Due to a recent cancellation, we have open dates from Thanksgiving thru mid-December. Our open dates are 11/26/09 - 12/12/09. Their loss is your gain!! The whale season is in full swing and since our condo can sleep 8 comfortably, you can bring the whole family. Due to the short notice, we will also offer you a special rate of $175/night + tax. Normal rates during this time are $230/night + tax.
Welcome to JJ's Maui Dreamin' ..... Imagine watching whales right from the condo, seeing the ocean from every window and having just a 5 minute walk to the soft sugar sand of the beach. On a clear day you see the island of Lanai and every night the sunsets are awesome.
Our end unit condo occupies the top two stories of the building, with a single condo below you. We have walls of windows in every room and the 2 BR + loft condo has just over 1325 square feet of space. You will find that our fully furnished home is well appointed and features California king beds in both bedrooms. There are comfortable queen sized sofa sleepers with 6" mattresses in the loft and living room areas. There are bathrooms with walk in showers on both levels of the condo. We can easily sleep 6-8 people in the condo.
Our unit is fully air conditioned (not just the bedrooms) and all rooms have ceiling and floor fans. We have a full size washer/dryer on the lanai and have provided lots of goodies to make your stay fun and comfortable (i.e. binoculars, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, guide books, etc).
We just added a 50" Sony TV and a new sleeper sofa sectional in the living room (updated pictures coming soon). The condo has the feel of Wailea, but you get South Kihei prices.
We hope our condo will be your home away from home. It's ideal for 2 families, a multi-generation family or a group of friends.

Why the Owner Chose Hale Kamaole
We chose South Kihei as a place to buy because of the wonderful beaches and the high number of whales just offshore during the winter months. Our area has lots of sun and warm weather year round as well. It has rained maybe a half dozen times in Kihei in the year we have lived here.
After visiting Maui 50+ times we finally bought our condo shortly after 9-11 and closed in February of 2002. Maui always felt like home and we finally found a condo that said "BUY ME!!". We love the walls of windows, the size of the unit and the fact that it has vaulted ceilings. We like that we have a wonderful beach and park just across the street. We love how huge the condo is compared to most condos in Maui. Many are 500-700 sq feet, while ours is over 1300 square feet. We love all the space, the views of the ocean and the year round sunsets.

We find Maui is the easiest place to come to and the hardest to leave. In June of 2008 we finally sold our home in Minnesota and we moved to Maui full time. We love being retired and we currently rent long term in a condo complex north of Hale Kamaole.
We love walking the beaches every day and enjoy the mountains, the ocean and how green everything is all year round. We play lots of bridge and John volunteers at the Maui Friends of the Library bookstore once a week. Our hobbies include traveling, snorkeling and reading. Janelle also does stained glass and is looking forward to getting a studio set up sometime next year.
