Kauhale Makai (Village by the Sea) is one of Maui's best moderately priced vacation properties. Our penthouse condo was purchased in 2006. Great floor plan: Both the bedroom and the living room can access the large ocean-view lanai through floor to ceiling glass slider doors. We were able to buy one of the best locations in the complex at a very good price. We took the money we saved on the purchase price and completely remodeled our 1 bedroom, 1 bath home. Everything is new (2008): Kitchen, Bath, Flooring, Bedroom and Furniture.
