• Children Welcome:

  This area of Lake Michigan can be the biggest source of joy for children. Sunscreen, beach towels and sand toys provide hours of entertainment. I suggest wet suits in months other than August as the Lake has beautiful crystal clear water, but can be cold for children. The waves can be very large and powerful on occasion. Variety makes the experience more fun, but caution is advised for for children and adults as the Lake can be unpredictable in intensity. In the spring and sometimes in the months of June and July, the Lake can have small harmless fish that die on the shore, Alewives. During the summer at times algae accumulates and this can be off putting to some children. The gently sloping sandy bottom and shoreline visibility from the deck assists in allowing children to play and be supervised at the same time the adults are watching them.   King size beds (1) King Bed is on the NE side of the house. The East exposure may be a bit overwhelming if guests in this room are not early risers., Queen size Beds (1) This is the middle bedroom. It is more private and further from the bright morning son., Twin or Single Beds (1) These beds are spaced about 4 feet apart and in the rear of the house.

  We have parking for 3 vehicles. Beyond that number it is necessary to part on foster AA. We respect the neighbors who make this such a wonderful experience by not using their part of the U shaped driveway. The lane and driveway are narrow. Care is advised on entering and exiting....morecollapse

  Room for up to a maximum of 3 vehicles van sized. Narrow driveway, gravel lane and driveway, can be a bit tricky in the winter. Parking is about 25 feet to the back door and has some steps, about 10 ...morecollapse

  It is cooler near Lake Michigan. During the past 22 years guests have not required A/C. The temperature is generally 10-20 degrees cooler than inland at the same location....morecollapse

• Water Sports Gear:

  Not suitable for boats other than kayaks. The soft sandy beach will not hold an anchor. Bigger boats available or can be moored at Sheboygan Harbor...morecollapse

  Uncovered deck lets you enjoy the sun until approximately 2-3 PM depending on the time of year. Sun umbrella for deck outdoor table available....morecollapse

• Outdoor Grill:

  The variety of charcoal and lighter fluid varies, but generally we provide some and more available at hardware store in town....morecollapse

• Kayak / Canoe:

  When the lake is calm, often in the early morning, guests who bring their Kayaks and canoes enjoy the tranquility and birds....morecollapse
