Spent 7 days. Great view. Great for kids. Right on the beach. Grandparents were in condo right above us...same owner. Tommy Bahama bedding. Nice furniture. Updated. Clean. Kids slept in second bedroom w their own bathroom. Easy access to beach. Swimming pool...my son spent many hours in it...we miss the pool! We miss the beach! We will definitely return to this condo. Kid friendly beach! They snorkeled and saw tons of fish...don't even have to leave this beach...we did not. Kids 8 yo and 5yo. Did the costco run before heading to condo. The resort has a decent market and a rental shop for water sports. we Drove up to Haleakala. Did the Road to Hana. Very nice condo. Easy access to everything for us. you can jog on the beach. jog on the road down to town... very nice.

We spent a lot of time researching the best place for our family to stay on Maui, and after our vacation I can say we definitely hit a home run! What a great place!! With a family of five, hotel rooms/resorts are a little cramped for us. Condo is definitely the way to go. This one had everything we could ask for and more... First of all, the location is very centrally located. You can be anywhere on Maui in about 1 hr. Plenty of grocery stores (Safeway best deal), beach rentals, and restaurants close by. The Beach is one of the longest in Maui-- can walk for miles without leaving the sand! Great snorkling on property, and good boogie boarding as well. The property itself has undergone an extensive renovation over the past year and a half. Amazing modern open air lobby, new pool and waterfall, brand new lawn with all the lounge chairs you could possibly need overlooking the beach. Pictures do not do it justice. If you're going to Maui, I assume you have picked up a copy of "Maui Revealed," the definitive guide to the island. If you go to the restaurant section, it will be headed by a picture of a restaurant called the 5 Palms, which is in this building 2 stories below you! Great food, but if you want to forgo the expense, cook your own and enjoy the same (actually better) view from your lanai. The condo itself is perfectly supplied and maintained. AC works fine, not that you'll need it. Lanai is big and perfect place for a meal/glass of wine. New kitchen and appliances. Owners are very nice and allowed us a later checkout time than advertised since we weren't leaving til 10pm sat night and there was no one coming in that Sun. Also gave great advice for our trip!! Bottom line: we got an amazing condo for an amazing price. What's not to love?

Perfect place to stay in Maui
Perfect place to stay in Maui
We just returned from a stay at this wonderful condo. The location, views and amenities were perfect. It has an nice upscale feel and the views are amazing. We saw whales jumping right from the balcony. The condo was very clean on our arrival and it had everything we needed. The on site resturant is one of the best in the area and is right on the beach. There is also an activity desk and equipment rental so you can rent bikes, snorkling equipment, kayaks, paddle boards etc. This is the perfect place to stay on Maui. As others have said the owners are wonderful and have other condos if this one is not available, so just call them and ask.

Amazing condo with an amazing view
Amazing condo with an amazing view
We have been coming to Maui for years and we won't stay anywhere else. The owners have 3 condos at Mana Kai that have all been beautifully remodeled. We switch off staying in whichever one is available during the time we want to visit. (The owners are very helpful and easy to work with.) The condo is located by great restaurants and shops and has an amazing beach. We were able to spot whales from the balcony during one of our stays. We look forward to coming back year after year!

We had a wonderful stay at the Mana Kai in March. Great place, great food and swam in the ocean every day. Saw turtles and an octopus right in front of the condos. We will be planning a return visit.

Best Condos at Mana Kai!
Best Condos at Mana Kai!
We have stayed at Mana Kai several times and will only stay in these owners condos now. They own three that have been remodeled and they are the nicest in the building. The new beds are comfortable and the new kitchen is gorgeous. The owners are very detail oriented and offer discounts for repeat customers. We love that we can rent the condos as a one bedroom or a two bedroom if we decide to bring the kids. We can't wait to go back!

About: Hi! My name is Yasmine and my parents own 3 Mana Kai condos that I help rent and manage for them. I live in Washington State where my husband is a Police Officer, but my parents and the business office are located in central California where I grew up. My husband Jason and I met at at college in Utah, and then we moved to Washington which is where he grew up as a farm boy. We've been married about 11 years and have three small boys who love to travel as much as we do, but it's getting harder now that they are in school. We still try to get to Maui at least once a year though, with or without the kids
Why Mana Kai:
My parents discovered the Mana Kai when I was young--probably about 7 or 8 years old--and then we became annual visitors, spending every spring break there until I graduated from High School. Then about 5 years ago, on an anniversary trip, my parents decided to invest in the resort that brought us so many happy memories. My siblings and I would spend hours on this beach, boogie boarding, body surfing, and playing in the sand. My Dad says there is a sort of 'magic' about this spot. We explored the rest of Maui and the other Hawaiian islands, but always kept coming back here. The combination of the angle of the building, the height of the building, sunny weather, and the family friendly beach makes it a unique spot on Maui. Also, the Mana Kai has become a fabulous resort with wonderful upgrades and amenities.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
You just can't beat the view, everytime we come it takes our breath away. We also love hearing the crash of the ocean waves, and often sleep with only the screen door shut so we can fall asleep to it. Jason likes to get up early, and every morning I would wake to see him on the lanai, sipping guava juice and watching the ocean. As a kid, I remember arriving at the Mana Kai and rushing through the lobby and onto the beach before my parents even had the luggage out of the car. Sometimes renters ask me, 'how far do we have to walk to the beach?', and I'm always so glad to answer that question: 'Just through the lobby, past the pool, and you're THERE!'
