Location: Trastevere, Rome, Latium (Lazio), Italy, Europe
Accommodations: Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)
Keywords: Condominium
This apartment is located on the first floor of a very decent building with the elevator and the doorman. About 65 square meters, open space with fully equipped kitchen and living room with a double sofa, table and chairs , a large double bedroom (queen size bed) with a wardrobe and night tables, a second bedroom with 2 single beds that can become a queen size bed, with wardrobe, a little desk with chair and night tables, 1 bathroom with bathtub and shower, so that up to 4 guests can very comfortably reside.
The apartment has Independent heating system, A/C, TV International channels, hairdryer.
This place’s located on the top of the famous Trastevere quarter, surrounded by the greenery. It’s spacious, shining, neat and tide. The address is Via Nicola Fabrizi. That area’s very quiet and very safe at night too.
If you visited the web sites maps and inserted the address you could have a correct idea about its good location. From there, the heart of Trastevere (Santa Maria in Trastevere Church) can be easy reached with a short down walk by stairs (five minutes). In the opposite side, walking up distance. you can reach the famous Gianicolo (one of the seven hills of Rome) to enjoy the view of the wonderful landscape over Rome. Trastevere, located on the right bank of the Tiber river, between the Coliseum and the Vatican. It’s a distinguishing artists old quarter, very typical with tight street, full of many kind of shops (restaurants, pubs, bars, pizza shops, artists shops, antique store, pharmacy, grocery, supermarkets etc.) and just crossing the bridge, you can reach the most important historical sites of the City.
The name Trastevere comes from Latin language (Trans-Tiber) and means "just after the Tiber". In fact, in the old past, the City ended up the left bank of the Tiber. Then, just crossing. Also many bus stops on Viale Trastevere to go everywhere. Anyway, living Trastevere it’s a very good and interesting experience.
Also, in the same buildind and on the same landing I have an other very similar apartment with a terrace too, that can be seen on visiting the listing #157018 that can host up to 5 guests. So that up to 9 people can be comfortably reside in both apartments, availability allowing.

Very Comfortable

We just returned from a week at this comfortable apartment. Two items worth mentioning: the bar downstairs is an evening gathering place only and is VERY popular. This meant people talking and smoking right under our open windows. In warm weather this could be a problem for non smokers. We could just shut the windows. The other item to be aware of is that there are 100 steps down from the complex (and back up) to the San Cosimato market and shopping area. It is a beautiful, graceful eerie of terraces and the market below is excellent, not at all touristy. A corner bar on the way, "Bros" is a wonderful place for morning cappuccino and pastry. All the staff involved were very professional and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Pros: Great customer service from Toni, Alessia and Farid. All emails and phone calls were answered promptly. Apartment had plenty of space and contained all the basics. WiFi had an excellent connection. Bus/tram connections were not far away. We found it easy to get around Rome. Be aware that you will be climbing up and down stairs to get to the main part of Trastevere. However the stairs wind past a number of buildings and it is a pretty walk. Cons: There is a bar located on the ground level, of which we were aware. The terrace can have smoke drifting up to it if patrons are smoking below. Bar patrons will be outside talking until 2:00 am. Even with double glazed windows, we used earplugs and were able to get a good night's sleep.

I can't decide if my review should be good or just average. The apartment was clean and spacious. More than enough room for 3 people. It can be noisy at certain times of the day since it sits directly above a bar and next to the street. The view isn't great and there was construction going on that we weren't told about, but for no more time than we actually spent in the apartment it wasn't a problem. We were rarely there. It's in a good location, walkable to nearly all the sites in Rome as long as you don't mind a lot of walking. Trastevere is a great neighborhood. We always felt safe. The person who met us with the key did not speak any English, so if it hadn't been for a friend who spoke Spanish, we would not have been able to communicate. The only glitch that was a bit of an inconvenience was that the private car we had scheduled to pick us up from the airport never showed up. About an hour later, we were told the driver wasn't coming at all and we ended up getting a cab. But in general, it wasn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, only a minor inconvenience. Having seen other parts of Rome now, I would probably not choose to stay here again, but would opt for a room in a hotel if not traveling with a big group. Although the overall experience was good and no real complaints, it was at the same time average in my opinion. However, I would not discourage anyone from staying here either.

Apt. was very clean and spacious. Our family of 4 adults did not feel cramped. We loved the open feel of the apt. The bathroom was large which is always a surprise in Europe. The terrace is nice and relaxing, but can be noisy in the evening as it overlooks a busy street and there is a bar on the first floor of the apt. building. The owner/ manager is very helpful and accommodating. He even called a taxi to the airport for us. We walked everywhere; however the bus and tram are close by. Trastevere is a real neighborhood and lots of fun. We always felt safe, even at night.
