LAKE CUMBERLAND & BOAT LAUNCH RAMPS:
You can launch your boat at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park , or the newly updated facility at Wolf Creek Dam . They provide access to two completely different sections of Lake Cumberland. A third launch ramp was constructed in 2007 for boats under 22 feet. This road (Rowena Ferry) is approx. 2000 feet from Apple Valley's Entrance, just off State Park Road!

Ski-boat, fishing boat, pontoon, and jet-ski rental are available for your family's fun time just down the road at the State Park Marina, or at nearby Jamestown Marina.

We suggest that you visit the State Park lodge and pick up an activity schedule. Most activities are free. They have just added a Disc Golf Course for your family's fun time - FREE!
Dining at the Lake Cumberland State Park Resort Lodge is a must. We recommend the buffets - and you can feed leftovers to the "critters" at the lodge patio, overlooking the lake.
You will be sure to see deer if you drive around the park at dusk. And do not forget to watch the sunset from the Lookout Point, a spectacular view of the lake, and just a short stroll from the lodge.

  • We loved the condo! It had all the comforts of home. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was plenty of room for 5 people. We really liked the security of a gated community. I hope to stay again next year! The owner was very helpful with answering all my questions and returning the deposit promptly.

  • We stayed in this unit during June of 2009. We were very pleased. It was located near all the activites we wanted. It was clean, had two nice bathrooms, very comfortable beds, newly updated flooring, kitchen, and paint. We would highly recommend it. The only drawback we could see is that you have to walk through the master bedroom to get to the second bedroom. That was fine with us as we were traveling with our children, but if we were another couple, that may have been a problem. Otherwise, a great vaule and very nice. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or to visit again.

  • We stayed at the condo summer of 2009. We had friends at the Jamestown Marina and were able to easily meet with them. Cumberland State Park has a huge amount of activities. The condo complex was very quiet and well maintained. Most people seemed to be owners. Loved the idea of a gated community. The condo was clean and very well maintained. Our girls loved the bunk beds. Decks are private and overlooks the forest. Kitchen had lots of supplies. Pool was nice and fire pit area was nice. The family that owns the condo are very nice and prompt with service. We loved our stay and hope to return there again soon.

  • We had a great time at Apple Valley when we visited Lake Cumberland a month ago. The condo had everything we needed. It was very easy for us to relax whether we were lounging by the pool or just hanging out on the balcony outside our bedroom. There is lots to do close by. We went horseback riding, we played frisbee golf, and we rented a speedboat at State Dock. I definitely recommend eating at the Lure Lodge. The view is fantastic and the food is very good and reasonably priced. I had such a great time I am headed back in August!! Henri and Theresa were especially friendly and easy to work with. I had never booked a private vacation rental before so I didn't know what to expect at first. So I was very happy to recieve such friendly service. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacation.
