We spent eight days in this apartment and it was definitely one of the main reasons our trip to Paris was so fabulous. The location was fantastic. Le Marais is a wonderful neighborhood (and I emphasize the word "neighborhood") with everything you might possibly need just a few steps from the front door. Also, easy walking distance to a number of key Paris attractions and superb/inexpensive restaurants (including Au fil des Saisons, Bistrot de Madame Shawn, and la vache acrobate - to name a few) as well as a metro stop just a few blocks away. Cafe Charlot at the top of the street is where we started and ended every day. Alexandra was a dream to deal with and couldn't have been nicer. She facilitated a simple rental transaction and made it easy for us to pick up our key and drop off our luggage early. I would DEFINITELY stay here again and I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable apartment with a comfy bed, great shower, and primo location. Five stars all around.

This apartment is as advertised. No frills, simple, clean, great location, great restaurants near, walking distance to almost everything (if you like to walk). Highly recommended. Gia at the Cafe is the greatest. DO NO LOCK your keys in the apt! i would recommend to a friend. Great restaurant: Au fil des saisons. I ate their twice in 10 days. Owner is happy to speak fluent English.

Au coeur du Marai

This was my second time at this nice and functional appartment. The shower is very good, the mattress is comfortable, the kitchen is great, there is a washing machine; it's perfect to a couple or a person alone as it's possible to eat at home and to do the laundry when you need. About the location, what I can say is that this is a great place, at the very center of this charming neighborhood called Marais, next to the subway and served by many lines, at Filles du Calvaire and Republic Square, wich are only 5 minutes walking from the appartment. It's surrounded by really sympathetic cafés and there are lots of fashion boutiques, jewelry shops, bookstores, markets, everything at a "walk-distance", at Rue Bretagne, Bd. du Temple, etc. At the neighborhood is located the Centre Georges Pompidou, wich is amazing and houses an important museum of contemporary art (20th century); also the wonderful Place des Voges, where is located the Victor Hugo's House, very nice to be visited. And much more. To sum up, it's a fantastic place to spend some days in Paris. My only warning is that there isn't a lift/elevator at the building and the appartment is on the 3rd floor, so, it could be difficult for the elderly and impossible to people with disabilities.

We enjoyed Alexandra's hospitality for a two week honeymoon in Paris. The Marais district is the most wonderful area walking, shopping, and staying for an extended time. The apartment is simple, but not without it's charm. The location could not be better. Within a block are innumerable cafes, bread shops, flower shops, chocolate shops, bakeries, and a wonderful outdoor food market with fabulous Moroccan food (when you need to eat something other than cheese and bread). The close markets allowed us to save on food and have the most wonderful picnics as we strolled through time and splendor! THANK YOU ALEXANDRA!

I would recommend this apartment - the listing is accurate and the apartment is in a great neighbourhood! It is charming, clean, straight-forward and perfect for a couple. Very comfortable apartment in a great location in the Marais and an exceptionally good deal. I was there two weeks and had everything I needed. Alexandra is a gracious, helpful host. I hope to rent again.

We have visited Paris on several occasions; we have always stayed in hotels, including a five star hotel near the Place de la Concorde. This time, we wanted to be able to take advantage of all the lovely food markets and to live as locals for the week rather than tourists. After our week staying in this delightful apartment - we are true converts and would never stay in a hotel again! Apart from the fantastic location, we appreciated the clean, well maintained apartment including a comfortable bed with beautiful bed linen. It was quiet, secure, but only metres from fantastic cafes and shops. Despite Alexandre's baby being sick, she was there if we needed her and even organised a taxi for us to the airport. We highly recommend this apartment and its location if you are looking to really experience Parisien life. Thank you Alexandre for your hospitality.

Don from Montreal recommended Rue Charlot and we were certainly not disappointed. It is in an ideal location with all amenities close by. Easy access to the Metro made getting around Paris very easy. The apartment itself is very clean and modern. Most importantly it was very quiet. Unfortunately, we did not get an opportunity to meet Alexandra but she was always available by cell phone for our enquiries. Many thanks to Carlos who greeted us and was able to give us directions to different areas of the city we wanted to visit. We would most definitely stay here again. Diane

We had a wonderful 6 days in this fantastically positioned apartment in the Marais. The nearest Metro was 5-10 minutes away. The apartment was clean, quiet and comfortable and we would highly recommend it. Alexandra was very helpful and attentive.

49 Rue Charlot is a very cute apartment located in one of the best areas of Paris. The bed is very comfortable, it has a full kitchen and washer, and the apartment is close to the Metro. I highly recommend this place! Thanks so much!

This apartment in the Marais’ Rue Charlot is in a great area and is ideally located. Around the corner from fashionable Cafe Charlot and near many hip boutiques, historic Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris, and the Rue des Rosiers, the main thoroughfare of the Marais' historic Jewish quarter are also walking distance. One of the oldest covered open-air markets, Marché des Enfants Rouges, is across the street, as are many other wonderful food purveyors. The apartment itself is topnotch with clean tile floors and parquet, and a general white/neutral decor that is fresh and inviting. We wanted for nothing while here (there is even a washing machine!) and the owner Alexandra was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. An overall lovely experience and a great value for small parties. We will surely stay here again given the chance.

We had an amazing week at Alexandra's adorable Marais apartment. Alexandra was extremely helpful, the apartment was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Its interior location made for quiet nights, yet the windows let in plenty of sunshine. The apartment has all the charm of the historic Marais with modern conveniences. Above all, the location is amazing--we walked to all the major attractions but several metro stops are nearby. With the Marche des Enfants Rouges and several great bistros and shops on Rue Bretagne, there is everything you need nearby.

This fully-equipped studio apartment on rue Charlot was perfect for my needs...the bed was super comfortable, the bathroom very functional and the kitchen area stocked with all the necessities. This modern-designed apartment looks onto an interior courtyard which means that it is very quiet and peaceful. I chose to stay here because of the location..and it is FANTASTIC....lots of cool cafés, markets, shops/art galleries and walking distance from everything. We enjoyed our time at the rue Charlot apt. It was a great size for 2 people with all the necessary accomodations to be a 'temporary local.' It sat in a quiet courtyard on the top floor of the building. We stayed in Paris for 4 nights and would choose to rent an apartment over a hotel. The apartment was well-secure and sat on a trendy street filled with local clothing, accessory shops. I would recommend using the replubique metro stop for transportation as it has a couple of different lines and is a 7 minute walk to the apartment. We found many things to do within walking distance: farmer's market, nice bookstore, pharmacy, everything that you need to enjoy life as an interim Parisian. The proprietor welcomed us in person at the apartment and gave us good directions from the CDG, she was available for anything that we need. We enjoyed her good communication availability and assistance. Would definitely recommend this apartment and would use it again on our next stay in Paris.
