We bought this home five years ago when we moved to Walla Walla to continue our pursuit of making great wine. We fell in love with the original hardwood floors, moldings and unique detail of this house. We renovated the bathroom, adding a cast-iron, claw foot bathtub we found in an old, local hotel (now 26 Brix restaurant.) We also did some work in the kitchen adding a beautiful Bertazzoni stove, and French doors that open out to the back yard.
The brick courtyard outside is surrounded by eight-foot walls, providing a sense of privacy. The yard also has a great fire pit, a resererected combine wheel. We supply oak staves from old barrels for burning. Off the courtyard is the casita. The casita is the third bedroom with the added privacy of being detached from the main house. Enjoy a glass of wine in the outdoor livingroom.
This is a great rental for first time visitors or seasoned veterans of the area. The proximity to town and the comfort of our home are sure to make your visit to Walla Walla memorable. We thank you for your consideration and hope you enjoy your visit. |
