, and played some lawn games next to the community garden and playground. We had a 2 year old with us who very much enjoyed it all. We will definitely be back.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Our family had a wonderful time staying at Peaceful Paradise. The house is set up perfectly for multiple couples - every bedroom has it's own bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked, we had everything we needed to cook our Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners. The large windows in the living area let you stay connected to the towering red woods that surround you.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I'm always tend to worry if a property is going to meet the expectations as advertised. All 6 of group agreed that Peaceful Paradise exceeded expectations. The pictures are very accurate. It has a large open space perfect for gathering with friends. The kitchen is large and easy to work in. The bedrooms are all basically identical - queen bed and a bath. It was an exceptionally quiet place. The neighborhood is a bit eclectic and the house next door has a tarp on the roof - - didn't bother us, but I just want to give a clear appraisal. I would recommend that guests not use the drive at all. It is very short and steep - most cars will scrape. It is easier to park across the street and walk up the short flight of steps. The hot tub worked great and really hit the spot after a day of hiking and wine tasting. The redwood tree just outside the back door is amazing. We could easily walk to the local pub and it had good food and drinks. Nearby there is the Armstrong Redwoods Park. I would encourage any guests to visit this park. It is awesome. The grocery store is nearby and Korbel Cellars are just around the curve. I really appreciated the communication from the property management company, They were very helpful and efficient. I would highly recommend Peaceful Paradise.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This was a great house for a weekend getaway for my boyfriend and I, and two other couples. Three bedrooms with three full bathrooms in a very quiet, tranquil neighborhood was the perfect place for three couples to share. Clean, well stocked kitchen, nice BBQ, and a decent (portable) hot tub all were enjoyed. Beware of the very steep driveway or you can bottom out your car at the bottom (like we did). The directions sent from the Property Mgr were spot on, I think photo's posted here give you an accurate idea of the appearance of the house and the property is clean and well maintained. We hope to be back next year.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Three sisters and their husbands arrived at Peaceful Paradise from Denver Colorado, Washington DC and Monterey California for a long-anticipated reunion. We had high hopes for Peaceful Paradise from the photos online, but reality took our breath away. A beautiful house, and the setting--oh, the setting! Set among towering redwoods, tucked back against a hill. Charming inside and out. It was perfect for our group--three bedrooms and and three bathrooms, a big living room and kitchen with a table that accommodated us all. The TV never went on, the hot tub went unused--this reunion was for visiting. The house lives up to its name. We'll be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, girls getaway.
