This beautiful rancher, nestled in a wooded community, is situated on a half-acre lot that is truly peaceful. Double sliding glass doors and a large open deck offer scenic views of Pines Lake and colorful sunsets. A private sand beach is right at your doorstep –just twenty yards down the stone-lined path! Excellent fishing, nearby public beach, and easy access to all the wonderful things there are to see and do in the Pocono Mountains.

Features of this charming, year-round rental property:
* The kitchen area has a view of the lake and seating for six.
* The huge deck (20 by 30 feet) is great for barbeques and relaxing in quiet surroundings.
* There is a queen-size Master Bedroom with ceiling fan and connected bath with tiled walk-in shower (Bathroom all new in 2007).
* The second bedroom also has a queen-size bed, and ceiling fan.
* The third bedroom has new bunk beds. A full-size hall bath is also available. The family room has a masonry fireplace, Cable TV, VCR/DVD and high speed Internet.
* Located on Pines Lake - an excellent fishery provides abundant opportunity to catch bass, pickerel, walleye, crappie, perch, bluegill and catfish. Locust Lake is also stocked regularly with mature trout. Included with the rental is the use of a 14 foot aluminum rowboat and canoe along with paddles, oars and life jackets.

The Locust Lake Village community includes four lakes, three with white sandy beaches and lifeguards on duty throughout the summer. Use the rowboat or canoe from your private beach to row over to the community beach. There is a snack bar, playground, and picnic area at each lake. Also during the summer months, the recreation committee has activities planned for almost every day, including arts and crafts. Other activities held throughout the summer include movies, bingo night and teen dances. Additional recreational facilities in the community include: A baseball field, a basketball court, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, bocci ball, playground, tennis courts, and picnic areas.

The Village is close to a shopping center containing an excellent food market and a variety of stores and great restaurants. On the eastern boundary of the Village is the 21,000 acre Brady's State Game Lands.

The Pocono Mountains offer a variety of activities for every season:

In the winter, you can visit the nearby ski resorts of Big Boulder/Jack Frost. They offer downhill skiing, snow boarding and tubing for every skill level. This is also a great spot to kick back and relax with daily musical entertainment. Nearby Tannersville offers, The Crossings Outlet, that features many of today's top designers for your shopping pleasure. Jim Thorpe offers fine dining and quaint shops. For those NASCAR fans, Pocono Raceways in minutes away.

In the summertime, Whitewater rafting and Mountain Biking along the Lehigh River/Gorge is great fun. Horseback riding or Paint ball is also close by for the more adventurous. Hickory Run State Park offers many different hiking trails for every member of the group. Nearby Camelback has a large water park for your enjoyment.
