This cabin built with native stone blends perfectly with the natural surroundings. The covered flagstone porch offers the best view of the huge scenic cliffs on the other side of the lake.
With a private swimming area, water slide, campfire area, horseshoes, and more, this is the perfect place to relax. The cabin and grounds stay naturally cool during the summer with the abundant shade trees while full sun is available all day on the lake front.
Located in the center of the lake between "Light House Bridge" and "Claytor Lake State Park" you can cruise in your boat for a hot dog, gasoline, or some groceries.
We have ample parking and easy access to the lake. A public park with boat launches is less than one mile away.
This cabin is ideal for a multi-family vacation, a romantic get away, or taking in an event at Virginia Tech or Radford University.

- Air Conditioning : One unit in the upstairs master bedroom. The house stays cool naturally with the abundant shade from lots of trees.

- King Bed : This bed is upstairs on the lake side with no other beds in the room. There is a full bath located between this bedroom and one other bedroom.
- Double Bed (2) : One of the double beds is a "Murphy" that pulls down from a closet. It is on the main level in a bedroom with one twin size bed. There is a full bath adjacent to the bedroom.
- Twin/Single Bed (3) : One twin bed is on the main level in a bedroom with the double "Murphy" bed. Two twins are in an upstairs bedroom with a double size bed.

This was my first time at claytor lake and the cabin. My friend and I went down to visit her sister along with our kids and their cousins totalled 3 - 13 y/o, 2 - 14 y/o, 1 - 16 y/o, 8 y/o and a 2 y/o. Even though not all of the children spent the night at the same time... THIS HOUSE HAD THEM HAPPY AND BUSY. Jumping from the high deck, back flips from the dock, the slide, the ping pong room, the horse shoes.... I can on and on. On our last night there we had a big dinner and every one of them said " best vacation and can we come back next year" as a parent nothing feels better than that. The owners were wonderful people with helpful suggestions. We cant wait to go back. It was a vacation to remember!

We really enjoyed our stay at this Claytor Lake cabin. The owners were so easy to work with and helpful with everything we needed. The location cannot be beat - a nice large lot right on the lake, with spectacular views of the cliffs. It was very peaceful and we felt like we got away from it all, while still having plenty to do. The house has so many different comfortable places to hang out. Even though there were only four of us, it would have been comfortable for a larger family. There were so many amenities that we took advantage of. Right off the dock we swam, used the sliding board, and went fishing. We used the canoe and the kayak. We rented a wave runner and took the kids tubing. We played horseshoes, roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, used the trampoline and played ping pong. We ate dinner out on the porch every night and watched sunset. There were some fun things to do nearby - we saw a Pulaski Mariners game, took the kids for ice cream, and went to the movies one night. Thanks so much for a great vacation. We will definitely be back!!

Really can not overstate the great time I had at Joe's Cabin. All the comforts you would dream a lake cabin to have and more. A deck off the master and a huge deck off the kitchen with ceiling fans. BBQ, two level deck with a opening gate to jump off. Very well equipped kitchen with lots of on hand spices. If the cabin is available rent it, you will regard it as one of the better decisions you have made in your life. Enjoy and get in a good swim for me. I will be back at least once this lifetime - I would be back every year if I didn't live in Portland, Oregon. Thanks again Joe. PS got my full deposit check back about a week after checking out.

This is a wonderful property with fantastic views and great amenities!! The porch is amazing...I could've spent the entire stay just relaxing on the porch. The home is clean and well cared for. The Owner provided ample information with regard to the area, local shopping, restaurants, etc., and was easily reached via email/cell with any questions. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to returning for a longer stay!
