    • The cottage is very comfortably furnished (wonderfully cosy king-size bed)and the eclectic mix of CDs made for many good memories. Nina was always available to answer any questions - nothing was too much trouble! All in all, a very enjoyable stay. Bob and Allison Ormerod

    • My husband and I took our kids on a mini-vacation to the lake house the week after Christmas. It was the perfect place to relax after the holiday rush. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable! I caught up on much needed sleep, and then some! The canoe ride at sunset was so nice. On New Year's Eve it was downright cold. It went down to 37, so we got to enjoy the fireplace. That was a real treat for us as we live in South Florida. Thanks for letting us stay at your wonderful house Nina!

    • We had a lovely time! The cabin was very comfortable, with a fully appointed kitchen and everything you could need to have a relaxing vacation. The lake was calm and clear and a whole lot of fun...I can't say enough good things about this lakehouse. We will be back!

    • My kids and I spent 8 wonderful days at the lakehouse in June, and I can't begin to tell you how much we have missed it since coming back home. In October of last year, my kids lost their father in a tragic accident, and With the primary goal of finding a vacation spot where the kids could begin the healing process and where I could relax and forget about my troubles, if only for awhile, I began my search for vacation spots. When I read the comments from several other guests, I immediately knew the Lake house was the place we were meant to go. Once we arrived, I discovered that not only was the lakehouse a welcoming and comfortable place to be, but the lake truly does seem to have "mystical" healing powers, and from the very first night on the lake, I felt a sense of peace and calmness that I had not felt in many months. That feeling remained with me throughout our entire stay. Simply looking out over the lake lifted my spirits and calmed my mind, and swimming or floating in the crystal clear lake water was like floating away from all of our troubles. The kids smiled and relaxed for the first time in months, and none of us wanted to return home when it was time to leave. Since returning home, when I feel like I am becoming overwhelmed with "life", I often find myself taking a "mental trip" back to the lake, and I have found that even the memory of the sights, sounds, and smells of the lake does wonders for my soul. I can't wait for the next opportunity to return to this wonderful place. Thank you, Nina, for sharing this very special place with us. Connie

    • Upon exiting our car, I could feel the serenity enveloping me! Aptly named, Lake Mystic proved to be just what we needed as a reprieve from our everyday hectic lives. The spring fed lake provided us with lazy days of swimming, floating, and fishing and each evening with the most spectacular sunsets imaginable! With the closeness of Apalachicola with its wonderful oysters on the half shell, and many other delightful places along the bay...this lake house can't be beat! But, we found it hard just getting out of the hammock under the shade tree... into the car to GO ANYWHERE! Catch your own fish and fry them in the kitchen here. I am already looking forward to my next trip to Fisherman's Paradise! Believe me...it won't be too long!!

    • I could feel my blood pressure dropping as I unpacked the car! This is the perfect place to catch up on your reading on that fabulous screened porch, or float around in water that is the perfect temp. The kitchen is well stocked for us foodies, too! St. George and Appalachicola (sp?) are great day trips, too. And hit Roy's for some of the best oysters I've ever had.

    • I have been to this lovely home on Lake Mystic several times for long "girls" weekends. It is a very special and "restorative" place. The water must have some magical properties because a swim is something more than just refreshing! While there are many fun and beautiful day trips easily accessible, my favorite days are sunning on a raft or in the pedal boat and sunset evenings with a cocktail on the dock. Always great food (we bring the best cooks!) and fresh seafood and local produce can be found just down the road. An exceptional place to unwind and just "be"!

    • Lake Mystic was the perfect get-away. The charming cabin is on a lake of crystal clear water! This cabin was a last minute find for me, but once I saw it I knew I had to be there. Though I gave very short notice, the owner was very accomodating. She answered all qustions, gave great directions and left us some sight seeing info in the cabin. I had such a wonderful experience at this cabin, I couldn't even imagine anything that could've been better! My favorite was lounging on the day bed on the giant porch, watching the sun set over the lake. I do plan on going back many times. For me, this is the beginning of a beautiful, long term relationship. Lake Mystic, I Love You!! Allison, your the best ever!! Thank you again!! So Much!!

    • This is a wonderfully peaceful place. It has a coziness that when combined with the beautiful lake and FL countryside gives you the perfect get-a-way from the city. We loved early morning coffee on the screened in porch and cocktails on the dock watching the sun set. We will definitley go back!!1
