Stay here and it's like having your own private beach, which is only steps away!!
Everything is practically new and in great shape. We clean and care for the property ourselves. We keep this place CLEAN! Either I or a member of my family prepare the unit for each guest.
The king, double, and 3 twin beds accommodate 2 couples and 3 singles, or 1 couple and 4 singles.
We supply 6 beach badges, 4 beach chairs, an umbrella, and many beach toys.
Gardens and more greet you at this classic beach house. One mile from the south end of the island, we are situated in a quiet residential neighborhood with beach access directly across the street. Here the ocean road is two lanes with extra wide bike lanes on both sides for strolling, biking, and rollerblading. The beach to our right is unguarded with NO crowds; plenty of great fishing opportunities for the surfcaster. The beach to the left is guarded and kid friendly. Three surfing beaches are within 1 mile in both directions of the house (Holyoke, Nelson and the Forsythe jetty). Our home is close to the bay and beautiful bird-filled open marshland. Beach Haven and all of its activities are just 1 mile to the north. The peace and natural beauty of the John Forsythe National Refuge stretches for miles just 1 mile south of us.
There is also a teak table with four chairs, and 5 additional porch chairs on the large covered porch over looking the gardens. There you can see the ocean and dunes as you enjoy the breezes from any direction.
The living room has a large screen TV, biege/blue/white striped sofa, 2 chairs and rocking chair. Wi-Fi included.
The master bedroom has a king bed and its own 1/2 bath. There is a another bedroom with a double bed, and a third bedroom with a brand new twin oak bunk bed and another twin bed. All of the bedrooms have brand new tile flooring that imitates hardwood.
You have your own laundry room/storage room, with a washer and dryer, next to your deluxe outside shower. In your back yard your have a gas grill and clothes line for bathing suits and towels.
We provide 6 beach badges,an umbrella and chairs for your days at the beach. We even have beach toys for the kids. Bike rentals are less than a 1/2 mile away....walking distance, at The Boardwalk. All you need to bring are bed linens and towels (and lots of sun screen).

Year Purchased: 1998
About the owner: Hi! We are a active family of four, mom dad and 2 daughters. My husband and I both grew up spending our summers here on the island. Now we have our eldest daughter life-guarding the beaches and our youngest training to do the same.
Why the Owner Chose Holgate:
Having spent all of my summers here in Holgate since I was 3, I couldn't imagine having a summer house anywhere else. I love the small town charm of Beach Haven and the peace and solitude of Holgate. We have 3 surfing beaches within the 1 mile stretch of Holgate, and the beautiful bird sanctuary to the south. There is still open land, plenty of wildlife, and wide open spaces to put down your blanket and belongings on the beach.

We are just across a 2 lane street from the beach, so you get the short hop to the beach and all the breezes without the beach-front price.
