Master Bedroom

The west facing master bedroom deck delivers fresh ocean breezes, warm sunset views and a fantastic view of the Del Mar race track and beautiful sunset. We'll welcome you to an English-country charm in a beautiful English Village style gated neighborhood yet comfortable home. 3,800 square feet of Spacious Comfort that offers a Full Bedroom (1 Queen) and Full Bath on the ground floor. Upstair, we have the most Amazing, approximately 1000 sqft master bed and bath suite with an extravagant Cal King size Bed and a relax spa like retreat sitting area comes with a massage table. Plus two generous bedrooms with 1 Queen bed and 2 twins beds share Jack and Jill bathroom with their own wash room. 5 mins to all shopping.

Just 1 mile directly east of the Del Mar Racetrack it takes 8 minutes to go from the front door of the house to the front gate of the grandstand. Forget your binoculars or some formula for your baby, you can quickly go back to the house and Return to the track in time for the next race. As an added benefit for horse lovers and race fans, right behind the home is a Private Horse Ranch where local owners stable and exercise their horses.

  • We were very hapy the 10 days we where there. We all feel like home. The beds were great and all the linnens as the best hotel I´ve ever been. We use the laudry room and it was very clean. Everything was just like you say in the advertising. The living room was very cozy. We didn´t use the eating room, because we were afraid to ruin the carpet, so we always use the kitchen table. I travel with my four kids and we care a lot of the house. The house was very clean and that makes us feel very confortable. I hope you receive back the house as well as we. We make sure to leave it as well as we could. Thanks

  • We had a wonderful time, celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday with our family who assembled from every time zone in the US. The house is a great place to host a big party, and to visit with folks who've been apart for almost a year. The bedrooms were perfect, and the private bathrooms made it so easy to bring along couples who needed their privacy, too. Everything was clean and orderly when we arrived, and the view across to the ocean is a real treat.

  • THIS WAS OUR 1ST EXPERIENCE RENTING A HOME. IT WAS FOR OUR DAUGHTER'S WEDDING HELD NEARBY.IT ALLOWED OUR FAMILY TO ENJOY A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THAT COULDN'T BE MATCHED IN A HOTEL. The house is quite spacious and makes you feel at home. The neighborhood is reasonably quiet. The construction going on behind the house was barely audible. The big surpirse was the many evenings we observed Hot Air Balloons launch RIGHT over the houses -- spectacular! The house was very well-located and well-equipped.

The house is really great...exactly how it's advertised. This is a luxury property and it made us all feel like we were at home. Plus you are in a very quaint gated community, and all the neighbors were friendly. Oh....Hot Air Balloons launch RIGHT over the house on Fridays...A very nice treat. We enjoy all of our creature comforts, and honestly, there wasn't one thing I could complain about. Thanks again!!! See you next year...but for a week next time!     5/5 very beautiful house paco02 Houston tx. Date Submitted: July 01, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008 I really enjoyed staying in this house. I stayed here for the week of my wedding and had a reception in the back patio. The house was very clean and well kept. I wasnt planning on going to the fair but the parking was down the street and enjoyed the double deck shuttle. The house I'd very close to a shopping center less than a mile and didnt need to go farther. During the reception everyone enjoyed the view in the back patio and the weather was nice. I had my mother and sisters stay there too and they loved it. everything you could possibly need was provided. if I go back to san diego I would know where to stay. I definetly recommend this home to anyone! Recommended for: Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, People with Disabilities Did you find this review helpful?   • We spent a week in 2008. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had, and tried to make our stay comfortable. The home is beautiful, comfortable and ideal for a vacation. The bedrooms are all large, the house was immaculately clean, the furniture and beds are high quality and clean. There are literally horses over the back fence all day that our kids spent hours watching. There are probably 8-10 horses just over the back fence that stay penned when not being ridden. We had friends pay the same amount for a 3 bedroom beachfront condo, and they ended up spending more time at this home during the day than in their condo. The home is in a gated community less than a mile from grocery stores, two movie theatres, two spas and nice boutique shopping. Torrey Pines Beach was the closest swim beach to the home, it was a 2 mile, 4 minute drive, and parking was free at the beach ($8 for premium parking). Our friends who were staying at the beach front condo had access to a private beach, and honestly, Torrey Pines Beach was so much better than their private beach that we ended up going to Torrey Pines whenever we wanted to swim or relax. Freeway onramps are approximately one mile from the house so there is no freeway noise, but easy freeway access. It took us 15 minutes to get to the airport and slightly more to get to the zoo and other downtown attractions. There is a grill in the back yard that we made good use of, but the kitchen is set up for easy use and opens to the living area and second floor so that preparing meals ends up being a group event. In fact, the open floor plan makes it so that 8-10 people can comfortably visit without feeling crowded. We had 7 people (5 adults and 2 kids) living for a week and never felt like we were on top of each other. The master suite is absolutely amazing, the bedroom, bathroom and closet of the master suite are probably close to 1,000 square feet by themselves. The closet is so big that we actually put our newborn’s crib in there at night and could still walk around in the closet without bumping up against his crib. The master suite closet is literally bigger than some bedrooms I have seen in other vacation rentals. Anytime we plan on vacationing in San Diego this will be the first place I try to stay. I have spent a lot of time travelling for my career, and I have lived for months at a time in Four Seasons hotels, W hotels and Ritz Carltons. I would prefer staying at this house to any high-end hotel for a week.
