Casa Milagro = Casa Fabuloso....best family vacation ever

My wife and I decided it was time to take our two children 4 & 3 to the mountains to see what they think of snow and skiing. We really don't like sharing a hotel room with them (we ALL have to go to sleep at 8:00) so we rent vacations homes often. In addition my parents joined us since they like Taos, snow skiing, and grandkids. The entire trip was perfect, and a lot of that I give credit to Casa Milagro and the owner Tim. The home was perfect for us with two bedrooms that have kings and a third bedroom with two additional beds (queen & a twin). It has a great layout, you don't feel on top of each other. Plenty of eating and family space. Well stocked (we brought a bunch of stuff like soap, napkins, salt / pepper since many VR's don't have these, but Casa Milagro has it all - just bring food). My personal favorite of the house is the sun room / porch. It is setup great to sit in, read a book, and soak up sun while the family naps. I really miss that. The location was great for us right between the town and the ski valley. You were away from the lights (great for watching stars), noise, hecticness but close enough still to enjoy whenever you want (you do need a car - just an FYI). Tim was very honest and easy to work with. He was accessible when we had questions, but wasn't intrusive or demanding. If that review isn't glowing enough, just know we have already asked Tim if he has more availibility later this year.

We had a memorable experience on our Christmas stay in Tim's cozy house. Not only it has a stunning views, but also it is comfortable enough to accommodate our group of 9 ppl (6 adults + 3 kids). More importantly, it's located right on the way to Taos Ski Valley, which makes our daily skiing trip fairly easy. We're all happy to dwell in Tim's Casa Miagro and will come back later.

This rental home was very comfortable and we felt like we were home. We would rent it again. It had great mountain, sunset and city views. Also, it is perfect for pets because it had a fenced area to keep the dogs in and a doggie door. We spent a lot of time outside in both the back and front yards and when we were inside we spent it in the wonderful kitchen. I would highly recommend it to families.

The experience with Tim (the owner) was, from the very beginning, above and beyond what anyone could ask for. The amazing photographs don't begin to do the property justice, and the hospitality that was shown by Tim made the stay that much more memorable. Hot tub was clean, hot and ready to go. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in - this coming from a foodie and cooking enthusiast. Everything was just absolutely beyond expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again at any of Tim's properties.
Owner response:Donnie, Thanks for the kind review. You guys were wonderful, ultra- considerate guests. I sincerely hope you will come back and stay at Casa Milagro again (soon). Big congratulations on your wedding engagement! All the Best to you both with the new life adventures that lie ahead. Your new friend, Tim

My husband and I and 3 friends spent the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011 in Taos at Tim's house. We arrived and were blown away. Fire built in the fireplace, ready to go...hot tub steaming in the fenced in yard...incredible views...comfortable beds (2 king beds!) and a totally stocked kitchen. Also the house was very clean and there were bath towels, hot tub towels, extra pillows, etc etc (which I loved! Who wants to share 2 small pillows on a king bed or use your damp hot tub towel after a shower?? Not me!) We felt right at home, and our puppy, Izzie had a great time in this dog-friendly (check with Tim first!) home. There is even a dog door to the fenced in front yard, which was great! Tim was so laid back about everything but also was very attentive to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The location was prime - close to the ski valley and close to both Arroyo Secco and Taos for outings/dinners/shopping/etc. You don't want to miss this place. The photos are good, but hardly do it justice! We had a fabulous time and plan to come back in the fall or summer to enjoy another season in Taos at this property!!
Owner response:Congratulations on your recent marriage and new life together. You guys were wonderful, considerate guests! It is hard work maintaining a quality vacation rental home but reviews like the one you posted above make it all worthwhile. Thanks and come back soon, Tim

A Good Choice

We enjoyed staying in this home and found Tim, the owner, to be extremely helpful and responsive to our needs. The house has a comfortable, intimate feel, yet there is plenty of space to spread out. The gathering place for us (4 adults, 3 children) was the kitchen, which has a large island and plenty of seating. The kitchen comes fully equipped. The home is laid out with split bedrooms, with a nice-sized living room with fireplace, and a sunroom spanning the length of the back side of the house, with banks of windows and sitting areas for viewing the mountains during the day and enjoying the lights of Taos at night. We found the location of this home to be ideal, convenient to both Taos Plaza and the Ski Valley.
Owner response:Thank you for the kind words of review. I am delighted that you and your family enjoyed your stay and hope you will be able to schedule another visit to Taos this year. All the Best, Tim

Perfect Family Christmas!

Our family of 4 plus our pooch stayed at this wonderful house over Christmas and it was the perfect trip! The layout of the house with 3 bedrooms (although we only used 2) was so convenient, it was nice to stay at the opposite end of the house from the kids! Having the completely stocked kitchen made it so nice to stay home and enjoy our time together. We even took our small Christmas tree and stockings to hang by the chimney with care. The hot tub was the perfect place to relax and soothe away Christmas stress. I also can't say enough about how kind and accommodating the owner is. We want to come back again and again to stay. We definitely felt like we were guests in a friend's home, not a sterile hotel or condo.
Owner response:It is so gratifying to be able to provide a place where special family memories are made. I am delighted that you I had a nice Christmas in Taos and appreciate your kind words of reivew.

My family has stayed at this wonderful house in July the last two summers. We all loved it. The three bedrooms meant no one had to sleep on a sofa (which has happened at other houses). The location is perfect - in between Taos and the Ski Valley - and very close to Arroyo Seco and the ice cream at the Taos Cow. Well off the road, it is private and quiet. The view from the back porch must be one of the best in Taos - the vista has to be at least 30 miles. And the house is very dog friendly. The front yard (which also has great views from its patio) is enclosed so we could leave for a couple of hours without worrying about our 11 year old lab. Thanks for another great summer.

Wonderful home to rent, nicely furnished and makes for a very enjoyable stay. The kitchen is nicely equipped for cooking (although we ate out). Views either by day or night from the backyard covered patio are striking and very relaxing. While we were in Taos for sightseeing, this house, which is located north of Taos in El Prado, would make for a great, central location for either skiing in nearby Taos Ski Valley or just seeing Taos at your leisure. Restaurants on the northside of Taos are good and quite convenient. The Owner was very responsive to any request that we had. We'd definitely come again!
