Our spacious, private, Pet-Friendly home is located directly across the street from beach access - 100 yards to the access from your front door. Enjoy crystal-clear, turquoise waters and incredible sunsets that take your breath away!
Our home, "Among The Oaks of Seagrove," is located in the Village of Seagrove on the Florida Panhandle. It is situated on a secluded stretch of the Emerald Coast yet still only minutes away from golf,shopping,restaurants, and fun for all!! Midway between Destin and Panama City on Scenic Hwy 30-A, the area is also known as the Beaches of South Walton, and is prized for it's natural beauty, the lack of high-rise condos and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. A bike path runs the entire length of Hwy 30A making Seaside, Grayton, and Rosemary Beach just a short bike ride away. Bring your own bikes, or rent locally and have them delivered to your door.
"The Oaks" is a two story, four bedroom, three bathroom 2250 Sq. Ft. house situated across the street from one of the finest beaches in Florida, if not the world! In addition, you also have your own private heated pool. Located in the rear of our home, the pool has several areas to sit while the water fall and jacuzzi jets soothe and relax. A white picket fence, Live Oaks, and other local vegetation provide plenty of security and privacy.
The pool deck comes with ample pool furniture (chairs, table and loungers) for entertaining or sunning, as well as a propane BBQ for cook-outs. The pool may be reached via a paver covered path directly from the front of the home. This allows you to shower off at the outdoor, heated shower area when returning from the beach. A screened porch attached to the rear of the home comes with a table and 4 tall swivel chairs, offering a great place to sit and enjoy Florida evenings without the occasional pesky bug.
The ground floor at The Oaks contains three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The 1st Master Bedroom features a King-size bed cooled by an antique fan while sliding glass doors provide direct access to the pool deck. It also features an entertainment center armoire with TV/DVD/stereo; wet bar w/refrigerator/coffee maker/blender; large walk-in closet; wall-to-wall Berber carpet; and a comfortable lounge chair for quiet reading. The private Master Bathroom features a Jacuzzi, large walk-in shower and double sink vanity.
The second bedroom features a Queen size bed and a flat screen TV. There is also direct access to the screened porch and pool through sliding glass doors. A walk-through full bathroom contains a shower/tub which is shared with the third bedroom.
The third downstairs bedroom is designed to be kid-friendly featuring one single bed, and a bunk bed/futon (twin/double) which also serves as a couch. This allows for comfortable viewing of the wall-mounted 32" flat screen TV (GameBoy & Wii capable). Both bedrooms include more-than-ample closet spaces.
Also located on the ground floor is the washer/dryer area. The first floor is covered mainly in wall-to-wall carpet; accented with tile in the bathrooms and hallway, and hardwood flooring.
The second floor at The Oaks contains a full, all-electric Kitchen with the amenities and appliances you require for a simple, romantic vacation, or a full family reunion. Adjacent to the Kitchen is the Living/Dining area located in the Great Room; highlighted with cathedral ceiling; antique fan; chandelier lighting; and many windows.
The Dining area features a seven foot country table with seating for eight. There are also five comfortable stools at the Kitchen counter for additional seating at meals, or simply for visiting during meal preparation. Next to the Dining area is the Living Room. This space features a large sofa (Queen-size sleeper), love seat, easy chair, coffee table, and entertainment center with TV/VCR/DVD/Stereo and plenty of reading material. There is also a small "work" table with chairs ideal for your laptop (wireless HSDSL), or zigsaw puzzles. The Living Room end of the Great Room is vitually all windows allowing for plenty of sunshine, breezes and Gulf views. Walk through the French doors onto the covered deck and relax in some of the brightly cushioned wicker furniture provided for your pleasure. The sheltered deck provides a great spot for sunset viewing, evening star gazing, or early morning coffee.
Off the Living area through a second set of French doors you will find the 2nd Master Bedroom. A King sized bed fanned by an antique fan is the center piece of this large bedroom and sitting area. You will also find an entertainment armoire with TV/DVD as well as a second armoire for clothing storage. There is a large, walk-in closet with plenty of room for even the longest of vacations.
A full bathroom with a shower/tub combination is accessible from the Master Bedroom as well as from the Kitchen area. Also accessible from the bedroom through yet another set of French doors is the un-covered portion of the front wrap-around deck. There you will find a wicker chaise lounge for sunning, lounging, or enjoying the sea breeze and ocean view. The upstairs has wall-to-wall Berber carpet; hardwood flooring in the Kitchen and soothing Traverteen tile in the Bathroom.
Private parking is available in back of The Oaks for several cars with direct access to the home. Additionally, there is room in front of the house for several additional cars to safely park adjacent to Highway 30A. The covered front porch provides ample bicycle parking for the active members in your party. If you don't feel up to a bike ride you can relax in one of the rocking chairs, and enjoy the seclusion provided by the Live Oaks and Segas. The front walkway, path to the pool, and parking areas are illuminated with dusk-to-dawn lighting for both safety and security.

Why the Owner Chose Seagrove Beach West
Our dream was always to have a home on the beach, and since I have been coming to the Seagrove area for almost 30 years it seemed like the logical choice. We really like the slower pace of life in Seagrove, and it's less crowded than our neighbors Destin & Panama City Beach. It is also more family oriented, especially during Spring Breaks.
Then there is our gorgeous turquoise water and sugar-white sand beaches. I speak from personal experience when I say that the beachs in our area are comparable to the best Hawaiin beaches, just without the big surf.
Since I can't retire just yet, our home is still available for your enjoyment.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The Oaks is across the street from the beach; a short walk or bike ride from Seaside; a quick hop to Greyton or Rosemary Beach, and just 20 minutes or so to all of the activities in Destin and PCB. The Oaks has a very secluded feel due to the native vegetation and it's location at the end of Birmingham Ln. The house is open and airy, with plenty of room to strech out, or curl up with a good book in a quiet corner. We also have plenty of decks & lanais to enjoy the wonderful Florida weather, or catch a few rays in between dips in our very private, heated pool.
If you were staying here for your vacation...you'd be home! Relax & enjoy.

Best place for adult lunch and ocean watching (upstairs only open for lunch). No dress code. Reservations a must due to size and desirability. Nice breeze. Great food.

Upscale sports bar formally on Seaside Commons for many years. No dress code. Great food. 40 or so microbrews on-tap. Lots of TVs for the big game. Gumbo is excellant!
Great food. Casual dining with local color. The Bouillabaisse is excellent but split it with someone since it is so large! Great wine & beer selection.

My wife and I are both beach people. Kay born & raised in Tampa, and I Lived & worked in Hawaii on several different occasions. We met as helicopter pilots - She is now a Mom and doesn't fly anymore, and I still fly the friendly skys for a Midwest EMS helicopter company.
We are a pet friendly home because we know how important they are as members of a family. Having said that, when we visit "the Oaks," our dogs, cats and horses all stay at home and have a vacation away from us!
