Perfect for a reunion

We had 4 couples stay for 3 nights. Immediately after arriving, every single person went on for an hour about how great the place was. We just couldn't believe it. We all ran from room to room to deck to deck. The place is so roomy and airy with decks all around. The house is quite isolated and feels very private. There are a number of trails in all different directions that are enjoyable, though they are a bit steep. Each bedroom is unique and roomy. There are 2 decks and a large patio, each facing a different direction, which is perfect for adjusting to sun position. One of the decks is covered for even more flexibility. There are many living rooms. We found ourselves constantly changing locations where we wanted to hang out. And with the size of the place, we had all the little private parties that we wanted. When you got tired of hanging out where you were, you could go see who was in this room or that deck, and hang out there for a while. I would highly recommend this house for any kind of reunion. While it is a bit off the beaten path, it is well worth the 20 minute drive from Santa Fe.

We rented this estate for a week and were married on the property. After the ceremony we hosted a dinner for 50 people. Even with 50 people in and around the house and patios, it felt like we could have had another 50 easily. My point is...the place feels huge with high ceilings, interesting and fanciful design elements and it comes equipped with everything you might need in the kitchen. It was clean, well maintained, and well designed. We found the place to be magical - with views for miles and miles. It is set on a hilltop with 360 degree views, each one kind of different. Inside, the estate is spacious and beautifully maintained. The owner was friendly, informative, professional, and easy to do business with. This is a great place! We give it our highest recommendation for others.

This is a great property for a large family or several couples wanting to visit Sante Fe and the surrounding attractions. It's just 5 minutes to Tesque Village and the Market (don't miss the food), 15 minutes to the Santa Fe Plaza and surrounding art galleries, and easy day trips to Los Alamos and Bandelier National Park, Pecos National Wilderness and Monument, and Taos. Perched on a hilltop it provides expansive views of valley and surrounding mountains. The sunsets were incredible, especially with the monsoon driven thunderstorms. However, I preferred the quite of the morning as the family slept and the rising sun gave contrast to the canyons and gorges coming out of the Jimenez mountains. Night was just as amazing for star gazing! The kids spotted numerous shooting stars and satellites. This would be a great place to watch the Perseid meteor showers. Too bad we left just before it peaked today. Maybe next year. I'm definitetly considering a return trip this winter to try out some skiiting! Oh, and the owner and caretaker we're great as well. Very easy to work with and flexible. Thanks for accommodating our constantly moving schedule on day of arrival.
