Still need a place for West Point rental 2013 ? I have another house for you to consider ($3500).
...ASK ABOUT SUMMER SPECIALS WE HAVE A FEW WEEKS LEFT...
There are many great homes in this area. Although our home is truly a retreat. I once wanted to own a spa and the closest I have come is adding endless amenities. The grounds are beautifully landscaped allowing for a walking meditation admiring the wonders of nature.
Using our outdoor walking labyrinth calms your mind as you weave into the center and out. Adjacent is the hot tub to soak your weary bones.
The outdoor living room cabana is equipped with a gorgeous stone fireplace. A glass of wine and the flames of a fire are a great way to end a summers day. Lounge by the pool and or revitalize in the sauna, you choose. We let you decide how warm you would like the pool (additional fee)
We have a king, full, and three twin mattresses on the second floor. The trundle beds are great for overflow and perfect for night use.
The living room has a pullout couch. There is a queen size bed in the studio above the gym, a full size bed in the cabin and a futon on the enclosed porch. The porch is perfect for summer nights. Keep in mind the outbuildings are a rustic experience and do not contain bathrooms..
The only question you will be asking yourself each day is which means should I use today to relax? Perhaps take a bath in the claw foot tub surrounded by candles in the master bedroom? Or indulge in a steam shower? Or lounge on the deck off the master bedroom? Or do you love to cook?
Our sunlight kitchen with Viking stove with 6 burners and griddle allows for plenty of creativity and hours of entertaining. The stove is serviced regularly.
One charming feature of being in the Garrison area are dirt roads and driveways. We are preserving this feature and have a dirt driveway (A wet spring could mean a little mud). Most of our guest from Manhattan prefer and appreciate the quiet reflective opportunity to connect with family, friend and themselves. Wireless internet and cable are available.
Lastly, we thrive on feedback and suggestions only in this way can we continue to enhance the beauty of this vacation rental. If you rent with us know that you can contact us anytime to assist in making your stay delightful.
Lots of options. What are you waiting?

This was my third visit to this beautiful home. It was just as fulfilling and relaxing as the last. The home is in a perfect location but still gives you plenty of privacy. I would recommend this home to anyone with a large group or a large family- the pictures don't do it justice and there is plenty of room. The owners are courteous, helpful, professional, and reasonable people. After having stayed here multiple times I felt that we developed a personal relationship that I value. Especially loved cooking in the kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub. Would love to come in the summer so I can try the pool out! Rent this house!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Thanks so much for a wonderful week in your home. We enjoyed the kitchen, the pool, the gym, the proximity to the Garrison Market ( + everything else), the porch and so much more. Our kids were especially grateful for the pink playhouse , the swing, and all the toys and books. We tried to take good care of everything for you!Recommended for: Families with young children.

We rented this house for a week in July to help celebrate my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. We definitely enjoyed the property. In particular, we loved the pool area, which is very well maintained and designed. Even though it rained we were able to spend time outside well-protected from the elements. We also thought that the gym was wonderful - better than many health clubs. The house itself was a bit cramped due to vacationers who had rented the house the prior week and were returning after we left. We understood that this would be the case but it did make for a little bit of a challenge. Also, we would say that while everything functioned decently the house is a bit on the shabby side of "shabby chic." The stove tended not to ignite immediately as did the gas grill. Sometimes that created a bit of drama. Also, the screens tended not to close fully allowing insects to find their way into the house. But generally these are knits (gnats?) and really rather trivial. The overall character of the house was excellent, the owner responsive to our needs and the location great for other activities such as the Shakespeare Festival at Boscobel, hiking in Breakneck Ridge, touring the galleries at DIA, going for bike rides through Putnam County. Also, there is a newish coffee shop on Rte 9D within a 3 minute walk of the house which is a nice convenience. All in, we were pleased and would be happy to return in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

