Loved the cottage on Tattnall Street. So warm and cozy. I have 2 younger children that loved the upstairs, as well as the beautiful courtyard. It was in such a great location, easy to get to everything. We will definately be staying there again!! Thank you!!

This was our first VRBO experience and I can say we may never stay in a hotel again! This place was even prettier in person. It was beautifully decorated, clean, and didn't feel like a rental, but like a home away from home. The outdoor space was perfect. We had dinner out back one night and drank our coffee out there in the morning while our 1 year old happily played outside. It is in the historic area, very close to Forsyth Park, yet far enough from the noise and was very quiet at night. Also, Betty (the owner) was absolutely wonderful - made everything simple and easy and had lots of helpful information including restaurants, maps, etc. Thank you again Betty for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at the Cozy Cottage on Tattnall Street for 3 nights with our dog at New Years. We didn't use our car at all while we were there since we were able to walk to all the places we wanted to in the Historic District. The cottage is nicely equipped and had everything we needed. We enjoyed making coffee at the house before heading out to explore Savannah each morning. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Savannah.

This was exactly what I was looking for when I decideded to finally come to Savannah! I only needed my toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, otherwise it was provided. It has that historic feel that I was looking for on my first trip to Savannah. My puppies felt very much at home and really enjoyed their first "fine dining" experience at the Pink House's side bar/patio. The linens were very soft and smelled great. The cottage is on the outskirts of the histroic district but is quite a beautiful walk to River Street. Savannah is everything I expected...excersice included...bring your walking shoes!! Just as a safety measure...be careful of the back road (Montgomery i think). Locals travel speeding through there and walking out the back of the driveway can be dangerous, we were almost hit by a speeding car. The bush is right by the road and you can't see oncoming traffic so please keep you puppies on a short leash and your eyes open until you clear the road!! I totally recommend. Thanks Betty!!! Kirsten

My husband and our dog stayed at the little cottage on Tattnall St. for a few nights just before Christmas. The place was just great and we really enjoyed the gas fireplace once we figured out how to light it. I'm disabled, so I really utilized the parking space on the thru-way next to the house, so we didn't have to worry about street cleaning and moving the car at night. Betty was just great answering all of our questions and e-mails. Thanks Betty! and Happy New Year to you!

This lovely little place is a couple of blocks from Forsyth Park, in easy walking distance from most of the iconic destinations of historic Savannah (like Mrs. Wilkes' Boarding House!) We didn't use our rental car at all, except for a trip to Bonaventure Cemetery and Tybee Island on our last day there. Nicely furnished and equipped, and the owner is close by for any help and advice you might need.

We stayed here for the Savannah Rock and Roll 1/2 marathon. We could not have asked for a more convenient location. We could walk to everything in the historic Savannah district! The cottage was adorable and very comfortable. Betty made sure everything was ready and met us to give us the key. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you Betty.

Betty made sure that everything was ready for us and met us there to give us the key. We would definitely stay here again. My husband and I and our two Jack Russell terriers spent Halloween in Betty's cosy cottage on Tattnall Street -- and it was a treat not a trick! The location couldn't be better from our point of view because you are still walking distance to everything the Historic District has to offer, Forsyth Park is a few blocks away which is great to people-watching and dog-walking and yet Tattnall Street is lovely and quiet. The house is beautifully-decorated and functionally well equipped and while we didn't do any cooking or use the laundry facilities, it would be a great place to make a few meals and enjoy them either in the beautiful private courtyard or at the dining room table while a load of laundry was being done. We made good use of the WIFI and enjoyed being able to watch a bit of football before turning in for the night. (The bed downstairs is very comfortable!) The ability to have your car parked off-street was an added bonus. We cannot wait to return. Thanks Betty!

This was a lovely place and the pictures don't do it justice. Two other women and myself stayed here during a convention in Savannah. We so enjoyed the quiet location and nearby park. We all felt very safe and the owner was extremely helpful....highly recommend!!!!

It was the first time in Savannah for us - 4 adults and a dog. Savannah is truly a great place for walking and we enjoyed all of the activities but what we enjoyed most was Betty's cottage. It is close enough to all the action to be accessible yet far enough away from it to be peaceful and we all felt so much at home. We have never stayed anywhere that had so many personal touches. Every time we opened the front door we felt as though we were being welcomed into the house. Our time spent there was all too short but we left feeling relaxed and renewed. Betty was extremely helpful and accessible when we made our arrangements for the rental. She was out of town during our stay but she took the time to connect with us to make sure all was well. Her personal touches are evident in the property and in the way she manages it and connects with people. This was a wonderfully positive experience. I hope we can someday return.

