The Washington House is two fully furnished homes with new appliances, carpeting and luxury furnishings. The first home, remodeled during Summer 2010, into two units with separate entrances, can be reserved separately or together containing 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs. In Winter 2012 we added another home with 2 bedrooms, located 1/2 block from our present location. We will not change our calendar until all units are reserved. Welcome to La Grande!

I am so glad that I found Washington House and that the owners are willing to share their beautiful spaces with total strangers! I stayed in Unit 3 for 6 days. It was a perfect base for various family members to gather while we mourned the loss of my dad, whose service was held in La Grande at the owners' other business. The amenities in the home were first class, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in while traveling and the location is quiet, yet accesible. My sister and her family stayed in Unit 1 and they loved it as well. So much better than any motel room that La Grande has to offer. This may spoil me for future vacation rentals because it is definitely my favorite of all my rental experiences. Highly recommended and I hope to be back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We stayed in the upstairs unit for a week in July 2010. It far exceeded our expectations and couldn't have found a nicer place to stay. Very comfortable and tastefully furnished along with a well stocked kitchen. It's in a nice neighborhood that is located within a few blocks of a great little family run ice cream shop. Love the Washington House...the only down side that is that dogs are no longer allowed. Understandable but disappointing.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My youngest daughter was married in Union last weekend 7/16/11. My oldest daughter found this beautiful rental home to stay for 3 nights. We rented both the upstairs and the downstairs making it a family home for the weekend. It was convenient to downtown La Grande yet in a quiet neighborhood and offered all the amenities of a home away from home. The house was very clean and well stocked with anything one might need if they were in their own home. I would rent this vacation home again and I would certainly recommend it to anyone I know. Thanks ever so much. Since we were there for a wedding the girls all went out to have mani/pedis at Hitek Nails on Fir St. They were very nice and did an excellent job for all of us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The Washington Vacation Home is truly an amazing place. This home as everything you need and has first class amenities,such as the fine linens. One of the best features is the comfortable beds, and the quiet neighborhood. This home is very cozy and relaxing. It helped me find my ZEN again. This is definetly home away from home for me. The owners Kevin and Carla were extremely friendly. I can't imagine staying any where else when I visit La Grande.
