The Washington House is a fully furnished home with ALL brand new appliances, carpeting and luxury furnishings. We remodeled during Summer 2010 and added another living room, kitchen and two additional bedrooms downstairs. The upstairs unit is separate from the downstairs unit. They can be reserved separately or together, expanding your choices to 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We still need to raise our prices according to everyone who has stayed with us, but we aren't going to! Welcome to La Grande.

We stayed in the upstairs unit for a week in July 2010. It far exceeded our expectations and couldn't have found a nicer place to stay. Very comfortable and tastefully furnished along with a well stocked kitchen. It's in a nice neighborhood that is located within a few blocks of a great little family run ice cream shop. Love the Washington House...the only down side that is that dogs are no longer allowed. Understandable but disappointing.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

My youngest daughter was married in Union last weekend 7/16/11. My oldest daughter found this beautiful rental home to stay for 3 nights. We rented both the upstairs and the downstairs making it a family home for the weekend. It was convenient to downtown La Grande yet in a quiet neighborhood and offered all the amenities of a home away from home. The house was very clean and well stocked with anything one might need if they were in their own home. I would rent this vacation home again and I would certainly recommend it to anyone I know. Thanks ever so much. Since we were there for a wedding the girls all went out to have mani/pedis at Hitek Nails on Fir St. They were very nice and did an excellent job for all of us.

The Washington Vacation Home is truly an amazing place. This home as everything you need and has first class amenities,such as the fine linens. One of the best features is the comfortable beds, and the quiet neighborhood. This home is very cozy and relaxing. It helped me find my ZEN again. This is definetly home away from home for me. The owners Kevin and Carla were extremely friendly. I can't imagine staying any where else when I visit La Grande.
