Come and see what sierra country life can be. Enjoy the mountains at their finest, while enjoying our nine year old log cabin. Shaver Lake is centrally located in the central Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. The lake is a large watershed for central California. Boats, jet-skis, and house boats are available for rent at two area boat launch facilities.
Fishing, hunting, hiking and bicycling are common activities for the area. During winter months, 35 miles above Shaver Lake is the Sierra Summit Ski Resort offering skiing and snowboarding. Cross country skiing is also available for the more adventurous. Our cabin is located two miles from the town of Shaver Lake and four miles from the lake itself. It is rural with many hiking trails available.
This unique, Non-Smoking home has all the ambiance one would expect for a rural log cabin. Even the furnishings have been designed to complement the cabin's interior. The master bedroom has a king-size sleigh bed, and comes with extra closet space. The master bath has an oversized corner shower along with his and her sinks.
The second bedroom hosts a queen-size log bed. There is a third bedroom loft above the kitchen with a king bed There is a 700 square foot sleeping loft with trundle beds, two futon couches, a game table and games for the kids. The large kitchen has an eating counter for four, and the dining room table seats six. During the summer months there are picnic tables and lounge chairs on the large spacious front and back decks. The backyard boasts a sled slope during the winter and a horse shoe pit for the summer. Laundry facilities are located off the kitchen in the mud room.
