Hilo, and Pahoa are a short drive away.

Driving towards Hilo is the village of Kea’au where there is a daily open air market(we suggest buying your groceries here and saving $$$)and great casual dining. Continue on Highway 130 you will reach Old Town Pahoa where you can choose from terrific Thai, Italian and Mexican Restaurants!!! Don't miss the Maku'u Farmers Market every Sunday. You can spend the whole day trying all of the different foods. There is always some local music being played while you shop for all of your vegetables, fruits, and many different types of local creations. There are full-size grocery stores in either village of Kea'au, and Pahoa for your shopping convenience. Old Pahoa Town has 11 multi-national restaurants to choose from and an extremely well stocked Natural Foods store. Hilo town with it’s fantastic farmer’s markets and old town history is only a short 20 minute drive. Hilo Farmers Market features local artisans’ as well as fresh veggies, fruits and many different types of food every Wednesday, and Saturday!!!
