This is the third year we have worked with Amy and we continue to be pleased with the quality of her home and her responsiveness to our needs. There was a small issue with one of the appliances and she responded immediately to make sure the problem was fixed. The location is perfect: not too far from a Metro station, within a mile from a Safeway grocery store, and close to the Beltway. The home is spacious, has comfortable furniture, and has a great kitchen and eating area. Our high school students loved to relax in the TV room after a long day of sightseeing. Suggestions: a few more supplies such as dishcloths, paper towels, kitchen spray cleaner

I rented this house for three families to stay in for my sons wedding. We had 11 of us including two small children. The house is plenty big for accomodating this many people to sleep and enjoy the stay. I had the rehearsal dinner catered at the house also and it was so much nicer then having everyone at a restaurant. The house was well equipped for our needs. This house is kept very clean but I would recommend interior painting to make it a 5 star ++ rating. :-) Thank you for everything Amy.

The house was wonderful! The location was convenient in a quiet and secure neighbourhood. DC was only a short drive away. The size of the house was excellent with spacious rooms for our big family. The furnishing was tasteful and elegant. The younger family members were very happy with the size of the tvs. The house was very clean and well equipped with amenities. This propery fulfilled all our expectations and we had a very enjoyable stay in the beautiful house. We can therefore and already have recommended this house to anyone visiting the DC area.

August 2011 Review

This is a lovely house that could be an A+ with a small amount of $$s. There was only two dish towels thus we used hand towels which were in short supply as were bath towels. No blankets in the bedrooms and of course not everyone is comfortable with the same temperature and some needed a blanket. We could also have used lamps in all the bedrooms for those of us who like to read before going to sleep and more silver-ware and bed pillows were needed... A bit more cleaning would also help. And it is a six bedroom, not seven. The seventh bedroom consists of a futon only. Plenty of good restaurants in Alexandria and Georgetown and of course lots to see in DC. If recommending to a friend, I would suggest they bring bath towels, kitchen towels and blankets.

Perfect Home for Entertaining!

Our son was married in Clifton, VA this past weekend and we rented this beautiful large home for our family and friends coming from out of town to stay in. Everything worked out perfectly. As the parents of the groom we were able to host the rehearsal dinner and brunch the morning after the wedding. The home is definitely well-suited for entertaining large groups of people. The home was perfectly located for all of our needs while we were there. Everyone had their on space and the kitchen area is awesome for entertaining! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone......the pictures don't do the house justice...it's so much better!! I agree with a previous comment, that some additional pillows and blankets would have been helpful. Thank you so much for everything Amy!

We recently stayed in this home during our visit to the DC area. It is well worth the price. The home is very comfortable, spacious and offers a lot. the driveway is huge with parking for many vehicles. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were large. Beats any motel any day. I would only suggest to the owners to ad some pictures to this site. Add a couple of pictures of the master bath as well as a picture of the great room with the leather sofas off of the kitchen/dining area. I would reccomend this home to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for a wonderful week's accomodations in your beautiful home. We were pleasantly surprised and pleased when our daughter called after arriving before us with her family, and told us it was a great place for our plans. The location was perfect for us with another daughter living in Alexandria five minutes away, and close enough to all the attractions in D.C. to be easily accessible. With six bedrooms and four baths there were plenty of beds and sinks and showers. The grandkids also loved the jacuzzi in the master bath. The pictures accurately display how nice the house is. We will definitely consider using this property again in the future when we spend time in the area. The owner actually came while we were there and fixed a small problem that developed. The total experience was excellent. Suggestion: a few extra blankets and pillows available in a closet.

Overall, very good experience for our quadri-generational family visit to DC. Some little things were quickly and graciously taken care of by owners. Would recommend to all. Only thing that would make it better would be if it were closer to DC. Try it...you'll like it!

Perfect house for families

Our group included two families with a total of seven kids ages 10 and up. The floorplan allowed us lots of space for interaction, as well as plenty of space for privacy. The roomy kitchen and eating areas were great for meals, we appreciated the convenience of wireless connectivity (since we're all quite tied to our technology!) and we never felt crowded. The house is lovely and was very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed it as our home away from home for the 10 days we were in D.C. Highly recommended.

Amazing Vacation Close to DC

As soon as we walked into this house we immediately learned that these pictures do not do it justice, it is absolutely beautiful! My wife and mother fell in love with this house so much that they had every intention of being stowaways, they really did not want to leave! This home is immaculately clean and it is in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood (which is a great treat since where we live, it is anything but quiet). This home is very close to Washington D.C., and not terribly far from Baltimore M.D. or Annapolis M.D.either. The owners of this home are wonderful, they are very responsive to their guests, and they pay great attention to details. Unfortunately there is no way to accurately describe this home, you have to see it to truly appreciate it. We have only been home for two nights and we are already starting to plan our next family vacation, we have no intentions on wasting anytime, we cannot wait to go back! We cannot thank the owners, particularly Amy enough, they made our first family vacation so wonderful that even more members are planning to attend next year! Lots of Room, Pictures Represent the Home Well

