Villa Ocotal is a private, all-inclusive Costa Rica villa rental located in Ocotal Beach, a very safe and friendly beach village only 20 minutes from the new Daniel Oduber International Airport (Liberia Airport). The Villa is located on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean and beach resort of Ocotal.

Villa Ocotal is located in the middle of all the tourist attractions, sport fishing, beach activities, scuba diving, horseback riding, nature tours, volcanoes, and rain forest. Two miles north is Coco Beach, a great Costa Rica village with lots of nightlife and Costa Rican culture. Villa Ocotal offers all the amenities for your comfort and enjoyment, with 8000 square foot of living area, eight bedrooms with air-conditioning and ceiling fans for guests, two additional rooms for 24 hour staff, edgeless pool with island, exercise equipment, and pool table.

We went (group of 8 women) for our "Fabulous 40" trip. We highly recommend this property. We were extremely spoiled by Guillermo, German, our driver Arturro, and all the friendly staff. If you are looking for a private environment with personalized service do not hesitate to consider Ocotal or the other Barefoot properties. It was very safe and kept very clean. We did many tours while there such as Seabird Sailing, Buena Vista, Surfing at Tamarindo, and Riverboat Jungle Cruise. All were amazing and the villa arranged everything for us. Ocotal Beach is a short walk away but it was hard to leave the infinity pool and German's caipirinha’s during the day. We were able to plug our ipods into the stereo for relaxing music, or dancing at night. We had the villa bring in the Costa Rican band one night and it was so much fun. The spa ladies were also brought in (twice!) for the best massages ever. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Afternoon snacks of guacamole, pico de gallo and taquitos hit the spot. We were also served deep fried cheese and mushrooms as well as fresh fruit. German and Doris did a great job at dinner time in helping each of us celebrate our birthday(s). German is so attentive he wouldn't even let us pour our own wine! We found all we needed for shopping in Playa Coco, as well as great night life. Guillermo knows everyone in Coco it seems, so we got great service everywhere we went. Overall the Villa experience was perfect and the attention to detail made our 40 trip even more memorable. I celebrated my 40th birthday at villa ocotal with my wife and 5 other couples. Everyone loved it. Pool, hot tub, outdoor bar are just a few of the amenities. The all inclusive bar never closed and German made amazing fresh drinks from pineapples etc. His wife, Doris, cooked delicious meals and snacks. Guillermo was an excellent concierge, host and by the end of our stay we counted him as our friend. He can arrange anything you need which was great for some of my friends that had not traveled abroad before. He arranged great fishing trips, massages, shopping trips, zip line tours, ATV tours, sailing excursions, and a night out on the town. If you bring good friends you cannot go wrong here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I spent 5 days at villa ocotal and it was great! Gabrielle was the best bartender ever and I always had someone with a smiling face to greet me, no matter what time of the day it was. Guillermo did an awesome job making sure our family wedding went smoothly. Even when I asked for a simple snack, a platter was made for me! Thanks for a great relaxing vacation that was much needed. The beach was quiet, town was great and it was a very safe and hospitable area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.

We loved our april stay at the Cabanas. The appartment was nicer than what we thought! The staff was very nice and helpfull. The pool is well keeped, and quiet. Hope we can come back again soon!Recommended for: Tourists without a car.

If you are trying to decide where to stay, this is the place to be. Staff, Management, house, pool. All just perfect. I am here with 9 good friends and we just spent our first night and we are sitting around having coffe and saying what a perfect place this is. Not one complaint or improvement was suggested. Doris and Pam did a fantastic job for our planning and German, Freddie and the rest of the staff are awesome. Love, Love, Love it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

I loved, loved , loved this house and the staff! This was a dream vacation with my family and friends. This lived up to every expectation we had! AWESOME! I want to come back!!
