Our very private top floor condo is not a courtyard unit so we have no building blocking our spectacular view. Ask websites if their view photos are from the actual condo unit and if the condo is actually on exclusive main Kaanapali Beach , NOT just the golf course or North Kaanapali Beach. Ours is, but many are not.
Furnished with a tastefully designed, updated Island/Asian decor, we've been told that you can have a wonderful vacation without even leaving the condo. The view is that breath taking.
Electronics include 2 TVs(one 37" flatscreen), 2 DVDs, 2 VCRs, HBO & stereo CD system & wired in IPOD dock (non charging). Drawer with some CDs, DVDs,& VHS tapes. Free wireless internet.
Just step outside to the pool and the heart of world famous Kaanapali Beach. Cross the tree-lined parkway at the back to golf. Or walk next door to Whalers village for shopping and restaurants. Why the Owner Chose The Whaler
We chose our particular condo unit because of the incredible sweeping view. We love the privacy of the 12th floor tower 1 north side. The ocean view from our lanai, living room and bedroom is unobstructed by other buildings. You are NOT looking right our into another hotel or condo. Ultimate privacy because, unlike most units, it's not possible for people in other buildings to look into our condo.
We chose The Whaler for its prime location on Kaanapali Beach. Great snorkeling at famous Black Rock to the right. To the left is great shopping at Whalers Village. Behind us are the two championship Kaanapali golf courses. What more could you ask for?

Tons of construction noise while we stayed there!

Great location in Kaanapali Beach as well as being on the top level towards the back of the building. Also nice to be near the Sheraton where the snorkeling is great. We would have loved this place however our first morning we were awoken at 7:30am b/c of the construction workers on the nearby balconies and atop the roof which was directly above us. They are removing huge concrete planter boxes from all the balconies and they happened to be doing this while we were there. If you don't mind jack hammering, drilling, pounding from early morning until 4 to 5PM then you will be fine. Unfortunately with this constant noise aggravation combined with the nearby remodel noise it was impossible to enjoy even with all windows and doors shut. We ended up leaving early and going elsewhere. We were very dissapointed that the owner did not inform us of this noise and would never want anyone else to experience this. Especially if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The owner was aware of the nearby remodel as she indicated this to me on the phone once there. Also, there is a sign on the balcony sliding glass door mentioning the work hours (although they began considerably earlier) of the construction for the removal of the concrete planter boxes. We are not quite sure why she did not inform us prior to us booking this place of these two important factors as we would have never subjected ourselves to this constant disturbance.

Hi Nancy! I don't know if you ever get tired of hearing this but.......WOW!!!! We're sitting on the couch, me on the computer, Jim playing his guitar, the Today show on the TV. It's just like home, EXCEPT FOR THE VIEW!!!! The pictures on the website don't do it justice. Black Rock is much closer in person. The ocean, the beaches, the golf courses, the mountains, WOW, I don't want to leave the condo! You have the most comfortable bed that we have ever slept in, including some of the best hotels. We're definitely going to invest in one of those memory foam pads. The weather is perfect. We watched the cliff diver last night from your balcony and then walked down to the beach to see the sunset. We ate at the Hula Grill, a two minute walk, yesterday afternoon and it is excellent. We dug our feet into the sand and listened to the guitar player and had our first Mai Tai. This is the best beach in Maui for swimming. The water is so blue and clear and safe. We will swim everyday and snorkel at Black Rock, all right outside our door. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We could not have had a better time staying at this wonderful condo~ it is on one of the best beaches in Maui, walking distance to shops, restaurants, golf, and more, and has the most amazing view for picture perfect sunsets! The unit itself is immaculately maintained, comfortable, and updated. Our stay at the Whaler was so great, we ended up engaged before we returned home!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This condo is in the most beautiful place on earth, truly a piece of heaven. The unit is spacious, and beautifully decorated, anyone staying there will not want to leave!! Hopefully, we will be able to return soon.

My fiance and I felt like we were on our pre-honeymoon here. We enjoyed walking to some great snorkeling and SCUBA diving with the turtles! I also appreciated that we were steps away from great restaraunts and shops. We loved exploring during the day and then relaxing in the comfortable and stylish condo at night. We are alreading planning on booking another trip with Nancy. :)

Great vacation condo on Kaanapali Beach. VERY CLEAN!!! Gigantic lanai overlooking the beach with a fantastic view. Workout facilities and suana. Next to Whalers Village which has great shopping and restaurants. Great place to relax.