First, I'd like to state that we have now booked this same property annually for 3 separate summers. We continue to return and enjoy it immensely. The owners are prompt, courteous, responsive, and professional in dealing with renters/questions; with 'upgrades' noticeable each year; plus with additional assistance (even improvements) as needed during the stay. This summer's unusually oppressive heat prompted the owner to return with extra new fans to ensure everyone's comfort. The home itself is a gloriously serene farmhouse "shabby chic". The decor is comfortable, inviting, and aesthetically pleasing; the amenities are wonderful (lovely pool, sauna, hot tub, great gym, etc.); yet it is no so pristine that the property feels prissy or restrictive. [Yes, there are some weeds in the gardens that add to its charm...] We were together for a family reunion this year that grew to as many as 11. Everyone fit ideally well without feeling crowded and we were an "ad hoc" assortment of ages and personalities. The accommodations suited the full array of us - from young to 'old'. This year we added an outdoor evening concert at nearby West Point one Sunday that left everyone perfectly thrilled with its fireworks extravaganza afterwards. (Postponed from July 4th). The wonderful amply-stocked farmhouse kitchen was especially inviting for everyone to pitch in to prepare some memorably glorious meals. After dinner, it was a delight to retreat to the outdoor stone fireplace (pool-side) on the cooler evenings; where we added the "thrill" of making camp-like old-fashioned Smores. It was terrifically glorious to spend several splendid evenings fireside with great conversation, laughs, and such a serene setting. This only added to our already memorable stay. We are sure to return again to this special property...Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We stayed here for my husbands 40th birthday. We had a fantastic time. This home is truly beautiful. My three boys had a great time swinging on the tire swings, swimming and playing in the adorable little play house. Despite the fact it was pink. The pool is fenced in as well so I wasn't too worried about the kids getting too close. Definitely give a heads up though, if you are bringing kids. This property sleeps a ton of people. We had our family of five stay and still had room for ten other family members without having to sleep anyone on the floor. It was such a pieceful and relaxing week. Everyone, including my kids, loved the serenity, rock garden/maze in the back of the house. Such a neat little feature. Would highly recommend this home to anyone who loves the calm of the country and is looking for an escape from city life.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had such a wonderful time staying at this house. It is a very cozy home, with ALL of the amenities needed to have an amazing getaway from NYC. The pictures don't really do the home justice. There is a separate cabin that is so country/chic/perfect, not to mention the state of the art gym, sauna, steam shower, hot tub, fireplaces....we had a great time and the owner was very friendly, professional and easy to work with.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This property was absolutely perfect. Plenty of room for myself and 13 others to sleep comfortably, enjoy each others company, and take in the beautiful surroundings and nice country feel of the house. The fireplace gave a very warm feeling to the house and provided a great setting for everybody to relax. I would highly recommend this house for anybody looking for a nice, relaxing time.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I stayed in this house this past weekend with six of my buddies plus our dates for a formal function at our school. The house is beautiful inside and out. The kitchen is full service with a professional viking stove; if you want to do any kind of cooking here you'll be able to. There is a nice dining room table for more formal eating and also a smaller table in the kitchen itself that's nice for breakfast. The living room was spacious; we were able to take the mattress that was out on the porch and put it in the living room to increase the sleeping space. The master bedroom upstairs is gorgeous with a king size bed and a beautiful bathroom; there's also two other bedrooms upstairs. Outside there is a grill, pool, sauna, and hottub that are great for relaxation in both the summer and winter. There is a fitness room with just about everything you could need to get a good workout in. Above the fitness room there is another king size bed; there is also heating in there so it is functional during the winter time. There is a cottage adjacent to the fitness room with another bed in it, it also had heating. Lots of beds in this house! Can easily accomodate 14 people or so (if you're willing to share beds). The house has just about everything you could possibly need, very easy to entertain yourself here. Didn't feel like I really needed to leave to do anything! If you want to though there's lots to do in the area: hiking, fishing, shopping, etc. Great house! We would love to come back again sometime, hopefully in the summer next time so we can get a chance to enjoy the pool! Thanks Bud and Claudine!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Myself and 8 friends rented this lovely house for New Years this year. "Best New Years Ever," said everyone! Claudine and her husband were so incredibly accommodating and when their hot tub malfunctioned the day before our arrival, they went out of their way to rent a new one! We had a dance party in the sauna and lay around by the wood stove reading books all weekend, it was just incredible. There's so much attention to detail on the property and a lovely, cozy, home-made feeling to every room. I can't recommend this place enough -- thank you Claudine!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

About the owner: I am an entrepreneur as well as a health and wellness keynote speaker, workshop leader , consultant and coach. I have authored three books called ' How to Stay Sane When Life isn't Tools for the Mind, Body and Spirit.' Vacationing is one tool I use to stay sane. Travel affords me the opportunity to step away from my life to step into my life. The monastic quality of voyaging fosters traveling light. Have you ever noticed that when you travel the most serendipitous things occur, well these occur everyday in our lives as well. Whether or not we stop to take note is another story. I hope you enjoy the wonders of traveling light and sharing in the gift of this retreat space. It was created with the sole purpose of having fun with friends and family.
Why the Owner Chose Garrison:
We started looking for a home as close as 30 minutes to Manhattan but could not find what we needed. Upon entering the town of Garrison we knew we had found home. Imagine a rural setting within one hour of Manhattan. Plus we are a two minute car ride to the train station. Having the ex -governor who is an outdoor enthusiast helps in preservation of this charming town.
The Unique Benefits at this Farmhouse:
Privacy is one of the many features enjoyed at this home. The lot is considered to be flagpole shaped which means we have a long driveway and the neighbors are not pressed up beside us. The 50 acres and horses across the street are an additional a bonus.
