  What a wonderful gem! My family truly enjoyed our winter getaway to this incredible place. Walking distance of so much activity, but total seclusion and privacy. Thank you for your hospitality!!

  The communication with the owner from the start was difficult and not like any I have had with our multiple stays through Home Away. I had to reach out to him numerous times asking for the details to enter the house prior to our arrival and after a many attempts finally got it. When we arrived the pool had leaves in it and wasn't desirable.The hot tub was one of the primary reasons we chose this place, and it was broken for the entire stay. After one day of being at the place I received an email from the owner stating he did his math wrong and would need additional monies from me. I signed an agreement and paid in full the total that was on our agreement weeks ago and felt that he should honor the agreement. That didn't make a difference. He took the money out of the security deposit despite that his rental agreement stated “that the security deposit will not be used towards rent”. We felt scammed.Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I would not stay here again.

  Owner response: I am very sorry to see that my past guest, Tiffani S. was so disappointed with her stay. After seeing her review, I feel it necessary to respond. Regarding communications: I just counted and there were a total of 31 email exchanges between myself and Tiffani regarding her 3-night rental. Each email and phone call was responded to promptly. I am not sure when she had a difficult time getting details about the house. The house is on a gated property and to access the drive, you must enter a 4-digit code at the gate. I typically do not release this number until 24-48 hours before a guest arrives. This was disclosed well in advance and is to alleviate any confusion, should the access number be changed prior to the guests arrival. Regarding the pool and Jacuzzi: The pool and Jacuzzi are both professionally maintained by a licensed pool contractor and cleaned daily by my staff. Because of the vast tropical foliage, leaves will fall into the pool. When this happens, we do our best to remove the leaves with a net or vacuum. Regarding the Jacuzzi, there was an issue with the circuit breaker which powers the blower/jets. This problem was resolved soon after the problem was reported to the pool contractor. Although a slight inconvenience, this feature would not classify the Jacuzzi as "broken." Regarding rates: I quoted the SAME rate, taxes and departure cleaning fee in emails as it is advertised in the HomeAway/VRBO listing. I also had these same rates in the Rental Agreement. Tiffany agreed to rent the house at those posted and quoted rates. The "error" occurred when I added the columns (rental rate, tax and cleaning fee.) There was a $144 error in the TOTAL. This was an honest mistake, which only effected the TOTAL and NOT the actual charges. Soon after I sent the Rental Agreement, I noticed my error and tried to call Tiffany to explain. She did not return my calls. One of my staff members met her at the house and checked her in. I then tried to reach her without luck, so I sent an email explaining the error in the total - explaining that the charges were correct, but the total was not. I encourage you to read the 9 other reviews posted on this house over the past few years.

  My wife and I stayed in Sapodilla House at Mary's Resort from Christmas until the end of February and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The listing description and photos were entirely accurate--although the photos did not fully reflect how beautiful the place really is. Keith proved to be a good host and John, the manager, could not have been more helpful or efficient. The location is a bit off the beaten track and very little is within walking distance. However, if you have a car, everything is readily accessible. We could not have been more pleased with the entire experience.

  My family (myself, my husband, and 9 month old baby girl) and I stayed at this lovely property over Christmas 2010 and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The cottage itself is beautiful and immaculately kept with all upgraded amenities. The grounds are gorgeous with fabulous tropical foliage and a great, heated pool with hot-tub. Sailboat Bend is a great neighborhood and is only just a 10 minute walk to the Discovery Science Museum and the Riverwalk. Keith was very helpful in giving us tips as to the great amenities in the area. There are several parks excellent within walking distance, we took our baby on a few walks and it was very enjoyable. Our little girl enjoyed the heated pool very much, and even had the opportunity to watch John feed the fish. Really, a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

  This is as good as it gets. Yes the pictures are true, but this place is even more beautiful than the pictures. Once passed the gate, the tropical vegetation is superb, plush and luxurious. The grounds are well maintained and spotless. Surrounding this beautiful vegetation is a jacuzzi which flows into the pool and heats up the entire pool, swimming after dinner is fantastic especially when the weather is fresh and the pool heats up to 84 degrees! Our condo was upstairs a separate little cottage, clean, gorgeously renovated with a beautiful designer decor, a wonderful terrace overlooking the gorgeous vegetation. We had dinner and breakfast out on our terrace everyday of our stay in this beautiful setup. The owner provided us with beach towels in our condo, gave us a key to the supply room where we had access to beach chairs, parasol, bicycles, and washer and dryer. The airport is a 10 minute drive, Interstate 95 is 5 minutes away very convenient to go to Miami or West Palm Beach or anywhere else close by very fast. Although there are bicycles it is almost necessary to have a car to go to the beach but not impossible cycling to shops and restaurants on Las Olas blvd not even 7 to 10 minutes away. I would recommend this gorgeous condo to anyone and I wish to go back as soon as possible with my husband again myself. Thank you Keith for everything, we had a great vacation.

  During 2 weeks we had wonderful days in this beautiful, well equipped house middle in a luscious tropical garden. Really a wonderful quiet oasis in the urban area from Fort Lauderdale. We had it all, calm days, sightseeing, shopping, dining, swimming in the pool and the beach.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  This property lived up to all we expected from the descriptions we had received, clean and comfortable, providing the privacy we required. We were looking for a relaxing vacation, away from all the daily grind, we found it here, on quiet days relaxing round the pool was ideal. The hire car was essential, to make isits to the local beach and for shopping, would recommend this resort for quiet, relaxing times.

  Me and my family thought we had come to paradise when we step through the gates of Keith's wonderful place. The house is fully embedded in greenery with a jungle feeling. Excellent standard in all details and very well run. Keith manages his obligations as host at the very best and you feel really welcome and looked after. We can really recommend this place to anyone who visits FLL area.

  We absolutely loved staying at Keith's place. First of all the location was perfect. We were close to the boat show and marina, Los Olas where I could hit the Imax and all the art galleries, and close to town where my husband had to be. The bungalow was spotless, the beds super comfy and the furnishings - designer and sumptuous. But our favorite part was the lush gardens. pool and jacuzzi. It was like we were on a Caribbean island somewhere!! We loved relaxing in the jacuzzi each night with the palms swaying overhead and the soft music playing around us. It was just PERFECT. I would definitely recommend this wonderful retread to anyone who is planning a stay in FLL. And what a PLUS that Keith allowed our Yorkie with us!