My husband and I enjoyed a week on Tattnall Street and absolutely loved it! The house was exceedingly comfortable and immediately felt like home. Anything we needed was available to us. It was well apportioned but not stuffy or ostentatious. Betty is the consummate hostess, solicitous without being overbearing, and taking care to check in on our well-being a few days after check-in. She was very easy to communicate with ahead of time, and was very responsive - in fact, when searching for a place to stay, she was the first to respond to my inquiries. We brought our Bichon with us and he moved in like he owned the place. Since he is a member of the family, it was a treat to be able to bring him with us. Daily walks in Forsyth Park were mandatory - early in the day as it was, afterall, August in Savannah! We will be back over the Thanksgiving holiday and we can't wait. Thanks again, Betty, for your wonderful hospitality and great customer service. You're a gem!

PICTURES IN THE LISTING DO NOT DO THE COTTAGE JUSTICE---IT IS A GEM. BETTY IS GREAT AND AVAILABLE. WE USED THE PATIO FOR BREAKFAST AND DINNER. IF YOU CAN WALK FOR AN HOUR, IN FOUR SESSIONS YOU CAN COVER THE HISTORIC DISTRICT ON FOOT. BEAUFORT, HILTON HEAD, TYBEE ISLAND ARE 45-60 MINUTES AWAY.GREAT CITY IF ONE LIKES PEOPLE, WALKING, HISTORY, AND EATING. EVERYTHING WAS A POSITIVE.

This is home is everything you are looking for. We enjoyed our stay here in Bettys home so much we can not wait to come back. It is VERY clean, and very homey. We stayed 4 nights and we hated to leave. Thanks again Betty for the use of your beautiful home. We loved everything about Savannah. Dee (Ga)
Owner response:I have tried to create a welcoming and tastefully decorated, but comfortable atmosphere, where you can put your feet up and relax without feeling like you are in a museum.

My husband and I spent January 2011 at The Cozy Cottage On Tattnall Street. In spite of unseasonably cool low temperatures throughout the south east, we had a comfortable stay. The location is great, ten minutes from shops and two blocks from Forsyth Park which was a wonderful place to walk our dog and people watch. Betty was especially attentive to all our needs and we feel we have made a friend in getting to know her. She was helpful in recommending restaurants, specialty shops and things to do in and around Savannah. The Cottage was perfect for us, tastefully furnished as the photos indicate and in addition has a parking spot right beside the cottage. We would return.

We were looking for a getaway for Thanksgiving 2010. We opted for Savannah and Tatanall Cottage. Thanks for a great stay and very comfortable accomodations. Pictures simply did not do the Cottage justice, the attention to detail and comfort to guest was superb. Again thanks for a GREAT stay...a certain five star!!!!

This was PERFECT for our girls weekend. Very clean & comfortable. Just what we needed. Within walking distance of most everything of interest. We are recommending it to our friends & families Our only regret was not being able to stay longer!
Owner response:I designed this house to be not only attractive, but comfortable. You can put your feet up on the coffee table and not worry about messing up anything. You are within walking distance of everything of interest, but you can come back to a quiet neighborhood and get a good night's sleep. Thanks to all my great guests for their comments.

Very nice rental. Clean and comfortable. Stocked with practical things that everyone needs. That was very nice. Loved using the printer to check-in online for flight home. Off street parking was a big bonus. I would recommend this rental to anyone going to Savannah. Thanks for a great place to stay.

A friend and I stayed here for a Girls Getaway Weekend in early December of 2009. The "cottage" is wonderful. Everything we could have wanted. Cozy, comfy - all that you need. The owner was extremely helpful with information about the area and restaurant recommendations. She was even there when we arrived with a welcoming, warm fire. Close to Forsyth Park. Easy to walk around. Nice to have the off street parking. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Savannah.

All you need to bring are a change of clothes. Betty has absolutely thought of everything. Yes, I mean every single little thing. This was a wonderful place to stay. Great location. I hope that we are able to return and stay again. Everything was so clean and it was decorated very attractively. The beds were super comfortable with wonderful linens, white fluffy towels in the bathrooms. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much for all you did and for the southern hospitality.

This comment is long overdue. A friend and I stayed here last April and it was wonderful! Betty couldn't have been nicer. The southern hospitality was evident in all of her special touches throughout the house and she always went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. It was a house I wouldn't mind living in! The location was perfect. . . just far enough away from the tourist areas to be relaxing, but yet convenient to all. We would definitely stay here again. Our week in Savannah would not have been as memorable if we'd stayed anywhere else.

This house was wonderful. Betty, the owner, was wonderful and very helpful, accomodating and responsive. The home was beautiful, well stocked and very homey. We loved it and enjoyed every minute of our long girls getaway weekend. The house is very close to everything you would want to see, but also enough off the beaten path to be quiet and private. Loved the courtyard. Would recommend this property for girl getaways or romantic get aways... terrific!
