This home features the warm feel of up north Michigan. It is the perfect home for two families to share a vacation. Start the day on the sunny front porch in the Adirondack chairs with a cup of coffee. Walk to town (less than 15 minutes) or down to the beach on friendly in town sidewalks. You can even walk to the marina where we have a 60' boat slip that can be rented for additional fee. A putting and chipping range and tennis courts are right on the property. Many many golf courses are within 10 to 30 minutes from this home (the Boyne Mountain courses, Tree Tops, Bay Harbor, to name a few). In the winter, Boyne Mountain skiing is just six miles away! Boyne Highlands and Nubs Knob are also close by, about 45 minutes drive time. Even the spring and fall offer special events with the Morel mushroom festival in May and in the fall tour the vibrant colors of northern Michigan
The upper floor features three bedrooms; two separate queen bed suites each with their own bathroom, and one additional bedroom with two twin beds and direct access to a Jack and Jill bathroom. The master suite on the first floor features a queen bed, TV and private bath. The lower level features a barracks type bedroom with its own TV and six twin beds. The barracks has access to its own full bathroom across the hall. All beds include bedding. The lower level laundry features one washing machine and two dryers.
The gathering room has two sofas and two cushy chairs. It features a full entertainment center with plasma TV, DVD, CD, XM radio and an i-Pod hookup. The music can even be played throughout the house (even outside on the back patio) through the whole house sound system. Adjacent to the gathering room is a full featured kitchen including dishes, pots and pans and utensils. In addition to the usual appliances, this kitchen also has a seperate drink refrigerator and wet bar. The large farm house table seats 8-10. There is also an ice cream table that seats two in the kitchen. The spacious outside deck that overlooks lake Charlevoix has a table and four chairs and a natural gas BBQ grill. Three cars can easily fit in the driveway. There is also a one car garage and additional parking at the end of the street.
Boyne Mountain is about 6 miles. It features golf, skiing, an indoor water park, mountain biking and a world class spa at the Mountain Grand Lodge. Other outdoor activities are nearby. Oh yeah, don't forget fabulous Lake Charlevoix. By boat, the city of Charlevoix and the outlet to Lake Michigan is just 14 miles from Boyne City and the famed South Arm just 9 miles. Spend the day on the lake with your boat or PWC. You can even moor at Young State Park public beach (about 1 - 2 miles by water)and spend the day relaxing and playing on the beautiful sand beach. |
