The Ideal Day - Wake up and have breakfast in this charming summer home on the screened porch overlooking a wooded wetlands and all of nature's animals. Once your croissants and coffee are done you can stroll down to the beach for a quick swim and warm yourself in the sun. Around noon (Chicago Time) you will want a quick shower and a quick five minute ride to Soe's for Bloody Mary's and a gourmet lunch on the patio.
Then a leisurely drive down Red Arrow stopping in at Marco Polo for that great piece to finish your living room and don't forget to stop and see Debbie at It's A Breeze for the latest Michael Aram, Pala check and Roost accessories. Prime Tanning, I mean Prime Wrinkling Hours are over now so scoot back down to the beach for a swim in the warm Lake Michigan Waters then home in just a couple minutes and under the water fall shower you go.
Visitors arrive right at 6 (Michigan Time) and you're out on the patio enjoying cocktails and grilling fresh, locally farmed New York Strip Steaks from Driers (the local butcher whose business has been in this area for over 75 years). After your guests leave you can lounge on the oversized, down sofas in the living room or gaze at the amazing stars in the sky from the front porch and talk about tomorrows adventure! |
