Casa Caribbean Soul is a brand new home that is situated on a sandy beach in Tankah Bay. Tankah Bay is one of the larger bays in the area, on the Caribbean Sea and located in the State of Quintana Roo near the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.
Upon entering the front door of this dramatic 3 bedroom 3 1/2 and a half bath villa, there is a stained glass sea turtle at the front door to greet you. Once inside your eyes are immediately drawn to the spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea through the floor to ceiling doors and windows in the living and dining areas of this incredible villa. The main living area of this home has a 30 ft. ceiling with a cupola and beautiful stained glass tiffany style lamp with dragonflies that dangles elegantly from the ceiling.
Surrounded with woven reed and bamboo furniture with plush cushions in tropical prints,this home lives up to it's name Casa Caribbean Soul. Two different 4ft X 6ft paintings of Scarlet Macaws hang on this dramatic wall in the living and dining areas. and on the opposite wall a painting of Toucans in the jungle,with beautiful tropical light fixtures all around. The living room has two large comfortable sofas and two large chairs along with a flat screen TV on an adjacent wall.
The kitchen is complete with everything you need to prepare meals and all new appliances. A nice selection of pots and pans and various other necessities.Sleek jade granite countertops and special order glass tiles complete the finished look for this functional area.
The dining room has a round glass top table with a carved palm tree base and 6 woven reed chairs with cushions and a beautiful tropical chandelier for dining. There are ocean views from every room in this house and plenty of brushed aluminum framed windows & glass doors that open directly onto the outdoor patio and to the sandy beach from the kitchen, dining room and living room. This house is designed to maximize the natural light and tropical breezes and there are plenty of both throughout the house. There is a half bath- room for your convenience directly off of the living area.
The downstairs has a large bedroom with a king-size pillowtop mattress dressed in 500 count egyptian cotton sheets for your sleeping comfort. There is a glass slider that opens directly onto a patio and sandy beach. Enjoy the spacious private bath from this room and a Caribbean view as you shower in paradise.There is a new quiet mini-split a/c and a personal digital safe, and a Minka ceiling fan over the bed.
Upstairs you'll find 2 master bedrooms with king-size pillowtop mattresses with 500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets for your sleeping comfort and large private bathrooms, all with views of the Caribbean Sea, with private walk-out balconies off of each room overlooking the beautiful Tankah Bay. One room done in caribbean turquoises and the other in rich reds and earth tones. All of the bathroom countertops are finished in exquisite marble. One vanity has above counter glass vessel sinks. Each private bedroom and bathroom has its own brand new quiet and efficient mini-split air conditioners,Minka ceiling fans and digital personal safe.
Follow the stairs topside to the roof and enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets or just tropical birdwatching with a 360 view of the ocean, bay and jungle. One of the only houses on the bay that you can enjoy the sunset over the water.

Why the Owner Chose Tankah
It was never our intention to build this house for a vacation rental, however after building it, we decided that it would be nice for others to enjoy it as much as we do.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Because of the close proximity to the reef the snorkeling is INCREDIBLE! It is also a perfect bay to kayak in. The house itself really gives you the feel that you are in the Caribbean, as it maximzes the views & the tropical breezes. All of the glass walls that look out to the beach and ocean really bring the outdoors in, it's just a lovely place to be.

"Beautiful And Very Private, Great Vacation" "We went last June(2008) to Casa Caribbean Soul. We had a wonderful time. Very reasonable for what you get. Great views and beautiful for snorkeling right outside your door. The house was kept very clean everyday by the on-sight groundkeepers. They will cook for you also. Great customer service. Lots of things to do nearby. Tulum is beautiful one of the prettiest beaches I have seen. I want to take our kids back there soon. It seemed very safe. Fly into Cancun and rent a car you will have a wonderful time. "

"Caribbean Soul is a gem!" February 14-21/2009 "Casa Caribbean Soul is a beautiful, immaculate, comfortable vacation home. Everything from the towels to the furniture, the artwork,even the windows is first class. If you can appreciate quiet, natural, semi-secluded beauty you will love it. Snorkeling and ocean swimming is outstanding right out front in the bay. Jadee, the owner, was very helpful to us in our preparation for the trip and was very responsive to our inquiries. The sandy beach in front is raked clean and flat daily by the wonderful caretaker Marcos, who is very friendly and helpful and ever-vigilant in his care for the guests. His wife, Leydi, is an excellent cook and will prepare your meals for a reasonable fee, which we HIGHLY recommend. Take Marcos into town to buy lobster tails and let them cook them up...they will blow your mind!!! Inside, the casa is tastefully decorated and is extremely comfortable. Each bedroom has a luxurious bath with lovely granite countertops and spacious walk-in showers. Forget about lowering your expectations since it is Mexico...this place is NICE in anyone's book. We have looked at most of the nearby bays in Soliman and Akumal, but we prefer Tankah, since there are no boats or jetskis disturbing the peace, and there are no mega-resorts clogging the beaches. It is just a peaceful place with a laid-back slow pace. If you want discos, don't go here...but if you want peace and relaxation, this is the ticket. The archeological sites of Tulum and Coba are nearby. Both are worth the trip. If you want restaurants, there are a couple of good ones just on the bay, and several more in town, but we preferred to cook at home, or let the housekeepers cook for us... Anyway, this is our second trip to Tankah, and this house really made a great vacation even better. "

"Bravo, Casa Caribbean Soul" "My family of five were there Jan. 09 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We had researched many many villas in the Mayan Riviera and we kept coming back to Casa Caribbean Soul as the place to stay. Solitude, location, water, amenities, and style, style, style. If we had just noticed that sea turtle that was in our video while we were there we would never have left that beautiful bay. And there are very few, if any, other villas that can boast enjoying sunsets across water, from the roof no less! It was for us 'the way' to share our family time. "Christmas at Casa Caribbean Soul" ProfJane Minneapolis. Date of Stay: December 20/2008- January 3/2009 "We stayed at Casa Caribbean Soul for two weeks with 6 adults. The house is beautiful with all the amenities and exceedingly spacious for 3 couples or a family. Each bedroom suite was private and had a large and very modern bath with shower. Everything is new, comfortable, and luxurious. There was maid service everyday and she even washed all our dishes. The caretaker also helped us with other house chores and made us feel safe in a relatively out of the way site. It was super relaxing. The house is literally on the beach. The beach has sand but you need shoes to take a walk. We snorkeled right in front of the house. If you want waves and a traditional beach head for Tulum. The area has lots to do and you need a car. It is really close to Tulum (15 min. max) for groceries, and Akumal is just as close for diving. Both are good for restaurants. There are also restaurants within walking distance but they are expensive and not that great. We did side quick trips to the cenotes and other beaches with waves. I highly recommend this property if you want a spacious and upscale house in a quiet location. We will go back again."