Our stay at this house was very nice. We had a family of 12 stay and there was plenty of room and parking for everyone. The house is nicely located off of 495, close to substations for the metro and located nicely to grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies and diners. The house had two AC units to cool the home so it was cool during the hot days during our stay. The house was furnished with comfortable furniture, cable TV, internet, dishwasher, front loader washer and dryer and other convenient items. I provided a score of 4 out of 5 due to the home containing many stains on the carpet and the paint needing to be touched up throughout the home. Amy was very good about checking in with us at the first part of our stay. I would recommend this home to other large parties and I would stay here again if I visit the DC area again in the future. Terrific Location, Safe, Quiet and Clean

We arrived to find a clean house and a fresh floral bouquet. We spent 2 weeks exploring the DC area and enjoyed our stay at this property! The house is close to 2 metro stations (5-10 minutes by car) to catch the trains and a metro bus stop is less than a mile away. The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac and close to grocery stores, shopping and restaurants. Very convenient. Only disadvantage was the bedroom on the main level had a futon style bed. All other bedrooms are upstairs, so anyone that has difficulty climbing stairs or is disabled would have to utilize this room. The owners were excellent to work with and checked in via email upon our arrival to make sure everything was satisfactory. We would definitely recommend the property and would stay again if the opportunity arises.

DC Vacation

We rented the house for mid-March and had a great time! It is exactly as shown - spacious, in great condition and comfortable. We have 11 people (7 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 toddlers) and the house worked out great. When we visit DC again, we will definitely check here first and recommend to anyone that asks!

We stayed 2 yrs ago, and our group still talks about the wonderful experience. We had 6 couples from different areas of teh country getting together. We had plenty of space, plenty of parking, and easy access to DC through the light rail. Amy was the best, always responsive by email, and one of the nicest owners I have ever worked with. We hope we can come back to DC, and if so, Amy will be the first person I will contact!

Eight of us travelled from Toronto for our annual hockey trip and had an amazing time. The house had everything one could imagine and then some. We all agreed we would stay again if we ever found ourselves back in the DC area.

Our family totally loved this rental home. The house was super clean and had all the accomodations as a true home. I have rented so many other place and nothing compare. Even relatives who came from Boston and surrounding area to visit said they were impressed!!! The owner, Amy, was very sweet, she contacted me via email and phone to make sure everything went well when I checked in. There were plenty of room for 2 toddlers and 2 kids to run around. My mother who was illed didn't mind staying at home while we were all out doing our "tourist" things. We were so dissappointed when we had to check out to another place for the duration of our vaction. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone (myself included) to book this house again whenever I am in the DC/VA area. The drive to DC was not bad at all. It was worth it!!!

Great Home for Spring Break Washington Visit

We drove down from Massachusetts for school vacation with our 8 year old, 13 year old, and my 79 year old mother. The house more than met our expectations. The house was well maintained, clean, with comfortable beds, and was fully equipped. This was a great alternative to renting two hotel rooms in Washington and gave us all plenty of room and a lot of extra conveniences. Our family stayed for 5 nights and went touring Washington 4 days and to Mount Vernon one day. We drove and parked at the Arlington National Cemetary one day and took the metro into Washington three days. All in all it was great vacation!. Thanks Amy!

What a great pleasure it was to stay at this home on our vacation in the Washington area. Amy you have a great rental home, it had such a welcome feeling. It was clean and fresh and roomy. We have stay at many different places on vacations and your house was the best. We had a great time in Washington and in the home, it has everything that you could need. The neighborhood was so quite and peaceful too. It was very hard for us to leave and come home! We would RECOMMEND this home to anyone that is looking for a beautiful home to enjoy and feel welcome!! We have rented many condos & houses over the years & this was one of our nicest experiences. We had 12 people & lots of room & beautiful furniture. Over 100 family and friends came to bury my father in Arlington. We were the only ones to rent a house. All wished they had!! I'd recommend this house to anyone with a large family, or a combination of 2 families. Everything about this house exceeded our expectations (the photos do not do it justice) and it was perfect for my brother's family, with 3 sons, and our family, with 4 daughters, to spread out yet enjoy each other's company. The house was immaculately clean and welll-stocked. In a nice, quiet neighborhood. We played games around the huge dining room table, and the young people (17-25) watched movies on the big screen, played playstation and did facebook on the computer. With our vehicle, we had no trouble getting to the Metro in Crystal City (10 - 15 mins w/o rush hour traffic). The Safeway was conveniently closeby, and the kids ordered pizza one night. Hat's off to you Amy Song! We felt so pampered.

The home and accomodations were AWESOME! Amy made our stay warm and welcoming. We stayed during the Inauguration, the house was within close proximity to Washington, DC. I highly recommend the home to those who love comfort and a beautiful place to stay.

I booked this house for a week as I had family in town. The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, clean and well furnished. If you have more than two people coming to the DC area this is a very cost effective place to stay, it's certainly cheaper than 2 hotel rooms and much more comfortable. Kick back at night and watch movies on HBO or Cinemax or rent some movies from the redbox in the Safeway nearby. It is not far from the Metro but you'd need a cab ride or a bus there. This place is ideal if you have your own transportation. I will certainly be booking this house again next time I have family in town.
