  Recently stayed here on a Mother Daughter trip and it was perfect! The view was absolutely wonderful!! We loved that it was relaxed and away from the crowds. The unit was clean and well kept. This is the first I have booked on VRBO and was concerned but you have no concerns about this one. With a car you have easy access to where ever you want to go. The beach was great for morning walks and playing in the ocean. My 74 yr old mother loved sitting in the chaise lounge and reading on the lanai although in the afternoon the sun got a bit strong for her. Everyone in the resort area was very friendly and helpful. Loved the unexpected feel of the local sandwich shop and the convenience of having a gift shop close by. We did not take advantage of the BBQ but the pool area was well maintained and the grounds were in excellent condition. If I am lucky enough to make it back to Maui I will stay here for sure.

  We recently rented this condo for about a week stay on Maui. The unit is up to date and beautifully decorated with a well provisioned kitchen. It is clean and the view from the balcony exceptional. The location is convenient for reaching any part of Maui by car with ease by car but it also allows for some privacy away from the tourist crowds. The pool, hot tub and BBQ areas are kept clean. You just have to try a pina colada from the little bar located on site but don't drink it too fast or be prepared for the brain freeze. We highly recommend rental of this unit.

  My wife and I had a blast at Sugar Beach Resort. This particular condo is head and shoulders above the other units in the building. The owners have obviously spared no expense in the unit's updates. The unit directly faces the ocean and the A/C blows nice and cold when you've had too much sun. There is a bar near the pool that serves simple sandwiches from lunch onward. The resort is on the far end of Kihei with easy access to the highway. If you plan on staying for a couple of weeks--like we did, you will appreciate not having to drive thru Kihei every time you want to go somewhere. We go to Maui every year and this condo is now part of our vacation routine. The BBQ pit offers a good place to socialize with fellow mainlanders. We use to stay at the hotels but grew tired of the over priced units with dated rooms that would sit empty on the mainland. Do yourself a favour and upgrade to first class.

  My boyfriend and I headed down to Maui for 2 weeks for a very long overdue vacation! We walked into this resort and was blown away! This unit is modern, spacious and has the most breathtaking view. The ocean was literally only feet away from us and the resort was very clean and well taken care of. Everyone was very warm and welcoming, especially down at the pool and bbq areas. Booking was a breeze and the owner of the unit was an absolute pleasure to work with! Since I've been back, I've been craving to book my next visit. A definite addition to anyone's bucket list!

  I have rented this 3 rd floor condo for a number of years. The owner is always updating on a regular basis. Immaculate condo, very clean. Updated amenities. Lovely private view of the beach and Maalea Bay. When guests from other units drop by for a Mia Tai, they are always commenting on the high quality. Sugar Beach complex is well kept, staff are always cleaning or tending to the gardens. 6 BBQ'a right next to the beach, doesn't get much better for guys cooking with stories of the daily catch, heated pool with jacuzzi. Nice shade area by the pool.
