Charming 2 bedroom seaside cottage in Madaket which is perfect for a couple or small family.
This classic Nantucket bungalow is located steps to Madaket Beach, one of the best beaches on the Island. The NRTA shuttle stop is located very close to the house. There are water views from almost every window in this charming house.
The cottage has two bedrooms (Queen, Queen) and one full bath (Shower) as well as an outside shower. The house is freshly painted and newly decorated. There is a small breakfast area in the kitchen to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a comfortable living room with cable TV, DVD, surround sound and stereo system. Have a leisurely meal in the dining room and take in the sunsets. There is also a dining table on the private deck as well as a gas grill. The property is surrounded by mature hydrangeas.
Madaket is a quaint village approximately 7 miles from Nantucket Town. You can cast your reel at Smith’s Point for some of the best fishing. Miles and miles of quiet dirt roads are behind the house to enjoy a long peaceful walk or to train for your next marathon. You will have the best seat in the house to experience the famous Madaket sunsets and the amazing starlit skies.
Other amenities include wireless hi-speed internet, stereo, surround sound, washer, dryer, beach chairs, cooler and beach towels.
We do welcome well behaved pets.

About the owner: My husband is a 'native' Nantucketer and I am a 'washashore'. We love living on the west end of the Island.
Why the Owner Chose Madaket:
My husband inherited this charming house from his Aunt Helen. Helen Chapel lived in the home for 40 years until her passing in the late 1980's. At the time of her passing the television show 'Wings' was being developed. The writers of the show borrowed names from the local Nantucket obituaries for the characters on the TV show. Everyone remembers pretty Helen Chapel who ran the snack counter at the airport on the sitcom Wings!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love to walk out the back door and be at Madaket Beach in less than one minute. We hear the surf and also enjoy amazing sunsets. The bike path and shuttle bus into Town are right outside the front door.
