Sugar Plum is a four year old house just above Little Apple Bay. The open air design brings the uninterrupted view and breezes inside.
The living room is furnished with teak and mahogany furniture and a very cushy sofa. The dining area offer a marble top teak table and dining chairs for six. Mahogany and Teak furnishing are used throughout Sugar Plum to create a rich tropical atmosphere enhanced with local artwork by David Thrasher of Caribbean Landscapes.
Sugar Plum has three air conditioned king bedrooms with en suite baths. Plus ceiling fans in every room including the bathrooms. The two upper bedrooms are very comfortable and inviting with their four-poster Kings beds with wonderful tropical print accessories. Each bedroom has its own large bathrooms with showers.
The downstairs master bedroom is 450 square feet of Caribbean charm. It is separate, private and is flanked by a cozy private breakfast patio and an additional deck with a fabulous view for sun bathing. It may be rented separately if you only rent the two upstairs bedrooms. It boasts a king bed and a large private sitting/lounging area with Cable TV, DVD and CD player. The master bath is 10 X 12 with a two headed shower. Ceiling fans in every room including the bath or this entire suite is air conditioned. A small fridge and coffee maker are included.
The upstairs kitchen is completely equipped with everything you may need; espresso maker and coffee grinder, complete collection of Caribbean spices and hot sauces, full size electric range with oven, microwave, toaster oven, a side by side fridge with ice maker.
Other amenities are Cable TV, Flat Screen Home Theater with DVD/CD, ADSL Internet line, phone, gas grill, beach towels, linens, hairdryer, room safe, sand chairs, a cooler for the beach. The house is prepared for your arrival and a weeks supply of bath and beach towels. Daily maid may be arranged if you prefer at additional cost.
Unobstructed panoramic views of the azure sea dotted with sail boats range from Jost Van Dyke and Sandy Cay over to the surf break at Cane Garden Bay. The surf break at Little Apple Bay is just below and is a great view and entertaining in the winter months.
The location is perfect with easy access walking or driving to Little Apple Bay and Long Bay beaches. It is quiet a hike to Smuggler's Cove beach, however, if you are into exercise, the walk is a good one. Many restaurants and bars within a short drive include Coco Plums, Sugar Mill, Palm's Delight and Long Bay's two restaurants are within a two minute drive; The Bomba Shack, home of the famous Full Moon Party, is a two minute drive, Jolly Roger, Pusser's Landing are within a five minute drive. West End Ferry to Jost Van Dyke, St. Thomas and St. John is a five minute drive. Road Town is a 25 - 30 minute drive, Beef Island airport is a 45 minute drive.
Little Apple Bay and Long Bay are a three minute walk down and about an 8 to 10 minute walk up. |
