'Blue tranquility' at Sugar Beach Condominiums, where the only thing we 'overlook' is the blue Caribbean Sea!
Our unit, #205, is a luxurious 1400 sq foot condominium, located on the second floor, which features a 200 sq foot gallery overlooking the beach and the Caribbean Sea. Why stay at a hotel when you can enjoy all these lovely features?
From the expansive gallery, which overlooks the beach, relax with a glass of wine while you enjoy spectacular views and stunning sunrises.
This condo is furnished with lovely tropical decor,and has flat screen TVs' in both bedrooms, as well as a 42" flat screen HDTV with DVD player in the living room. There is a stereo system with iPod dock in the living room, as well as iPod/MP3 radios in both bedrooms. There are sliding doors on to the gallery from both the master bedroom and the living room, and lovely teak Adirondack chairs to relax in and enjoy the tropical breezes.
We are the only unit at Sugar Beach that provides free wireless internet, a safe to secure your belongings, and flat-screen TV's with DVD players in the bedrooms as well as the living room.
We have an off-site property manager who oversees our property, and maintains our unit to our high level of standards. By utilizing an individual to manage our condo, we are able to provide you with a personalized level of service--luxurious linens, plush towels, over-sized beach towels and a welcome gift upon arrival.
On site there is a freshwater pool, nestled by historic sugar mill ruin, with club house, and 2 tennis courts. Our beach offers wonderful snorkleing and lounge chairs to relax upon. Sugar beach is about 7 miles from the airport and 2 miles from historic Christiansted.

Why the Owner Chose Christiansted
We chose our condo on St Croix for its "million-dollar" view. Once we stepped out on the gallery, and saw the turquoise water and fabulous view, we were hooked! We looked at over 30 properties, but this one kept drawing us back. How lucky we were that the rest of the place was as lovely. St Croix is our favorite Caribbean island, charming and laid-back, and the local people, Crucians, are so warm and friendly.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
St Croix offers the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the Caribbean. There are many beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and many watersports a short drive away. Restaurants and shopping are a 5 minute drive, 2 restaurants in walking distance, and, of course, the famous beer-drinking pig. We have owned our condo for several years, and still have not done everything.

We always dreamed of a retirement spot on a tropical island, and we are so happy that we found that place here, at our "Blue Tranquility" at Sugar Beach. After purchasing our condo, we discovered scuba, and became certified divers, and enjoy the 100+ dive sites available around St Croix.

We loved the condo and the personnel there. William the groundskeeper was wonderful and kept things looking great. I liked having two bars and restaurants within walking distance. Drive to town was not far and enjoyed Christiansted very much. Planning on going next year but will eat dinner in the condo instead of going out every night. We stayed on the beach all day and around five moved to the pool for cocktails. Renting a car is a must and we toured the whole island while there. Weather was great. The condo had everything anyone would need. The only complaint was that the location of the second bedroom allowed the outdoor light to shine in at night and our son had a hard time falling asleep. Some kind of shade of curtain to block out light is needed. Other than that - PERFECT. (owner note---- drapes have been changed in second bedroom to eliminate light issues)

Great apartment, great beach, great Island. Reviewed on 02/09/2010 for a stay on 12/01/2009 We loved the bright, clean, comfortable and very well equipped apartment right on a perfect beach for swimming and snorkeling. The owner was lovely and helpful and the whole trip was low stress and wonderful.

We didn't want to leave! Reviewed on 07/27/2010 for a stay on 07/01/2010 Our stay was awesome! so relaxing and quiet. Waking up to the beach right outside our window was the best! We had breakfast every morning on our private gallery/balcony! The condo is stocked with everything you need towels, beach chairs, snorkel equipment, washer & dryer, utensils, dishes, even a library of Dvds! We were so glad we rented a car and driving on the left side of the road wasn't as hard as I thought! Would love to come back again.

Blue Tranquility is a lovely place to stay. My husband and I stayed for 8 nights in this quiet, well equipped condo (Feb-Mar 2011). The pictures are an accurate representation of the accommodations you'll get when you stay here. This was our third visit to St. Croix and our first time renting this condo. We loved it. The condo is very tastefully decorated and well stocked with everything you need (beach towels, beach chairs, coolers to take sandwiches to the beach, bath towels & linens, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, TVs, Dvd's, books & board games, wireless internet access, a safe for valuables, and many more amenities). It was wonderful to sit on the huge gallery with morning coffee or evening wine, enjoy the view and watch the seaplanes coming and going. The unit is on the second floor, so we left the screen sliders open as we slept & awoke to the sound of the ocean waves. The owners were very accommodating and we kept in touch by email during our visit. We will pack lighter next time, since there is a washer and dryer to clean clothes mid-stay. We'd recommend renting a car so you can explore the sights around the island. The condo is close to Christiansted for shopping and dining. Schooner Bay Marketplace is a good place to pick up deli sandwiches for the beach, or to pick up a prepared takeout dinner or salad from their salad bar, and there are other grocery stores and shops nearby. If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation, you'll love Blue Tranquility!
