Enjoy an authentic wine country experience, where the simple life of the past meets the present in the Bullock House, a single story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath historic farmhouse. Built in 1922, for Mrs. Bullock, the granddaugher of one of the first settlers in the Dry Creek Valley, this beautifully restored and maintained farmhouse looks as it did 80 years ago, and sits in the middle of a world class Merlot vineyard. The 1991 Merlot made from this vineyard was a gold medal Best of Class winner at the 1995 Bordeaux wine judging, the only wine from America to win this prestigious award.
The columned wrap-around veranda, detailed cherry woodwork, cabinetry and special architectural details, unique to this period home, take you back in time. Situated in the heart of the famed vineyards of the Dry Creek Valley, this beautiful home is conveniently located within walking distance of several renowned Dry Creek Valley Wineries and Tasting rooms. There are picnic areas nearby, as well as the Dry Creek General Store and Deli for your gourmet provisions.
This lovely historic home is updated with central heat and air conditioning and has 3 bedrooms with queen beds, luscious linens and new bedding, and 2 full bathrooms. Enjoy the beautiful parlor with sleeper sofa (full sized), and entertainment center, Dish TV, and a DVD/VHS player, adjoining the formal dining room with a gas fireplace. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials for cooking and is equipped with a gas range/oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, blender, cookware, dishes, flatware, glassware, etc.
Enjoy outdoor entertaining on the veranda or among the vines, under the wisteria covered arbor, outside the kitchen on the back patio, with picnic table and extra benches, BBQ, and outdoor heater for cooler evenings. Child and pet friendly, the Bullock House is full of charm from a by-gone era, with vaulted beamed ceilings, original leaded glass decorative windows, and many special period details, making for a unique vacation destination for the whole family.
